The game wasn't bad23087

LYNX from regina,Saskatchewan, canada says (8/May/2003):
for me marvel vs capcom was an ok game but the characters i the game should of had a way better arsenal of moves combos and specials and there should have been other characters from the other comics like flash greenlantern and some more of the xmen characters like rogue beast nightcrawler gambit sabertooth and toad but in my time playing the game it was just one of my favorite game that i played and it could have been a little more difficult for the last boss and the other characters could have been a little more difficult because when i first played it it only took me about 3-4 hours to beat it because all i was doing was fooling around because i was doing all of the difficulties because easy was just to easy to beat and medium was just like easy except that your opponets fought back a little more and hard was just like medium would be in any other game and expert was just like hard in any other game but the graphics in the game were really well done but if any of you dont think so then don't play the game and if you dont think this game needs any more players then just email me to tell me.

Great game, but21869

Simon says (21/Apr/2003):
It is a great game, but only if you could have a list to buy the hidden characters instead of exiting and entering the shop. I was trying to buy all the characters and then it says sold out. SOLD OUT? That was bull $#< remove me > at !, if I was a programmer I would have changed that instead of saying sold out I would let you buy the rest of the characters. Give me a break here, those programmers can't make a game just for the people. I have to enter and exit the game just to see if I can buy any more characters. When I do that no other characters I can buy, they all say sold out. I give it a 5 due to the fact that I can not buy anymore characters so far to build other teams. This game needs improvement Capcom programmers, don't sit around and wank off to convert from Dreamcast to X-box. I would have given it a 10 if I could have a list to buy all my characters. Now it has to settle for a 5 now that I am upset. I was going to give it a 10, 9, 8, 7, and a 6, but it deserves a 5. I can not believe that it says sold out, but everything else is great.

There's only one thing better than this game!9259

Mike G. from USA says (25/Aug/2002):
Marvel vs. Capcom is the craziest fighting game I've ever played. The tag-team action is incredible (same in Capcom vs. SNK 1 or 2, but better characters.) and the controls are so perfect. No matter which mode you play in, it's so easy to control the characters, unlike in complicating streetfighter games. But, there's something better than it. Thats Marvel vs. Capcom 2. I know that it's out for dreamcast and arcades, but in November 2002 it comes out for PS2. It has more than double the characters, 3 on 3 fighting ,instead of 2 on 2,(but once again, better characters than Capcom vs. SNK 1 or 2.) Is there any more we can ask for in a fighting game! These both have incredible cartoon 2-d graphics, nice sound affects, and an unlimited replay value. Marvel vs. Capcom is a must buy!!!

Spiderman and Megman as a team? What More do you want?7469

Jeremy Russell from New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, Canada. says (24/May/2002):
I played this game the first time in the arcade. I said to myself, "This game is a masterpiece!" I bought it as soon as I found out it was released for the PSX. I play it near every day. The graphics are awesome, the special attacks are way cool, and the handling of the characters is like pinpoint exact. I've played many many fighting games in my day, but this game is by far my favorite. If there were any ways it could improve, the only thing I could think of was more characters. Maybe Carnage, Nightcrawler, that evil demon from Resident Evil, and maybe that cute chick from Dino Crisis! Eitherr way, awesome game for young and old alike!

Ragnarok_WolfRider from Les Eyzies says (17/Apr/2002):
I am quite used to playing fighting games, from the real buggy cheap ones to the high quality ones, from the 2D to the 3D .One of the games that I found most inspiring was Marvel vs Capcom. In the corporate world, rarely do companies on the same line of business who will join up(even if they do, internal conflicts and deliberate corporate sabotage will ruin the project). Only in the past few years did some companies loosen up their nerves and tried to make joint-action deals. Capcom was one of them (Capcom vs SNK was their newest allied project with SNK Corp.). Their joint-action project with Marvel Ent. was a blast; it worked.
Marvel vs Capcom is quite a classic on the arcade scene. You can get Capcom's legendary characters (my fav is Megaman) with Marvel universe's heroes (that would be Wolvvie)plus various assistant characters. The combos' quite impressive in all modes; the best are definitely the Tag-team Attack modes. The characters are well-balanced and the graphics are all fun-2D. The music's great too and matched the characters (did anyone notice that Ryu's theme smells like Street Fighter's?). That was the arcade version.
PS? Hmm, OK except that no real cross-over action is possible. All in all, I love the arcade one better. Nevertheless, Ganbare Capcom!

A Little Shy Of Perfect6966

Victor Martinez from Los Angeles,California ,USA says (22/Mar/2002):
When I first began playing the game I found it hard to play in mannual mode. With some coaching from a friend I learned. what attracted me to the game was the awesome list of characters and hidden characters. The super powers were and are awesome. The best aspect of the game was the Double-team attack (both characters for limited time) I found the best was Ryu with a Hurricane Kick and War Machine with the Proton Cannon (when Ryu is about to finish).

A great game if you like Super Heroes we like!2266

Steiner McLaughlin from Hinckley, UK says (5/Mar/2001):
This game is great for people who like the X-Men or Spiderman etc, etc, etc. The graphics are a little basic and 2-D but they have awesome super moves they pull that brings out the power of this game. This might take a while to complete with all the characters but if you like this, you'll enjoy every minute of it!

Marvel vs Capcom1212

Jeff Pohlmeier from Phoenix, AZ, USA says (23/Dec/2000):
I don't know why people like this game so much because it's not that good. There isn't anything amazing about the graphics and the music is terrible. It is only fun with another person and most of the time you end up fighting with them literally because the game is frusterating. It's all about the super combos and special attacks. It gives you a headache and your thumbs blisters trying to get those out over and over again. The only reason to even play one player is get get the hidden characters after you beat it, but you find out you wasted your time because all the hidden characters are a just cheap rehashes of characters you already have with different colors. So there actually isn't as many playable characters as one might think. In the end, I played this game for about two weeks for short amounts of time and it gave me the feeling that fighting games are getting old.
