excellent gameplay, excellent graphics. |
| A gamer from York, England says (15/Nov/2000): |
It's a fantastic game to pick up and play and, if you want them, there is a lot of tactical depth regarding players form, in-game tactic changes, man marking etc. The addition of a champions league with its transfer set-up is excellent and very much appreciated, and together with the player editor/creator ensures longevity. The commentary is poor but functional (Terry Butcher is as good a commentator as he was a manager!!). Players do not get injured during the game and substitutions are purely tactical rather than a necessity. The lack of league teams and their relevant competitions is a downside compared to FIFA, and is the next obvious advancement for the sequel, as would be a comprehensive transfer system (unlike FIFA, the ISS games do not have to be wary of taking sales from their own management games!). If you have not bought a football game for your Playstation and are more familiar with international and top European teams than club sides then this is the best choice you can make.

Sorry...got to go soon....iss is calling me.... |
| Cozens Lad from Cwmbran(near Cardiff), Wales says (16/Feb/2001): |
This game is quite simply..the most complete game ever!....I thought only adventure games could be classed in the 'best game ever' bracket....how wrong can you possibly get?! Iss Pro Evolution plays and looks the buisness and has the lifespan of whats seems to me at the moment to be infinity! Look for goodness sake....when I go on the piss with my mates....we ALWAYS play iss pro to enhance the enjoyment!! This has been happening for 7 months!...And when i see a 'real' football match on the box, its so uncanny to iss pro it hurts! The graphics engine has been significantly enhanced, with the stadiums in particular looking breathtaking...and the movement, like the goalkeepers head turning as the ball flies past him, looking superb. This game persuaded my FIFA loving mates to turn their back on EA and go out and but a copy of iss! Ok,so there isnt many teams and the commentary is farcical, but, hey!...nothings perfect in life!...isnt that right?

Should be considerably better... |
| Mark Andrews from Worthing, England says (13/Aug/2000): |
This game should be so much better then it is. Sure, it plays better than almost every football game ever (with the exception of Sensible Soccer on the Amiga), but it is let down by so many little, but very, very annoying problems. Firstly, you don't have THAT much control over your players - you can't stop them running to get a ball that's heading out of play, for instance. Secondly, it feels very sluggish at times, and your players aren't very clever at all, making stupid runs and giving away penalties etc. Thirdly, the player select system is officially the most useless thing I've ever seen in my life! It always manages to select a player miles from anywhere. However, on a brighter note, you can score some fantastic goals, do some fantastic moves and, if you can get some friends to visit and ignore the minor faults, you'll find that this really is a great, and highly addictive, football game.

the real football |
| Tami54 from Oulu,Finland says (28/Nov/2000): |
I played ISS PRO 98 a lot and loved it, but my dreams came true when i first tryied the evolution, the gameplay is near as you can get comparing with real football. Ea Sports arcade football sucks when you compare it with evolution. As improvement to ISS PRO 98, passes are more real-like than ever. Graphics are quite nice but not perfect. Shooting a goal from 35 metres with Batistuta makes you feel tiggling on your neck and it feels so heavenly.
Thing that you can make your own players is also great, you can make the players realistic for example an attacker is lousy in defending. It`s not sane to create a player with all stats at max. 2 player gaming is the best you can get nothing more fun than scoring the significant goal at the last minute with a superb curve shot, that rules.
I´m waiting ISS PSX 2 so much no-one will believe it`s true meanwhile i just score and score in ISS PRO EVOLUTION.

Great Game Though Not Perfect |
| Ronzie Baby!!!!!!! from London says (6/Dec/2000): |
After playing a great number of football games on Playstation, Nintendo 64 and Dreamcast, not many can compare to the success of Iss Pro Evolution Deluxe. Its a great game, with realistic movements of players, great animation, types of skills, and great playability. However i feel one weekness is the likliness of a person scoring a one on one chance with a keeper is quite high, but in ISS the keeper almost never makes mistakes when it comes to one on ones, he always manages to save them, whereas in Fifa 98 to socre a one on one, u simply have to shoot and u have more than a %50 chance of scoring. This is just something that gets to me after dribbling past the whole team, for the keeper to make my shoot look as if it could have been done better by a toddler. Though, WHAT GAME IS PERFECT :) ITS a great game, LOAAAAAAAADS OF FUN, and AMAZING GAMEPLAY, I DEFFINATELY recomend it, its a GREAT buy. ENJOY :)

ISS Pro Evolution 2 |
| A gamer from London, UK says (4/Oct/2001): |
My name is Dennis from the UK. Any body who thinks fifa is better than ISS are crazy. ISS is the best game in the whole world right now and i dont see any other footabll title beating it for now. Even FIFA 2002 coming out soon, my opinion is that its still not good enough, even though the graphics have been improved but its gameplay still lacks behind. Even though by Luck A footabll game comes to ISS standards, it will only be for a while because the next series of ISS is coming out on the PS2 soon and i cant wait to get my hands on it. If you decide you want to read a preveiw of it you can search for either WINNING ELEVEN or ISS PRO SOCCER, this is becasue they keep changing the name for it and they havent come to a final decison. If you d#still dont believe my verdict, buy or rent a copy of ISS pro 1 or 2 and you will see want am talking about.

The Most Playable Football Game Ever! |
| Danny Jackson from London, England says (1/Oct/2000): |
When I first played this game I wasn't sure that it was the great game that everyone had been talking about. However after a couple of days of playing I began to realise just what all the hype was about. I have played most football games and own all of the Fifa titles but I found that the football dosn't feel realistic enough in them. Although this game does have a few faults, (Terrible Commentary, not having best graphics and not being able to see replays of some of the incidents in the game) the advantages of the game more than make up for it. The passing, movments, goals, and through balls are just some of the things that makes this game stand head and shoulders above the rest. Recommended to all!!

Simply the best |
| Ahmed from Abu Dhabi says (2/Dec/2000): |
ISS Pro Evolution is simply the best game man has made so far. Its much better than Fifa where you see scorelines like 200-98. The Graphics are very realistic and the gameplay couldn't get any better. I'd like to thank Konami for such a wonderful and highly addictive game. After 8 months of daily playing the game I still can't get enough of it. The only 2 negative things about it are the commentary and the menu screens. I hope Konami take that into consideration when making the next ISS. However the gameplay and graphics make it the best game to date. WHat i really love doing is scoring through Bierhoff Headers. KONAMI RULZZZZZ!!!!
|
THIS IS SOCCER, THE BEST EVER, I LOVE ISS!!!! |
| Samme from Göteborg, Sweden says (29/Sep/2000): |
This is the most realistic soccer game I have ever played, and for sure the best to. I love the the way the players slides throw and scores goals and you can score fantastic and realistic goals. This game shows how soccer should be played it`s really good. The feeling when you score a freekick from 40 meters with
Roberto Carlos is amazing or one against one with the goalie when you dribbles him and score, this is soccer!! no real names and stuff like that doesn`t matters, you can change that your self if you like. The feeling in this game is the best thank you KONAMI for a great game and many hours in front of the tv!!!!

Iss Pro evolution does it get any better??? |
| Ed from Leeds, England says (16/Jan/2001): |
I don't think so!!! When will the Fifa lovers of you out there realise that there is only one REAL football game on the playstation. It goes by the name of ISS PRO EVOLUTION. This game combines the exitment, skill and realism of football. It is the thinking mans football game!!! After one game I was hooked and have been playing Iss non stop for the last 3years!Iss 98 was good but evolution is superb!! Congradulations Konami and thank you, you have created the finest football game second only to the real thing. With the ps2 things can only get better. Bring it on!!!!!!!!!

FIFA IS ONLY GOOD FOR THOSE WHO LIKE EASY GAMES |
| Kurt Mifsud from Malta says (19/Dec/2000): |
I was obsessed with FIFA, but when I played ISS it attracted me immediately. It's very realistic, like playing real football: passes can be intercepted, if a player is not facing the goal his shot would be poor, special moves are very difficult to make, the goalkeeper can punch the ball and not only catching it (not like FIFA). I don't care about the players' names. But it's defect is the commentary which oftenly becomes nonsense, and I also think that more teams should be included. However the crowd's support is excellent. It's simply the best football game around.

What an amazing game!!! |
| Jamie Barratt from Portsmouth, England says (16/Dec/2001): |
ISS is quite simply the most breathtaking, realistic footie simulation ever! It beats FIFA in every aspect except maybe the commentry but hey...you can alway turn it off. The gameplay is awesome and graphics crisp and colourful. I guarantee you will not find a game that comes so close to reinacting the beautiful game. The masterleague is a a touch of genius...if only such a league comprising of the worlds finest did exsist!! I have been playing ISS for some 6 months and i cannot stop its like a drug!!! Buy this game if you are a footie fanatic u will not be disappointed!
|
This game pisses on FIFA's grave!!! This game is the Dogs Ballearics!!! |
| thesam from Bexhill, England says (9/Dec/2000): |
This game is simply superb, how did they get it so fantasticlly playable and still be so realistic? It's so fun to play, even though it's the hardest footy game to master. Sure you may loose, but you have such fun playing you move straight into the next game with excitment. The skills in this game are much better than in FIFA, one-twos, chipped through balls and, of course the brilliant dummies! (On FIFA, it is common place to see Niall Quinn, Tony Adams, John Hartson etc do all these amazing skills even Pele or Maradonna would have trouble pulling off!!)

The best game EVER!!! |
| Lars from stockholm,sweden says (1/Sep/2000): |
ISS pro evo is not just a best football game, it´s a best game ever.Sure it doesn't have real names or league teams, but you can do them yourself(which is actually fun!).Although game still suffers from little errors,it´s far more better than for example FIFA.Players moves are very smooth and realistic and handling is almost perfect. I have played it now half a year, and it just get better.Great minus comes from memory card. You need to much free blocks if you want save everything you want. but that's not a big case.Everybody should buy this game.

DOYURRRRRRMM... |
| Altug Erturk from Istanbul TURKEY says (17/Jan/2001): |
I think that iss pro is the best football game ever, because it is very realistic and has a emphasis on team and passing game. Unlike FIFA it took me many attempts to win the World cup and European cup on hard, but on FIFA you can run the defenders up and unrealistic game play. The only thing good about FIFA is the graphics and even that’s being challenged by ISS Pro Evolution. I feel that ISS has to bring this together in the new ISS Pro in the future and bring it on a stage to be the ultimate gamers game.

Bodger and badger are rated up with the likes of the ISS PRO EVOLUTION |

ISS Pro is the standard to which all must now aim |
| Rhys Evans from Newastle, England says (15/Feb/2001): |
I bought ISS Pro last March - and it's still far and away the most played game I own. A friend went out and sold his N64 - with ISS - to buy a Station with ISS Pro. Nothing comes close: it has realism, great graphics, playability and great depth of players. I even enjoy WATCHING the games my mates play - it's almost as good as the real thing. Can it get better - I dread to think. I already spend half my time playing ISS Pro Evolution - the follow-up is a much waited for event.

ISS Pro Evolution, Simply The Best |
| Mike Yee from Wirral, England says (20/Nov/2000): |
I had played this game for about a year now and have not grown tired of it. I'm going to play a tournament with my friends after I showed them the game. They all love it now and agree that this is the best football game on all formats. The gameplay is superb and although ISS does not have the official licence it doesn't matter. I've just imported Winning Eleven 2000 which is the next ISS Pro game. Somehow Konami have improved the gameplay once again!

Kick Butt |
| phill from Cardiff , Wales says (23/Oct/2000): |
This is the best football (Soccer) game ever created. I personally think the graphics are better than FIFA in respect that the players don't look like they are skating on ice. The game play is far better than any football game. The editing features in the game make sure that you never get bored. It is simply the best football ever. If anything is to better it, it will come from the boys at KONAMI with the next installment of ISS, I can't wait.
