A great game that lacked something... |
| Julian marc altrows from toronto, canada says (9/Jul/2001): |
This game was one of my absolute favorites but all the same, something seemed to be missing. I am not playing the game just to finish it, but to have fun. It was also a thinking game but shouldn''t have relied on chance so much, another problem was that in the kingdom branch (keep Bastion under level 8 by the end of the third mission or by choosing "attend to Kamorge" at the end of the third mission) actually has much harder missions, meaning if you really suck at the game and barely beat the first three missions, you will go to the harder missions instead of the easy ones!! It doesn't make sense!! but I need some help on how to get to the ruin branch so if you find out, post it here please.

A great game. |
| Adler Coren from Ohio, USA says (2/Oct/2000): |
I loved the battles. You always have to think a round ahead. I think the mech designs were great and optimal to the playstation hardware. I can not wait and see if another Vanguard Bandits comes out for Playstation 2. I bet it will look even better than now, which is already great. There are still a few things I did not like. the biggest thing is when between missions you only have menus to work with. I like to explore towns and the houses in them,is that to hard to ask for? The cutscreens backgrounds could be use to creat them coulded they? It is not just Vanguard Bandits, but all the games in it genre. I guess I will have to wait and see the one on PS2. Maybe the game producers will add something to do between missions, like Front mission 3's "in game internet"

Another Great Strategy RPG |
| Eugene Gutters from Grand Junction, USA says (26/Aug/2000): |
Its a great game. Its got good story and the replay value is excelent since there are 5 endings and all the stories differ a little bit. The graphics are pretty good too. Its has a some nice options such as in battle saving and the ability to turn of battle animations. The only thing that got me down about it was you couldn't have free battles to raise your party's stats but I quickly forgot about that when I saw the Ultragunner. The Mechs designs in this game are excellent. thats about all. So I suggest buying it if you like Stratgy with a good story.

Naaa.... It was okey not the best game played on PS |
| Richard from Vancouver BC Canada says (15/Aug/2003): |
the gaphics i would rate it 6 out of 10 but the game play i thought was pretty good and the thing i dont get is how r u suppose to beat the game if Zulaworn is soooo much more stronger than the ultragunner and they dont give you enough ATEA opponents to fight until your comrads learn good atacks \\ke Flare Bomb or Spiral Dive !\althought i think that soaring dance is a magificant attack and the end sequall was prettey good!

Game sucks!!! |
| A gamer from Philippines says (28/Jun/2003): |
This game really sucks for me because you can't control the game, the only thing you can do is fight, fight, fight, you can't go to other places and it's obvious that everytime they are on there way, there are always enemies, and the shop doesn't always available, what if you need to buy something and there is no tutorial! how are you gonna supposed to know the meaning of wep!!! THIS GAME DESERVES TO BE IN THE ATARI!!!

Wow, wow, wow, wow. This game rocks and this games even punky, I like it so much, when I played it for the firdt time, I get bored ynd down about this game, but the longer I played it, it gets cooloer, and better and very addictive, now I [played this game for 5 time in a row without boring. I could give this game a overall of 11 out of 10 percent. PS adiques out there, try this game and be ammazed on its gameplay.

| Ralph from Phillippines says (4/Feb/2001): |
I want to complete the 56 missions and see all the ATACs and stuff but I really enjoyed playing it. I am not discouraging other people to buy this game, actually I am trying to promote this game in our school. People's images here are not as great as to Final fantasy 8 but wait till you see the battle animations especially those ATACs and their attacks especially Ultragunner's Soaring Dance.

The Best Game Since Ogre Battle |
| Dionne says (26/Jul/2003): |
This is one of the best games I have ever played. It has all the elements any serious strategy gamer could ever want: awesome battle system, easy to difficult, intriguing storyline, multiple endings(the best part), and that awesome feeling when you make a hit or avoid. This is a great game. I would love to see a sequel. It would be even better to have a portable version of this game.

best strategy game ever! |
| Matt from Rochester,ny,U.S.A. says (6/Jul/2002): |
I beat this game before then I returned it. Now I realize my mistake. I thought the graphics were good for its time. Also I thought that the story was great. I hope they make a second one. I thought that the battle system was a little confusing but all in all it was great.
