FF9 was an ok game but few people could do summons and magic, in ff7 and ff8 when any one could summon or cast magic. Also on the summons it will only show you their long appearance every once in a while. The summons were the best part in it the graphics were great during the movie part of the game but other that they were a sorry excuse. The characters were ok but like I said only a few people could do summons and magic.

I think this game is still one of the best even though it's been out for a while.I think the storyline is a bit strange but it is strange in all of the FF games. The graphics are great and some of the cutscenes are truly breathtaking. The lifespan could long but some people might get bored of it quickly. The music and sound is good but i dont think the battle music is very good. I find i cant get enough of this game.

I thought they couldn't beat final fantasy eight but they far outweight everything in nine. The FMV's are really cool and the game play is excellent, I also enjoyed the story line which like all ff games was great. I loved the more medevil type background of the game instead of the futuristic world of eight. I hope ten will be just as good although I was not happy about the fact that you can't rename your characters

It's a great game in alot of area's but the ability but it could be better,the abilty system in final fantasy 7 was better. I like the fact on ff 9 you dont have to buy the ''all'' mateteia, but i here is what i give the the game in storyline,
music...storyline i give a 9/10, music 10/10, game play 8/10, graphics 10/10, thats about is if you look below this message most of them say "its the best" leten you know

Final Fantasy IX totally rules..!!.. Although its graphics are kinda backward and the storyline is not as good as Final Fantasy 10, its still unique o its own.. It has all these fun mini-games that really challenge the mind and is really addictive.. The only thing that really sux is that their damage is totally pathetic.. they all cant go over 9999.. But on the whole its a cool game worth playing..

final fantasy 9 is the best game for playstation in the world i love it! the battle system, the weapons, the side quests, everything! i'm glad that i bought it it's the best game ever made! my family loves it (with the exeption of my mom and dad!) my brother especially loves it and i'm very glad i got it! and for u new people that are looking for a new playstation game i recomend final fantasy 9!

FFIX is a brilliant game with an excellent storyline. Thankfully it has gone back to the FFVII gameplay type. The addition of characters with tails and regents who are nasty bugs and people who are hippos is intresting but good. But there are still no voices. I think this is the best FF to grace the playstation and i am immensely looking forward to FFX on the PS2. A must buy!

this game is awsome, the cinematics are great and the abilty to make your own decisions to change the course of the game keep you wanting to play more. It has a challenging length to the game and is the best RPG i have ever seen. The reason i gave it a nine was because it sometimes has extensive dialogue which is annoying, but other than that it is force to be reckoned with!

Final Fantasy Series are back with the best game of the series
and also THE BEST GAME EVER MADE in the history of videogames!
Now everything is different. Centuries better than FFVIII and FFVII, Final Fantasy IX is a whole different than other games.
The "juction" menu is now dissapeared(hopefully)and the FMV are better now! I recommend you to buy this game.

i was dissapointed it had potential but it wasn't that great. I thought that it was stupid to go back to the old style. the story got boring after awhile. the last disc was stupid specialy cause you couldn't do anything. the endboss was really stupid..were did he come from? i guess the mogs were really cute and the chocobo thing was ok but it wasn't really that great.

The Bosses which include Guizamaluke, Black Waltz (1,2 and 3,)Ozma, Kuja, The Forest Master, The giant ice sealion, Lani, Zorn & Thorn, Beatrix, The Troll of the outer continent andthe four chaos's. It is the first FF i have played and i must say i totally enjoyed it. Good storyline, you gotta give em credit for such a long story. Nice graphics and mucho full motion vids. I finished it twice and now again for the hell of it. A real buy that you won't be sorry about. Now i want to buy a PS2 just to get FFX!

I loved this game. I loved every FF game (yes I HAVE PLAYED EVERY ONE). As each game progressed, the story got better and better. This Final Fantasy proved to be one of the best. Sometimes the game got a little boring, I know, but there has never ever been a bad final fantasy. Give Square credit, they manage to pull off a grat game every time.

good graphics and good sound dont make up for the horrible story, awful characters(minus zidane, try and name a good one.....Quina? No try again). Every time i played this game i felt bad. Final fantasy vii was the ultimate, i suggest that everyone play that instead. Final fantasy ix steals hours of your life that you can't get back.

I really enjoyed ff9. It had very good graphics and a really neat story line. It was a bit corny some times but believe it or not, i found my self laughing at some of the retarded jokes. This game was worth my money but i always find myself re-playing ff7 just because it is the best game psx has ever made, graphics or no graphics.

I think dat dis is tha worst ff game on the playstation. I have finished every ff game on tha ps (from ff7 to ff10) and i think that ff9 is tha worst in tha whole series. if you think ff9 is good, try ANY other ff game. trust me. ff9 is heapz $#< remove me > at ! compared to the others. If your thinking about buing this game DO NOT BUY IT, IT SUX!!!

I so loved this game! The storyline was deep,i had a couple sniffles! The graphics were awesome. It maybe could be longer,but I don't care,it was still awesome! my favorite character has to be Zidane.
