I think that x-men mutant academy is totally worth getting. If you are a true x-men fan then you can really appreciate playing as one of the original characters in the comic or from the movie. Sorry, if your a star trek fan and you couldn't appreciate this larger than life fighting game, you'll just have suck it up and jump on the band wagon. In closing, any one who has mastered the moves in ten minutes must have no life, and any way, any one can do the moves in academy mode, but what can you put out during an arcade battle. Yeah beat the game hotshot and then come back and tell me how easy it was. And for all those who are missing out on this fighting fiasco get hooked and buy one for yourself. You'll like, I promise.

The animation, graphics, sound and gameplay are all quite excellent. All the necesseties of a good fighting game. The special moves are well done and the option of choosing either movie costume or classic comic book costume is a great feature. The trash talking is hilarious as well!

This game has the makings of a legend but the makers sold it short. The graphics are great, the gameplay rocks, and the moves are easy to learn. The problem is there are to little of characters to unlock, there are not enough modes of gameplay, and therefore gets boring fast. The game just lacks key stuff that brings it down. I do reacomend this game to fans of fighting games but beware, don't pay more than $30 for it.

I thought this game was a good game. A few things it could have is more characters,more special moves. I was impressed with the graphics, the gameplay and the moves. I have never played X-men mutant academy 2,but I bet it will be better in all catagories.
Overal I thoght the game was good. Plus the music was great.

On top of the basic moves, the super moves were a bit hard to master. Sure I got them down in the academy mode where Professor X and Cerebro are telling and showing you how to do it. But once you get out in the game, boom right out the head they go. My daughter likes it, she just throws the characters across the screen. I agree that the good characters are missing. I mean they put Toad in and left out Rogue, Iceman, the more familiar characters. I agree that it got so popular becuase of the movie, heck mine even came with a free movie ticket. But being an X-men fanatic, I still have it, and still play it, and now that I heard there was a second one, i'llhave to buy it as well.

First of all this games graphics a pretty cool but that's all thats good about this game. The moves are way too easy to pick up, as a matter of fact I had every characters moves mastered in 10 minutes. That leads me into the way the super moves look. I mean any other 3D fighting game has better super moves than this one. I must say that their is a wide variety of characters. Also the movie clips are quite enjoyable. In my opion this game is NOT I repeat NOT worth buying and its barely worth renting but if you must play it make sure you have a back up game on hand just so your trip to the video store was not a waste.

It works and moves very well. The characters have fluent moves. It offers fast paced fighting and some cool looking moves not to mention the great character resemblances. The only fall I find in the game is it needs more characters. It is missing some of the best characters from the comics - juggernaut rouge iceman archangel mr sinister - where are they? Those are some of the characters that should be in the game. Had all that been done I would say this is one of the top three fighting games ever put out.

The gameplay was good, but lacks in a few sections. It needs more players and they could use more moves. The academy mode is good but the basic moves i.e. punch, kick, jumping, could of been omitted. The super moves are cool and easy to execute and I liked the counter attack feature. But I got bored FAST. I think it was just a ploy to cash in on the x-men movie. I still think Tekken 3 is a way better fighter. It's not worth buying, you'd be better off renting it.

Okay, let us state the obvious. X-Men on the Playstation: got to give it a good review. Don't ask why. I'm sure it's a law somewhere though. Anyway, I'm not a big fan of the fighter games, but felt compelled to rent this one just because... well... it was X-Men. The prizes keep you wanting to come back for more, but that only lasts so long. After a while I found myself asking... "I have to beat this game with all of the characters?" I had to put it down. I mean... it was fun... but... well... not that fun. Play it, but don't buy it. After a day it's useless.

How can they forget people like rogue, iceman, Mr. Sinister and most definitely MORPH. those guys were the best. It is pretty good but when it comes to characters they do NOT have enough.
I also didn't like te fact that they made most of the moves so simple. I almost always go through the game without any problem at all. I don't understand why the moves are so simple.

A FIGHTING GAME WHAT?ITS OK.If you like X Men you will be dissapointed with this game it has bad things and its very boring.With so many fighting games these days this game dosent have a chance of winning and the gameplay is horrible slow.The graphics are bad so it has glichs and slow downs that mess up your gameplay and it dosent feature ALL of the x men charecters.The only thing that made this game kind of popular was bacuase the x men movie was out.

my little brother wanted a game for his birthday and when we went to the store he stalled us for about an hour so when we got home i played it and after 5 minutes i wanted to break it the moves are so hard and the secret characters are lame if you can play them in versus mode then you should play them in arcade all im saying is this is like a blockbuster rental game buy and dont give it back
