Player Manager 99 | | Dean Hobkirk from Seaham, England says (21/Nov/2003): | Player Manager is still one of my best management sims you have to have a good strategy to survive never mind win any thing.
My top tip to any one is go for the younger players as they are the best choice for a young team and most of them are free.
| The Best but already old | | CDC from Melle - Gent - Oost-Vlaanderen, Belgium says (2/Apr/2003): | Everone who likes to play management games will like player manager. I think it's still the best football management game there is. The originality is quite good, but it's still a usual football management game. The lay-out is very nice. It's easy to play, much easier than al those new player managers. But the thing is, it's old. A player manager game is only good for a yaer, after that too much new players haven entered the football world an too many players have changed clubs. Also you haven't got many choise in compititions. There are only 6 competitions avaible. The German Bundesliga, the English Premier leage, the Scottish Premier leage, the Portuguese Primera division, The Italian leage an the French Premier leage. Some great copetitions like the Belgian Jupiler leage, the Spannish Primera division, the Leage from the Netherlands an many others are missing. But for the people who like going back in time in de 6 avaible competions or for the ones who like playing management games this is a real great game.
| its a good game | | bob from london, england says (21/Jan/2002): | layer manager is a good game for manager simulation fans the only problem it is a bit slow.some people would say that the best feature of the game is that no player has an individual rating.instead the players will have good games and bad games. for simulation fans this is a must buy.
