Smackdown is good smackdown2 is better , but smackdown shut your mouth is the best. Anyways Smackdown 2 has good gameplay graphics .... the only problems this game has is that it takes 2 long to load and it doesnt need all those scenes in season mode.
After playing for 5 years in season mode u unlock all the moves, ans some anvance and standard parts for CAW. I Crated a perfect exect loook of RVD and is was able to give him all the moves he uses in the ring eveng rolling tunder (with help of a created taunt)And feal free to IM me for codes and hints. Smackdown 2 is an awsome game (dipite the drawbaks). I have to say that its almost realistic with the entrence video its like watching it on tv. A really big drawbak is that the loading screans get anoying. and u cant use takers bike as a wepon. this game has something that most wwf-wwe games dont have nearly no glitches. in warzone 4 the n64 u put in a code and the game will freeze you also get unknowns people w/other wrestlers moves and stats how cool is that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The game is pretty good but it is unrealistic for incteance if u throw someone off the hell in a cell they get write back up. And stupid scense in season mode like when it says the rock is here who cares. And if u skip a match u have to wait for some gay health bars to go away. Other than that it is a preety good game

Its one of best games for the game system PS1. It could have been way better if it had burried alive matches, if even if just a little bit of the blood shown,but it is a very , very , VERY fun game. I got to admit, if the graphics improved,and if I did not have to earn or unlock the realy good people like Shawn Michaels, Bad Ass Billy Gunn, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and espesialy Cactus Jack, I would never stop playing!. I realy like the entances or theme songs that the WORLD WRESTLING FEDERATION super stars and divas have. My favorite match in the game is Special guest referee because I control the match. Another one of my favorite matches is the I quit match because I like the fact that I get to beat the living crap out of someone one ontil I make them quit. I like that the game matches all the real super stars moves, every things the same, from when it comes to the clothing and outfits, specials or finihing moves, managers and teams or stables. The game has all the WORLD WRESTLING FEDERATION arenas and mats,and that you can make your own super star or character and that you can make your own pay-per-view.

this game was great. the create a superstar option was awesome the season mode was great after one year its BORING but is stiil a must buy. the hell in a cell match the tlc match and the table match is amazing. the entrences were poor but give it a perfect 10 for PSone go out and buy greatest wrestling game of all time

Smackdown 2: Know Your Role, has it's ups and downs! A couple good things about the game are the various types of matches. I am surprised that they put the TLC match in the game. TLC started very close to the time that Smackdown 2:Know Your Role was released. There are also a great variety of wrestlers to choose from. I think everyone from the WWF (at the time) was put into the game. Surprisingly I thought the graphics were good. With most of the wrestlers, they looked a lot like them! Some of the graphics were poorly done, but the majority were good! I think overall this was a fun game! You get to beat on wrestlers that you don't like and take out some anger! There were also a couple things I didn't like about this game. First of all, the season. It has no story line! And there are parts that show that don't even have to do with you like when a wrestler is provoking another wrestler and it has nothing to do with you or your match. And in the season mode, you fight wrestlers for titles over and over. Even if your not going for the title, you are fighting the same wrestler every week. Another thing is the Royal Rumbles. I have every belt except the light heavyweight. And the winner of the Royal Rumble will face me at WrestleMania, but I was in the Royal Rumble and I won. So when I got to WrestleMania, I had to face Mick Foley. Another bad thing about this game is the sound. If you don't want music playing during the match, you can turn it off, but it also turns off the music for your entrance and you only have the video when you are entering the ring. I think they should have had different sound sections, one for the main menu, one for the entrance and oone for when you fight in the ring. I think overall this was a fun game! You get to beat on wrestlers that you don't like and take out some anger!

What kind of crap is this? It's the worse wrestling game I ever saw in my life. When you are creating a superstar,and you choose standard to go to a original superstar's appearance,you can't at least change the color or add more clothing to the appearance and those stupid loading screens makes me crazy. Too bad it dosen't have WWE Superstars and the new WWE Smackdown! Arena. There are many WWE Superstars that is not in this game like 1.Brock Lesnar2.Billy Kidman3.Hulk Hogan4.Mr.America5.Zach Gowen6.Lance Storm7.Torrie Wilson8.Big Show9.Chavo Guerrero10.Shannon Moore11.Rey Mesterio12.Ultimo Dragon13.Tijiri and more. Well,other then the load times,{Which are horrible}this game is great.The best playstation one wrestling game ever, compared to the other PS1 wresling games out there like WCW nitro,or any ECW game they ever came out with.GIVE ME A BREAK! The move set is awesome, the storylines are cool,and over 60 different playable wrestlers on the game.{how can you go wrong.}

Yeh it is mad, the graphics could of been a bit better but it's still about a 9/10 the 1 point could of been gained if I could accullay fight in title matches and custom made super stars could win championships coss i could absolutly smash everyone with the guy i made. I also think it takes tolong loading for everythingbut it's still pretty good, you should be able to get tables and ladder and stuff from under the ring in any match at any time too, but still it was awesome and it's worth the money!

This is the best wrestling game i have ever played. Who ever said WrestleMania 2000 was better than Smackdown they were wrong. And if they say it now there very very very wrong. The season is brilliant and the tables and caskets and ladders are brill too. The graphics although nearly exactly the same as Smackdown 1 don't confuse you in any of the new modes which I thought would happen. The game doesnt go off the original slugging wrestling type of game which is good but bad. It is bad because sometimes the outlandish things they add in are so much fun. But you can only do a certain amount in a game which makes this a definate 10 out of 10. Get out and buy it FAST!!!!!!!!!!!

THQ Have released the worst wrestling game ever. After playing the table matches and Ladder matches, I find they are totally unrealistic, as You can`t powerbomb people through tables and the ladder match it`s just plain luck if you get the belt or not. As for the charactors, they look quite unrealistic. Test looks like a girl and Big Vis just looks like a big bomb. If there's one game you should never E-V-E-R buy it`s Smackdown 2. Trust me, Raw is much better

SMACKDOWN WAS ONE OF, IF NOT THE GREATEST GAME ON THE PLAYSTATION. THEN CAME THE SEQUAL.
Smackdown 2 will make you love wrestling if you dont yet. The graphics are amazing. All the favourite wrestlers and finishers are included, even the interviewers and presenters like Micheal Cole get in on the action. You can wrestle anywhere and unlock new areas in the season. It is definately worth the money. YOU WILL NEVER EVVVEEEER SEE THE LIKES OF IT ON THE PSX AGAIN.
It's the best and thats the bottom line cause STONE COLD said so!

Well, I guess you ludites have never heard of Giant Gram or Giant Gram 2000....that, my mental midget friends, is the best wrestling game, hands down. Smackdown has its benefits. It does have a much better CAW mode than its predecessor, SD1. The names of some of the moves are terribly incorrect. They do have great moves like just about ALL of Taz's (yes only 1 Z!!) suplexes. It also has the hell in a cell which is quite fun and pleases the sado-masochist in all of us. It also has a great selection of characters, although I don't understand why they have Paul Bearer, Debra, and Road Dog as playable characters since they have the collective wrestling ability of a corpse. Now onto the bad parts...
The graphics are miserable in this game. They really should have improved the crowd and the jagged edges a little bit because it really is terrible. Plus the gameplay is a bit sophomoric for me. Banging on buttons to pull moves off is fun for around 3 seconds. Button combos, and more complex directional combinations increases the learning curve while giving the character a myriad of more moves. Plus the career mode is just intolerable. I really don't need to see load screens of Road dog and X-pac with expressions like they're getting enemas administered to them while my game loads. A big turn off...
Overall its a good wrestling game, but not the best by a long shot. Look up Giant Gram 2000. This is the Ark of the Covenant of wrestling games. The gameplay itself is a work of art. So in conclusion, good, not great, definitely not best ever.

Well i will have to say yes as it has brilliant sound, pretty good graphics and a bucketload of characters. Forget about Tekken 3 and all that WWf Smackdown is here to rule Playstation-owners everywhere. this game is in a league of it's own, although it could have done with some commentary. If it had commentary with Good Ole JR and Jerry the King Lawler it would be 10 out of 10.

If you like putting people trough tables, crackin' backs with anything you can find this is the game for you.
This is a great game with superstars from Stone Cold Steeve Austin to Essa Rios. It has many game modes like cage matchs, hell in a cell matchs and TLC matchs.
The create a superstar is the best ever by choosing the crowd signs and being able to come out on a motor bike like the Undertaker.
The game also includes stables like DX, Too Cool, The McMahoon Family and Edge and Christian. You can also make the stables that are not all ready in the game.
The career mode is the best I've ever seen with backstage beat ups and controversy.
