The graphics are amazing. Being on top of the Hell in a Cell is cool because of the fact that Chris Jericho can double powerbomb someone through the top of the cell. And the moonsault of the cell onto the opponent on the announcer table. The sound is awesome especially with the entrance music. One of my fav moments is putting Gerald Brisco as a special referee and then just wailing on him with spear after spear and powerbombs through tables even though he fought back, but he still got what was coming to him. This game is extremely fun especially the TLC match. Jumping off the ladder onto the opponent and putting him through a table with a Senton bomb or Test Elbow drop. One thing that should have been added was commentary, it is just boring without the announcers making smart remarks. But overall, the game is amazing and incredible.

I gave Smackdown!2 a 10 out of ten because of well theres alot of cool stuff its very fun.Its cool yes.You can go anywhere,includeing the crowd,wwf new york,A.P.A bar,Smackdown hotel and more.Theres alot of special modes such as Tag Team Battle,TLC(Tables,Ladders and Chairs),Special Guest Referee and for the female charecters a Hot Chick Match(they strip each other its funny dude!).Plus it has all the top super stars like The Rock,Stone Cold,Steve Austion,Mean Street Poss plus over more than 50 more.You can create any wrestler since wrestlers like Booker T and Rob Van Dam arent in this game i just created them and you can save up to 11 wrestlers(a big update from the first Smackdown!).The season mode is sweet because you unlock all the wrestlers you want and new people too.I may be alone on this but i think it deserves a ten.

So far this has been one of the best wrestling games ever. The moves are easy I already mastered the characters within a week. The create a wrestler is even better than it was on Warzone. The matches are awesome. The few problems with this game are, (1)No 3D's through a table your table match options are limited, and no tag team tlc. (2) Season mode can be described in 1 word BORING. (3)And when are they going to learn that there is such a thing as and 8 man tag match, come on people quit spending your energy on Patterson and Brisco and make the 8 and 6 man tag matches. (4) the worst thing about this game is the loading it takes way to long, buy the time it loads you forget who is in the match. / With all that said you would think that this game would get a lower rating but the Hardyz and Lita make up for that crap.

People, after buying this game the day it came out, I can definitely say that I am pleased with it. But there are flaws to the game.
1. There is no color commintary from JR and Jerry Lawler.
2. The Big Show is not on there.
3. When put on difficult, it is still to easy.
4. You can't 3D through the tables.
5. You can't double team through tables.
Some good things are:
1. The gameplay is awesome. One button moves, is all we need.
2. Create a wrestler is exactly what this game needed! Thanks to the makers on that one!
3. Season mode is terrific, but the screens like this person is here, or someone got there butt cut there, they need to go. But when Austin blew up the DX Express, that was awesome!
I believe that if your a real wrestling fan, that this is the ultimate game until Smackdown! 3 comes out for PS2!

I have many other games for my Playstation but this is my ultimate favorite which I normally play. The rest are crap or too boring for my liking. I think that the game is very long to load, however I think its worth all of the effects and great characters such as Trish Stratus, Lita, Jaquiline, APA, Stephanie McMahn, Shawn Michaels, The Big Posse, Albert, Test and so on. Alot of backstage areas which are pretty awesome which I prefer to fight using Anywhere Falls just to tour around the place! You can creat a Superstar; if you make a female it will only allow you to enter her in the Womens Catigory and Tag Team. Men also follow under different categories depending on if they're light or heavy weights. Other than that, its awesome!
NOTE:// Chyna can follow under mens categories. Not sure why but she does!!

Smackdown 2 is made by THQ. I thought that Smackdown couldn`t get any better but along came Smackdown 2. The create a charactor mode was the only thing that let smackdown down but on smackdown 2 it`s improved greatly now u can alter everything from head to toe.The Matches are great too, especially Hell in a Cell. You can put people like Kurt Angle or Chris Benoit through the top of the cage.It is the most realistic wrestling game to date but the only thing that lets this game down is length of loading time in Royal Rumble. This isn`t such a bad factor as when you look at the rest of the game you think how can you make a game any better? And to be perfectly honest with u I don`t think that we will never e e e e ever get a game as good as this again on the psx If you smell what THQ are cookin!

The game is really better, the "creat a superstar" function is now better than ever, and now it's possible to make a "really custom face", and many other things. And now it's possible to create a taunt too (It should be able to creat a special too...). One thing that is really really bad, is the season. There aren't any more "Pre-seasons", and you'll not feel like you are making a career like in the first game (Try to create a superstar... and then you'll notice that the only thing that you can or "must" do are exhibitions!). I only made de Season Mode because of the additonal players and moves, if you want to feel the role of WWF, you better play the Seasons of the first Smackdown. But the game isn't so bad, new players and new kind of fights are there! And the graphics are better.

I think WWF Smackdown!2 has gotta be the best computer game on the market up to now! this is because if your a wrestling freak, or just find a real thrill of beating the hell out your mate you'll treat this game like the bible (if you were a priest!) but one of many best features are the hell in a cell matches, tables, ladders and one of the best - announcer tables that you can piledrive your best buddy through without him getting a bruse! Also, there are countless wrestlers! So if you're up for late nights and a lot of addiction plus a lot of caffine - well this will make your day! It's made my life! (not to be sad!). This is a must for all PSone owners! so work as hard as possible and save every last penny until you own this treasure! Thanks to THQ!

This game is cool but there is about 7 things I would change:
1. Be able to create more than 10 guys at a time I had to buy another memory card.
2. Make the loading way faster cuz it totally ruins the Royal Rumble matches.
3. While in season mode GET RIDE OF THOSE ANNOYING CUTS.
4. Make some of the moves move realistic like the Mexican Surfboard is almost impossible to do in real life.
5. Make the game have DQ'S other wise it's to easy.
6. There is enough create-a-... modes so why not add one more create-a-finisher move.
7. Add a few more matches like Infreno, buried alive, 2 out of 3 falls and a door match which is like a table match only instead of putting your opponent through a table you put them threw a door bolted shut.

Smackdown 2 is one of the funnest games I've ever played. It offers a wide variety of superstars, match types, and "create a character" options. Although, the game does have some problems. Since just about every screen is animated with moving backgrounds and music, loading time is at a high. Going from one screen to the next takes at least roughly 2 minutes. After the long load displaying a certain superstar i over, there is lots of othr types of loading. It becomes quite frusturating over time. Also, weapon damage is vey unrealistic. Getting hit over the head with a bat only makes your character stagger for a second. Set aside the problems, and you'll be having an awesome playing experience, especially with a few friends

I just went and got this game. I already have the first one and it dosen't compare to this one.I mean a TLC match and not to mention the, ladder,table,hell in the cell, cage, slobberknocker, special ref.,hardcore,and pin anywhere matches are great.And over twice the same number of backstage areas than the first.AND YOU CAN DRIVE A FORKLIFT!! And the double team moves are the best I've seen in a lot of the games I've ever played!And the create a wrestler mode is even better. It combines attitude and smackdown 1 options and the create a TAUNT! And a creat a stable is crazy. If there is a wrestling game for the year 2000 this is it.So if you are looking for the best I mean THE BEST wrestling game of this year go get it!

What kind of crap is this? It's the worse wrestling game I ever saw in my life. When you are creating a superstar,and you choose standard to go to a original superstar's appearance,you can't at least change the color or add more clothing to the appearance and those stupid loading screens makes me crazy. Too bad it dosen't have WWE Superstars and the new WWE Smackdown! Arena. There are many WWE Superstars that is not in this game like 1.Brock Lesnar2.Billy Kidman3.Hulk Hogan4.Mr.America5.Zach Gowen6.Lance Storm7.Torrie Wilson8.Big Show9.Chavo Guerrero10.Shannon Moore11.Rey Mesterio12.Ultimo Dragon13.Tijiri and more. Smackdown 2 is totally what every WWF fan needs! It has everything that made the first Smackdown good, but so much more. There are a lot more characters and a lot more special types of matches (although it takes a while to get used to them - someone got so bored of not knowing how to throw someone else in a casket that they accidently jumped in an shut the lid on themselves!). Also the custom character creation is so much better than the first Smackdown (could it actually be any worse?) and it's debatable if it's better than the first on attitude. Also the season modes actually follow storylines that have happened in the real WWF show. All put together, this is a great game, you getta get yourself one of these!

OK. If you haven't already got this game what the hell are you playing at?!?!! This game is a great improvement on Smackdown1, which still used the WWF Attitude engine. The graphics are a lot smoother, the moves are both more plentyfull and easier to perform and, with the Season mode, you can just keep on playing and playing and playing! Now the bad points.... load times are a bit long and frequent, and its quite iritating that you can only go for one belt at a time. And why, for the love of dog, why can't you turn off the cut scenes on Season mode!!??! To sum up, this is a fantastic game, with a few flaws, but these are far outweighed by the fact that you won't find a more playable westling game on the PSone.

Yes this is the best wrestling game I have seen on the PSX but the controls are way too sloppy to be that much fun. The graphics are slightly better over last year and the added play modes are a definite plus. But when you consider that the characters don't really react to the falls that they take(ex.Falling through the hell in a cell and getting up 5 seconds later etc...)and that again the controls and animations are way to fast. You have a game that plays really sloppy with outstanding play modes.
I say if you have an Nintendo 64 just go with wwf no mercy.
It has most of the matches that Smackdown 2 has with way better control.
P.S. The intros for the wrestlers still stink. Same as last year. :(

The game is pretty cool and the superstars look like real. This game has better graphics than any other PS wrestling game. The Hell in a Cell match and TLC are the best. The game is awesome, but the season mode kind of sucks. The first year is way cool. And then the season mode SUCKS. And they should've put some blood in the game. Its like when you hit your opponent with a chair right in the head he doesn't care, or when you powerslam the opponent from the roof of the Hell in a Cell onto the mat he still doesn't care. The create a superstar mode is OK I created Brock Lesnar,Big Show, Rey Mysterio, Billy Kidman and much more.
But still the game is way AWESOME.

Hey there true believers and newcomers alike. Let'start with the graphics shall we.
Good: Alot smoother than Smackdown 1 with some better shading. Alot bettter cut scenes and after match antics. Faces that actually look like there namesake.
Bad: Still some herky jerky motions when a supetstar is attacked backstage after winning a match. Some of the superstars sill look a little blocky. Music: In general good till the first hour of play is over then it's just annoying. I recommend turning music off and playing your favorite CD. Gameplay Good: It's awesome! With an enormous arsenal that even has moves that are from some of your fave superstars that aren'there for the game. Create a player heaven!

I've never been a wrestling fan and I'm sure I never will be, but my best friend is and he picked up this game last summer. From the moment we started playing it I've been hooked. Having tried other wrestling games in the past (thanks to my friend) I've found them to be quite boring, but Smackdown 2 is totally different, and it's all thanks to the "Create A Wrestler" option. My friend and I have created a vast assortment of characters, from Jesus Christ and the Devil to completely original characters and I have to say that I've never been so entertained by a game since Crazy Taxi. Heck, even my girl friend digs the game! Now, if only I could play with multiple characters in my season...

This game is heaps hell. The entrance movies are great, the modes and seasons are good to have and you can play any player modes too. There could be better graphics, with the crowd it doesn't look real but other than that it is a great game to play and also to beat your little brothers at. I use Shane Mcmahon because he is so "hot" and a great athlete. In the stables i put stone cold and triple h together with steve austins entrance movie doing ballet. That is another good example in this game with making your own stables, another stable i did was putting shane in the hardy boys stable.
Overall this game is a great game and i give it a 9/10 for it's efforts put into this game.

This is the best wrestling game i have ever played. Who ever said WrestleMania 2000 was better than Smackdown they were wrong. And if they say it now there very very very wrong. The season is brilliant and the tables and caskets and ladders are brill too. The graphics although nearly exactly the same as Smackdown 1 don't confuse you in any of the new modes which I thought would happen. The game doesnt go off the original slugging wrestling type of game which is good but bad. It is bad because sometimes the outlandish things they add in are so much fun. But you can only do a certain amount in a game which makes this a definate 10 out of 10. Get out and buy it FAST!!!!!!!!!!!
