The best game for Playstation! |

This game is no doubt the best game on Playstation. The graphics in Smackdown 2 are oustanding! There are many famous superstars to pick from, or you can make your own character! Even though it might not have some superstar's current music, Smackdown 2 has great entrances and entrance music. The high-flying ladder matches are great, and the hardcore matches are brutal! You'll play Smackdown 2 for hours and won't realize it! Smackdown 2 definently deserves a great review. This game was way better than Smackdown 1, and is the greatest game to play on Playstation. You'll have plenty of fun playing and competing against other wrestlers.

To start off this is the best wrestling game on the PLAYSTATION (get PS2 and smackdown 3)but it could of been better. The biggest problem with the game was the loading times, it took forever to get from scene to scene and by the time it did youre interest in the match was fading, also it sucks just waiting so long for the next person to enter the royal rumble. There were lots of modes to chose from which was nice but for next time some good ideas would be first blood, last man standing, lions den, etc. They could keep the matches the same and it would be great but it would get boring after a while. The gameplay was well done except for a few small problems. these were such things as when you hit people with a weapon it was so unrealistic, they would still be standing. The season mode was good except for the ranking system. I didn't like how you could only compete in one division at a time, it was kinda unfair, but then it beats smackdown 3's season. The create-a-wrestler was great. It had lots of clothes and body parts to chose from as well as lots of detail that you could do. There were lots of moves to chose from which was nice but it would be nice to have a create-a-move option put in on future games. The fun factor was really good whether you are with friends or alone. Once again the loading times hampered the fun a bit, but you learn to live with it. The sound is alright for what there is. There are no commentators which can be viewed as bad or good, But that damn background music gets so repetitive and anoying. The entrance music was well done though. The graphics was one of the better parts of the game. They were smooth, and the wrestlers had good detail on them. Overall this game is worth buying because it is a great fun game. It has its problems but the good outdoes the bad. Any wrestling fans should enjoy this alone or with friends.

Hey there true believers and newcomers alike. Let'start with the graphics shall we.
Good: Alot smoother than Smackdown 1 with some better shading. Alot bettter cut scenes and after match antics. Faces that actually look like there namesake.
Bad: Still some herky jerky motions when a supetstar is attacked backstage after winning a match. Some of the superstars sill look a little blocky. Music: In general good till the first hour of play is over then it's just annoying. I recommend turning music off and playing your favorite CD. Gameplay Good: It's awesome! With an enormous arsenal that even has moves that are from some of your fave superstars that aren'there for the game. Create a player heaven!

WWF smackdown 2 was the first high-tech wrestling game I've seen. Sure, Warzone was fun, and attitude was great but isn't it time to tech up a bit? Starting with the good parts of the game, the exhibition modes. From TLC to Table, from tag, to hardcore this game has it all! You can have hours of fun just coming up with your own story lines, playing matches, winning belts. Next onto graphics, the playstations 2-D world is getting far behind with the addition of Playstation 2 and X-box, sure it's fun but it's not interactive! The gameplay can get very boring after a while, when you have played all the matches. This game's season mode is the first of it's kind. The cutscenes in the game are amazing and somehow after attacking the peoples' champ, going to the APA, and becoming the Undisputed Champion, it's just not enough! The create modes are tons of fun especially CAW and CAS modes! There are hundreds of moves to choose from and shaping, your new juggernaut into the next champ can take a lot of work. But all in all the exhibition is still the funnest, my favorite match is definetly TLC (As if you didn't know, table, ladder,chair.) Rating this game is hard but it has it's ups and downs. It's one of those games that is fun when you get it and boring after a week.

This is the best game ever the grapics are amazing the story line is great and the music videos good sound great picture not like wwf no mercy for n64 or smackdown 1 and the matches are fantastic tlc,hell in the cell,cage,casket and more and the unknown guys u unlock are secret character moves such as ric falre,scoot hall,goldberg,and the hidden character such as shawn micheal,stone cold and others and the way to make a charater is fantastic it even go down to the smallest ditail such as the eyes anyone who doesnt like this game or dosent buy it has to be crazy i sware no i promise u will never get sick of this game aso go out and get a copy u dont know what your missing.

OK. If you haven't already got this game what the hell are you playing at?!?!! This game is a great improvement on Smackdown1, which still used the WWF Attitude engine. The graphics are a lot smoother, the moves are both more plentyfull and easier to perform and, with the Season mode, you can just keep on playing and playing and playing! Now the bad points.... load times are a bit long and frequent, and its quite iritating that you can only go for one belt at a time. And why, for the love of dog, why can't you turn off the cut scenes on Season mode!!??! To sum up, this is a fantastic game, with a few flaws, but these are far outweighed by the fact that you won't find a more playable westling game on the PSone.

I think that Smackdown 2 is a kinda good game if you play it on exhibition mode. The CAW Mode is simply fantastic and i came up with the CAW of my whole Family :P
Well, now let me get onto the point. I think that The season mode absolutely sucks in the later part of the Game. You have to simply wait for PPVS after PPVS just to get a title shot and then thatll be the only championship match for the PPV. Then, everything is so absurd that the title is defended once in a blue moon. When you use the Create a Season Mode, the only arena u can play in is the Smackdown Arena. And, you dont get to view the rankings in there, you have to go all to the main screen whcih takes years to load. At a time nly 4 wrestlers can be on screen, it wud be better if it were 6. Well, as far as the graphics goes, Hats of to Smackdown 2. The Entrance Videos and Music are Great and the finishers and moves are superb.
If you're a Wrestling Fan , go for it Else i Have two words For Ya... 'SUCK IT'

The graphics are the best, and the matches and season, the best. I don't know how they made such a great game. The wrestlers look so real, especially Trish Stratus. The moves, the entrances, the CAW option. Everthing is the best. How did they get such a big amount of stuff, into such a small package. I would recommend this game to eveyone, even people who don't like wrestling. It's defineitely worth buying. I spend hours making playing the game with my friends, and creating wrestlers, taunts, stables, and managers. I can even add myself to my favorite stable, or create a dream stable. My favorite wrestler can be my manager. That's why Trish is my manager. The Create a PPV thing is awesome. I can make my favorite matches happen before my eyes. Like the Hell in a Cell match between The Undertaker and Mick Foley. I don't even have to play, I can let the computers do it. You can also gradually grow with the game. You can make it easy, medium, or hard. Even the medium is challenging. WWF SmackDown 2 is my favorite game, and I never stop playing it. I have like 30 other games, and I never play them. This game is really addicting, and well just buy WWf SmackDown 2. You won't regret it, I promise. You can also unlock movesets from season, and create wrestlers that aren't even on the game, like the Big Show, Scott Steiner, Ric Flair, and many more.

This game is sick! It's so cool how you can get the entrance music and videos. I've got WCW/NWO Revenge on N64 and smackdown 2 kicks its ass! not because of the graphics. No playstation game has better graphics than any N64 game. But the reason this game is better is the actual gameplay. Its really easy to use and is awesome how u can rock bottom wrestlers through the announce tables etc. There are a couple of reasons i gave it 9 and not 10. One is the amount of loading time. That is the most annoying thing about all psone games a long with the graphics compared to the 64. But the loading time is way to long in SD2 and i think u should be able to turn off the storyline scenes or at least they should have less. The other annoying thing about this game is that you cant do a 3D through a table and also u cant have a tag-team TLC match. Since when do they have single TLC matches? All in all its a fantastic game and the graphics are surprisingly alright compared to other playstation games. Plz email ur thoughts of my review.

the reason I gave it an 8 is because there are some really sucky stuff on it! like u cant hang out on ringside where RVD or Jeff Hardy or a created Wrestler can jump on the rope and tackle him or her or whatever another thing is in story mode it sucks big time im only on year 3 and theres nothing else 2 really do.

I've never been a wrestling fan and I'm sure I never will be, but my best friend is and he picked up this game last summer. From the moment we started playing it I've been hooked. Having tried other wrestling games in the past (thanks to my friend) I've found them to be quite boring, but Smackdown 2 is totally different, and it's all thanks to the "Create A Wrestler" option. My friend and I have created a vast assortment of characters, from Jesus Christ and the Devil to completely original characters and I have to say that I've never been so entertained by a game since Crazy Taxi. Heck, even my girl friend digs the game! Now, if only I could play with multiple characters in my season...

This game at first, was absolutely excellent! I loved it! It was my number one pick of the year! But after a while, it became so boring, I lost the disc I became that careless about it! This is by far the best PS1 wrestling game, but it could be much better. The hell in a cell is as plain as $#< remove me > at !! The layout is wrong, the cell does not inflict any extra damage, when you put the opponent through, it looks cheap, you can't walk through where the opponent went through! You can't do koves off the top, you can't walk off the top! When you fall, they just land there without even flinching! The TLC is very borinhg, you cannot do finishers off the ladders, no finishers on chairs, you can't do any weapon grapple. The only way you can put an opponent through is ddt, rock bottom with the rock only, and aerial. The graphics are very poor, they were good at the time! The table matches last up to about seven seconds! You always get the same matches in season, it takes ages to load, just to say some superstar is here tonight! The stroyline is too lame to explain! There is no smackdown or raw, you can't climb the titantron. The hardcore arenas are cool, but thats it! I gave it a six because the game is pretty damn fun at first, but goes down in value after a lonmg boring gameplay! The create mode seriously needs updating, the lifespan of the game is poor, mine broke very quick and the gameplay is more boring the more you play, there is about 5 superstars to unlcok,the sound is crap, there is no commentary, the finishers are too easially done if you ask me!

ive never really cared for playstation games very much but smackdown 2 is the best game ive ever played the graphics may not be as good as that as wwe shut your mouth but for its timeline the graphic were great and how the programmers got the actual startings up is beyond me but ever since i bought it ive completed it at least 3 times with unlocked wrestlers and locked wrestlers, all in all its a good game but not as good as the more recent games on ps2

Its all good every thing about it!! just one set back tho.It has loading frome hell but its werth it all.I highley recomend it to all gamers. its also got some of youre favoret WWF characters like Stone Cold Steve Astin,The Rock,Kane,The Undertaker,Triple H,Vince and Shane MicMan,Mankind,Micfoley,etc.But i dont have eney of the new guys in WWE But thats ok.Graphicks kick ass and creat a character rocks.Take it frome me im a personal game rater.SO GIVE ME A HELL YEA!!!!

First things first the graphics are poor i mean does the rock really look like an elephant i think not and does austin really look like a horses rear again i think not.Especially in season mode when you do it with a created character it takes roughly a game year before you even get a match but if that wasn't enough it includes all the rubbish scenes in between and quite frankly there is no need for it. If you want a smackdown game get smackdown:shut your mouth.

When I play SM!2 for the first time, I really enjoyed the fantastic response of the machine, all the defects of SM! disappear. A 1 word description of the game: pathetic!
Smackdown 2 may have been superior to its predessesors but still fails to meet the standard of a reasonably good game.
Firstly, the graphics have barely changed since the first Smackdown game, so the environments and characters both look flat, unrealistic and boring. Though THQ stressed that it had a huge backstage arenas, they all look so boring, washed up and terrible that the game suffers awfully. Even the crown is flat, which just lessens the realism and so the score of the game.
Secondly, and most importantly, was the season mode. The object of the season mode is to win all characters and body parst in order to create charcters of you own. Sadly, it takes 6 years to fully complete the game, and you will only win a few game modes and about 10 characters. Now it takes about 10 minutes to complete each show and you have 4 per month and 1 PPV. So that is 5 matches per month, times 10 minutes times 12 months times 6 years, which equals 3600 minutes of boredom and anger. The season mode consists of dreary storylines where someone will attack another for no reason. You will probably be in one of these storylines and will have to fight a useless and boring match. This will happen a lot. You will most likely only continue to play only for the body parts, which you will be able to win every few months. Sadly, you can win the same person repeatedly, so you will end up turning the air blue with the amount of swearing that comes from your mouth when you win someone for the sixth time. The season mode is that boring.
Though the Create-A-Superstar mode was much better than its original, it still barely reached standatds. It is difficult to create people because of the poor designs. The battle system was also very linear and allowed for few moves to be performed.
Another probelm was the sound. Though the game had the banging of a person on the mat and the clanging of a chair on someone, the music was absolutely terrible. With only two tracks that consist of repetetive heavy metal, I got sick of the music and turned it off at the options menu (which, by the way, allowed for few changes to your game) and so had to listen to the unrealistic cheers of the crowd.
On the bright side, there are man more charcters than in Smackdown 1 and there are several more matches. But many of these matches are quite easy to win and are not even close to the fun it is to watch real matches. There extra charcters are, sadly, not anyone that you would want to play. Gerald Brisco, Pat Patterson, Mick Foley, Joey Abs, Rodney and several others are the boring wrestlers that all have the same moves and are incredible dozy to fight.
Overall, WWF Smackdown 2 is a repetetive, dissapionting game that is so boring, it causes you to glance at any random thing that is more fun than the game. It was a terrible disapointment an though there were small amounts of fun, it did not have the power to drag me in to playing it for more than a month. I predict that most will be bored of it very quickly too. This game is definately not worth the $65. If this is the best that a games developer can muster for a wrestling game, I shudder to think what the worst wrestling game is.
