The Vampire Hunter D movie was absolutely amzing. Miere Link was awsome with his cape wings and claw hand thing and thats a big reason I got the game. And that woman who portected Miere(who sadly isnt in the game) was awsome. After the movie it reminded me of an article for the game. So I searched and finally found it. I started playing and got alittle down when it started at the end of the movie but found it surprisingly fun. But the controls were rather difficult to get the handle of. and the lack of intresting spells bothered me a bit(I mean a rainbow beam thing come on!) But I liked it because of the movie. After I got the handle of the controls I enjoyed the game A LOT more. Then I get to the part were Im having to unlock the security system in the towers and there is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much backtracking. I find myself running all through the castle and after hours I find that I havent gotten anywhere and just walked in the circle. But I finally got it and my only other greivence is the same monsters over and over. But This is a great game and the movie is Awsome. so if you like the movie get the game and vice versa.

The movie comes to controller |

....I must say that when i discover that Vampire Hunter D was out on playstation i was breathless. It took me back to the incredible movie. There i stood at the K-mart showcase staring in silent joy at a game i was sure to be incredibly involving.
I however found too many things to dislike, first off were the controls, remember how the controler were in resident evil 2? Yeah well try those same controls on a game like mega man legends, only the cam angles dont change unless you enter another part of the screen. The abilities D can use are not worth mentioning, the monster variety..... nil. the same monsters ober and over again it seems. Sure you have much to explore in the game but after about 9 hours or so of running to and fro in the castle... your days of Nintindo thumb return.
THis game however does have its positive points. The anime scenes at the intro will keep you watching it over and over again. The graphics are decent its glitchless so you will enjoy watching some of battles you take on. Also the character voices... Straight from the movie! Added with a few new characters you find your self partly involved. The story is exactly what the game title says.. vampire hunter, only there are a few unexpected twists so for those who are hardcore D fans dont go without this title. And the same goes for those who just want to show this guy off.
