When I first bought Driver I loved it. I couldn't wait till the sequel came out, and when it did, I loved that one even more! Driver 2 allows you to pick your car, and also has a new mulitplayer section. You even get to go international. Havana, and Rio! Driver 2 also allows you to get out of your car and steal another car. Kinda like what Grand Theft Auto did. But no weapons =( Driver 2 has better graphics then the first one. This game is a must for all Driver fans. I would reccommend this game to anyone. Play it, and there you'll have fun! Driver 2 is a great game!

yes! there finally making a sequel to my favorite game driver! tha's what i was thinking when i found out about it. i new about geting out of your car and taking someone elses, and the multi player modei thougt it was going to bow driver 1 away. i also thougt that the cops migh try to pull you over once and a while, instead of slaming you into a wall for speeding throug a red light.
and then i got the game, where to start, the cops are alot tougher and will wreck your car for breathing croked, the graphics are even worse in multi player mode you can't get out of your car,you're confined to only sections of a level,and you're in "inside car" veiw only. that's only the first of it every now and then you will fal thruogh the road, it will freez up,you will drownd for no aparent reason,or the game will go into automatic slow-motion mode. and now for the main screw ups in the making of this game,
-drowning in ankle-deep water
-annoying car engines(they sound like vacume cleaners)
-cars trying to shove you off the road because they need to change lanes
-cars honking repeatedly and anoyingly at you, even when you stop at a red ligt(if you ram into them you get caught,run a red you get caugt, it drives me insane.
well that was the bad part (if i missed anything please contact me) for the good part, you can get out of your car, and ther is a multi player mode( even if it sucks,)there are more reasons not to buy this game than there are good reasons to, just take a test drive(rent it) before buying it to see if you like it. --thanks for your time.

this game needs to let you get guns and shoot people, like the upcoming Grand Theft Auto 3, on PS2. The graphics are good. They need more cars for you to choose from. And the citys need to have some bumper-to-bumper traffic. I've never been to Chicago before, but I know that in the middle of the night there are a lot of cars on the road.

I DIDN'T THINK THIS WAS GOING TO BE A VERY GOOD GAME BUT WHEN I RENTED IT FROM BLOCKBUSTER I SAW THAT IT WAS BRILL. THE BEST BIT ABOUT THE GAME IS THAT YOU CAN RAM ANY CAR YOU WAN'T(UNLESS THERE ARE POLICE THERE IN WHICH CASE YOU'LL GET CHASED)BUT I CAN'T WORK OUT HOW TO GET TO LAS VEGAS OR RIO. CAN SOME ONE HELP ME?

A game with proper graphics, stable roads, smooth gameplay, killing people, a proper selection of cars: this is what i expected, they let us down. Why make a driver 3, when Driver 1 was the best.

i like this game because is very cool the system of playing a mission in a car but what a i dont realy like at all its the disgusting grephics, another thing i dont like its that they have only a few cars. BUT there a lot of things good in this game like you can burn out tires, 360 turns, steeling cars, secret car that you have to unlock, or secret areas (that you have to unlock), another thing that i like is that you dont have only one system of playing this games in a mission mode, there are a lot an very originals because i have never seen it before in my whole life, the sound of this game is not surprising but is not disgusting it is normal. oh another thing that i dont like is that you cant run over people .in a conclusion its a good, orginal game but with disgusting graphics its all i can say. buy it ignoring there praphics

I purchased driver 1 the day it came out on psx, i went home and played it and i was so glad that this type of game had been made, you could drive any where you liked fast, slow, crazy what ever, but i still think that the graphics are very poor for driver on the psx. Then about 4 weeks ago i finaly got round to buying Driver 2, and it was such an improvement. I think the graphics are 10 times better, game play has improved 10 fold fmv's every thing. I was a little put off about buying Driver 2 because Driver 1 was poor graphics and i wanted to wait for it to come out on pc, but i finally couldnt wait any longer and got it. And im so glad i did everthing is better to the sound track to the stupid hub caps that come flying off! also Driver 2 has a splash of gta in and that makes it brillent. i give this game 10/10 just because of its improvement!

When I had Driver 1 I loved it so much because it was the perfect plot. A getaway driver. It was just like a movie. When I heard Driver 2 was coming out and it would have more levels, 2 players, and new cities I wanted it so badly. I got it the day it came out, I played it and I looked at the graphics and yelled to my mom "are you sure this is driver 2. She said yes. Then when I played the actual part of the game I thought the storyline was so great. And I figured out that you could get out of your car and steal someone else's. But it kept on freezing up when I started it. You couldn't see a building until you were a couple of feet away and the cops jumped out of nowhere. So the conclusion is that if the people had taken more time on the graphics it would be better. I know they did it though to get it on the shelves for Christmas but to tell you the truth it's not as good as Driver 1.

Right....Driver 2, a good game, good storyline, good car, fatal flaws.
Driver 2 has improved on the whole to the original Driver game but also has let its fans down by the new setup. The original Driver was a good driving game(except you couldnt change cars) and was excellent with the idea that you could chose how the game went by picking the mission by the answerphone message.
That is where i believe Driver 2 is a letdown, even though the storyline is better,the videos are better,and the game is better.
The changing car thing makes the game alot more playable as well. Even though the game takes up 2 discs on the ps1 it is still to short. I completed the game in under 3 hours on hard.
Does anyone know about Driver 3 as GTA 3d looks to be similar to the plans??

Driver one was a very cool game, so when i saw a demo for Driver 2 I was ecstatic (You can steal cars, COOL!). Then when I Played it I saw a lot of flaws. First, If you are going to make a game two player at all, you should at least make it decent. Yeah, you can play some decent modes but there are absolutely no options at all. No other cars, No alternate views, nothing that will make it very interesting. As for the game itself, it freezes quite often, the graphics are terrible (Except for the Video Clips, Which ROCK by the way), the cities themselves have quite a few glitches in them, like falling through the road and into oblivion, buildings that appear out of nowhere ect. However, the bridges (Way Cool), secret areas, alleys and all the stuff that you can run over are VERY COOL.
I LOVE the car stealing idea. (It's things like that that make a game cool, entreas in a manner of speaking.) Trust me the more you can do stuff like that, the better the game, and the more people who will buy it. you see if you make good games you will EASILY make good money. (make it a multiple disk set or something) Anyway, all in all this game rates a five in my book.

Driver 2 is a pretty fun game. I loved the original Driver and was thrilled when I heard 2 would let you steal other cars. But when I purchased the game, It was a disapointment at first. The graphics had not improved one bit during gameplay, but the scenes shown between missions seemed to revolutionize the Playstation graphic industry! So this sort of balanced out, but I still believe the developers should have paid a little more attention to the driving sessions themselves rather than the movie clips. All in all, not bad, but it could use quite a bit of work. Idea and concept is superb, but lazy PSX programmers should go into web design instead. I give it a 4. Below average disappointment. The highly anticapated Driver 2 in my opinion was a flop.
Were should I begin? Should I begin were...The game freeze's and stalls on you quite often? Or how about when your in a high speed chase and all of a sudden its like driving in slow motion?
We'll ok I have to admit, it wasn't all bad.
I did enjoy the fact of were you could get out of your vehicle, and steal another, and how good the missions are.
BUT the bad out wieghs the good...
For instance, the graphics are some of the worst graphics I have seen in a racing game, poor quality and coloring.
When driving at night, it looks like they just made it black and white and added a few colors...its terrible.
Or how about when you think your going on a full stright away and a building loads infront of your eyes 0.3 seconds before you hit it?
All in all this game is ridiculous, I bought it for 40.00 dollars like all of you guys, but it wasn't worth it.
To you guys who dont have it, if you aboslutely think you must have it, wait tell it becomes older and drops to $20.00 then thats about how much the game should have started out at.
I don't know if they ran out of time or money, but I was truly disappointed.

I liked the fact that you could get out of your car and steal others. I hated 2 player mode (can't change your view) but it was good that they had it. Graphics were ok but not the best. They game actually freezes on me sometimes. It is a fun game to play. It is one of my favorites to you hosers that don't think so.

I like the game but it has it's flaws. One, it stutters at many points especially when in high speed chases. Two, you can't get out of the car in 2 player mode and u can't drive all over the city in 2 player mode. Now, what's up with that. That really puts down the lasting appeal for me which i give a 3. The graphics i give a 6 not good too much studdering. Gameplay i give a 8. Well, I don't like this game all that much for those reasons.

I was totally impressed with Driver 2, I just got it for Christmas and once I turned it on I was in love with the graphics, the story line, the cars, EVERYTHING!! My whole family also enjoys the game and sometimes I have to bargain with my dad just so I can play!!
Anyways, on to the game, when I first played I noticed the improvements in the buildings, the way the cars react and many other things, unlike in Driver 1 when you honk at a car the car reacts by moving over or stoping instead of ramming into you like in the first game. Also, the stories in between the game are awesome and you get a better "feel" of the game unlike in Driver 1 where you could only see Tanner from a far. Another thing, the cities are a lot bigger and you can driver farther around the cities.
In all, I hope that there is a sequel to the whole Driver series and if there is I can't wait!!

Driver two is one of them good games that you don't want to play because you can't stand looking at it for long. The graphics are a big let down which destroy the promising gameplay. It is easy to complete but the mission are well thought out. The sound is not that good either as crashes sound like a school bell and the engines sound like a portable fan. Buildings appear right in front of you and the game has a big slow down factor. Don't get me wrong Driver 2 is a good game underneath but i'm sure all the let downs would leave Starsky and Hutch turning in their graves.

Driver 2. Good or bad? Brilliant. If has a lot of faults but you can't help but have fun. I liked the first one but this definitely beat it. When I first played Driver 2 I was shocked buy the pop up buildings and that the graphics hadn't changed. But it was fun. It was very fun. It runs at a resonable speed and after a while I stopped thinking about the graphics and pop up. I was just enjoying it.
The gameplay is quite like Driver. But like Driver it is very clever. The skids and spins all add to the excitement. Once you are used to the handling of the cars you'll know what I mean.
The best new addition is the two player mode. It just pips Tanner's ability too get out of his car. There is a huge slow down on the two player mode but it is still great fun. Everyone knows that there is nothing like a bit of fun competition on Playstation games. And Driver 2 provides just that. Personally I like take a ride two player. Nothing beats two crap drivers let loose in a huge city all alone!!!
Onto the freedem. Tanner can now escape from his car and jump into anyone elses. How cool is that. Even cop cars. This brings new life to the game. It's not something to do alot but it is one extra option to use at your convinience.
Undercover mode rocks. The cut scenes are amazingly real. Their lips move and everything. The story line is good and the missions not impposible as in Driver 1. And just incase you loose the plot the kind people have made it so everytime you load up your game you get a short video reminder.
Add all these great features to the curved roads, river jumps, secret cars and 4 cities and out pops a big fat 10!

This game is the best game I have played in a long time. I was also a Driver fan but when I heard that Driver2 was coming out I could not wait to get it. The game play and graphics are better than the original Driver. The game is not one of those impossible to beat types. I myself beat it in two days. I would recommend this game to any body that likes a thrilling on-the-edge-of-your-seat kind of game.

Driver 2 is a lot better than the first one because the graphics
music game play and story gets you in the mood to sit down and play for hours. The main reason its better is because you can get
out the car and steel other peoples cars. Its hard like the first one so i say a good age level would be starting from 13 to 18 and over.
