The best Spyro game yet! |

Spyro: Year of the Dragon has got to be my all time favorite game. There's absolutley no way Naughty Dog can top this, no matter how many Crash sequels they come out with. The storyline rocks. I don't care whoever else thinks otherwise, 'cause they must not be true blue (or should I say purple?) Spyro fans. The music is top-notch compared to any other PlayStation X games, and the graphics couldn't be any more seemless. And although I resent that they make Hunter look like a complete moron, I believe that the characters personalities are incredibly life-like. And I mean, who doesn't like skateboarding? The cute little love story is what keeps us all permanently hooked onto the game and asking, "I wonder if Hunter and Bianca are going to hit it off?" And we all kind of figure it out on the second -to-last movie when they make out under a sky blowing up with fireworks. And when this game ends, you want more Spyro. Beileve me, (I've completed this game to 120% about fifty times now) this game is worth the money. Boy, I will never get tired of that little dragon.

"Spyro: Year of the Dragon" is a great game with a good plot, funny characters, and terrific graphics. Some of my favorite aspects of this game were the underwater/swimming graphics, the little goodies you get after defeating Sparx levels, and getting to see Hunter again! This game has little short movie things to tell you what goes on when characters meet, such as when Spyro first meets Bianca. The game has no bad language, and the characters have complex, seemingly real personalities. The game's only fault, in my opinion, is that the characters hands/feet often seem to be half submerged in the ground when they walk, move, jump, or charge.
Another great part of the game is that you get to play not only Spryo, but other characters, even Sparx! The game has it's challenges and easy things, which make the game fun to play all day long.

I would recomend this game to anyone. This new Spyro game is better than all the rest of them. It's more challanging, better graphics and much more. There are also new characters like st. bird, shela the kangaroo, Agent 9 and many more. The villan is more villanis than ripto and gnasty nork. In this game u will make new friends and new enamies. If u are not that good at spyro games just go to the prima walk through guilds (they helped me a lot) I'm sure that they will help u in any mess that u get in lol. Hunter is still your friend in this game and will help u get the dragon eggs back from the evil villan that is taking them. Also don't be frightened of any of the bosses because its just a game and its not like your going to die or any thing like that (well spyro will but not u) lol. The characters that u interact with are mostly friendly if they aren't really that friendly in the first place they will be at the end of that certain level ummmmmmmm ya. In most levels u can burn certain things that will give u some stuff and ummmmmm ya. over all this is a good game and u should play it now! if u don't have it to keep then rent it so u know what it is like then u should buy it. it is only about $28 now so its cheap and go to superstore to get it because thats a really good (cheap) place to buy plastation 2 and 1 games so ummmmm ummm ummmm ummmm ummmm ya just play the game and if u need help on any of the levels then go to the prima walk though guilds.

Well, I have to say, Spyro 2 didn't really have me hooked, but one day I saw the cute cover of Spyro 3 and I was like, hmm, yeah let's get it. I have never regretted it, and since I got it, it hasn't come out of the machine. You can go as heaps of characters in this game, Spyro the cute purple dragon, Sparx, Spyro's best friend, Hunter, the 'pussy cat' who hates water, (In the speedway levels after you have beaten the other two things) Sheila the Aussie kangaroo, Sgt Byrd the little penguin with a huge attitude, Bentley who is so not a dimwitted furball and Agent 9 who is kinda cute! Just joking! :) Anyway this is da best game for beginners on Spyro, though experience does help!

Oh yeah, it's the best out of all the Spyros! I just got the game about 3 days ago and already I beet the boss! (I've rented and played it before) Shure I have trouble but it's fun. Curently in the game, I'm trying to get all the eggs and gems (gems are harder then eggs). graphics: Holly they are good! Especially the under water scenery, chrystal level, and you can't for get the intense battles. SOUND: In a way, it;s like saround sound to me. ^_^ Voices are good, expreive, especialy agent 9 he;s hyper. I recomend it to you! I especially like the new and old charaters. 1 of my favorite parts is after the battle with the queen you get to charge money bags and get all your money back. ALSO PLEASE CONTACT ME IF YOU HAVE ANY WAYS TO HELP ME PASS THE GAME! THNX!

I like spyro 3 out of all of the spyro games.It is very fun and challenging.I like the super bonus round best.That is because you get lots of gems in the level.Once my sister erased most of the memory by playing a game over it.So that's when I had to reach the 117% mark again.Like I said it is my favorite spyro game,even my most favorite game ever!!So I give it a ten.

This game rules, even if it is a bit hard, it's good when you get going. The scateboard park is wicked! I's also my favorite part of Spyro 3: Year of the dragon! It's probably Spy's best ever! Insominac must be thrilled! Every other game in the world is like an teeny, tiny, itty, bitty speck of dust compaired to this almighty leader. You get to play as different people. Those are Spyro the Dragon, Sheila the Kangaroo, Sgt Byrd the Penguin, Bently the Yeti and Agent 9 the Monkey. There's Hunter and Moneybags. Also, Bianca comes to the good side. The bosses you face are Buzz, Spike, Scorch and the Sorceress. I like it, but THE question is, will you?

Spyro year of the dragon is the best.You can headbash,swim and climb without paying moneybags.In ripto's rage you have to pay moneybags to get these abilites.But in this game you don't have to.You can Skateboard,supercharge and more.You can play as Sheila the Kangaroo,Sgt.Byrd,Bentley the Yeti and Agent 9.Even Sparx the Drangonfly shows his stuff.Get 150 eggs and 20000 gems to win the game.Take on 4 bosses and kick some rhynoc butt.Take on challenges to get eggs.Find secret areas in homeworlds and portals.Beat the Sorceress and get a egg.unleash a tank attack,pilot a flying saucer,ride a speedboat.step into a boxing ring,dive deep in a submarine or fire off rockets.You can also fly in brand new speedways.race and do hunter's challenge in a speedway and you will get eggs.This game is the best.All the baby dragons are so cute and they have cool names.I Bet this game is a big hit.you can get special abilites by beating Sparx's the dragonfly special tasks

Spyro year of the dragon is a smart, sharp and quick game which has some good, amusing characters(Moneybags in particular)and a generic but nevertheless good game plot. The gameplay is good, the graphics are okay, and you gotta admit this game kicks butt even if you play it not wanting to like it. This game is one of the best i have played the entire time i've had a playstation. i particularly like the touch with Bentley and Agent 9 and the others, it adds an interesting element 2 the game. i have only had this game for a few days and i already like it a lot more than the first two games in this series, of which the second i liked a hell of a lot. Maybe this is alittle bit blustering and im waffling but i gotta make two hundred words or this wont be posted but i loved the skateboard park in Enchanted Towers. The Gnasty Gnorc move lands u two thousand five hundred points!!!!! yipes!!!!!!

My 5 year old son and I have just finished Year of the Dragon after a couple of weeks of intense addiction. He can manage 1/2 to 2/3 of the game, handing over for bosses and the occasional other difficult bit.
Some of the races took a fair bit of practise before being able to beat them, but there's no one bit that was extremely difficult (which is good). My son loves the other characters like Agent 9, James Byrd and Bentley the Yeti. My favorite bits are the skateboarding and races.
Graphics are good and the whole game is smooth. I can barely think of even a minor bug I spotted and considering the huge number of hours of gameplay, that's pretty impressive.
The poorest parts of this game are the animated sequences at the beginning and end - but who care about them anyway?
You can pick this up and play for hours or minutes very easily. Loading levels is reasonably quick and you can whizz through that dialogue that you've heard a dozen times before. For example, aborting a race you know you can't win and restarting it takes a couple of seconds unlike many other games.
We've just ordered Spyro 2 and we are both eagerly awaiting it's arrival.

This is the best Spyro sequel yet! You can do much more in this game. Play as other characters (Sheila; Sgt. Byrd; Bently; Agent 9), skateboard, play as Sparx, etc. When I first got this I was very frustrated but made it to Midnight Mountain and defeated the Sorceress. (?) I put it up, then just a couple weeks ago I started it up again and won the entire game. (117%)
Buy it...You won't be sorry!

spyro year of the dragon is an EXTREMELY GOOD GAME! i have every spyro game that has been made and i am waiting for another one to come out soon.....the graphics on this game are so amazing and the ideas and little minigames in this game are briliant! they come up with the best ideas and the characters are so cool! when i first bought this i came home and put it in and it is do addicting...i love all the spyro games and think if you havnt played this game before you should get it! NOW! you wont regret it....i deffinatley give it 10 stars and would give all of the other spyros 10 stars also...whoever came up with these games and the ideas deserve to be extremely rich! i think that everyone should have this game for sure! so if you dont have this game run out and buy a copy of it...you will diffinatley feel the same way i do about this game and wont be able to get enough of it!

this game totally rocks anyone who is a fan of spyro who hasnt yet got this game then you should really get it!! you can show moneybags who's boss for sure!! The graphics aren't the best you can get on playstation but they are still good. It takes quite a while to complete because when you have got all the eggs and jewels from each of the worlds and have comleted it 100%, you then have to do the bonus world where u have to cary on completing it past 100%. There are lots of fun twists on this quirky game, its so much fun.
I still cant do the championship round of the demolition hovercraft area on Haunted Tomb in Midnight Mountain World!!! its so damn hard!!

I love this game!!! It is the best spyro game yet!! I love all the characters! I also love the music, graphics, new realms, and worlds! I got this game for my birthday. As soon as I startd playing this game I immedietly fell in love with this game. I also like the challeges it has. My favorite one was the second skateboard park. It was thrilling!! I also like the new moves!
Ice breath, in Evening Lake. I also love the baby dragons! They are so cute!!!! I would definatly reccomend this game to EVERYONE!!!!! This game is so cool! Oh yeah, My favorite world is Icy Peak I like the ice skating show. People everywhere! Buy this game! You don't know what you are missing!

I love all the Spyro games, but so far,I think this one is the best!This game is so fun I couldn't miss it if I tride to!I stay up all night on week ends just playing this game!Its got free 3D roming animations,skatebording,challenge portals,thirty-six different realms,and six sweet critters to play as!That's why I think it rocks!I've not met anyone who dosen't like it!Spyro is really mighty for somethins so little!I've beaten it and restarted it at least twenty-seven times!No matter what new games I get, Spyro:Year of the Dragon will always be one of my favorites!And I useually have my cusins come over and play it with me after church on sundays.They're Spyro fans too.It's amazing how mutch fun you can have by playing Spyro!On a scale from one to ten,I give Spyro:Year of the Dragon an eleven!once I rented Spyro with my friend,right a way we knew we'de love it!And now I have all three Spyro games!I've gotten a lot of my friends into liking Spyro video games too.And I've never played a better video game than Spyro:Year of the Dragon!I hope they make more Spyro games like Spyro:Year of the Dragon!

As a Spyro enthusiast, I really liked this game. The new characters are excellent-specially the big guy with the club-I love belting things with him!!!! I only have one complaint - unlike in Spyro 2 - when you go to the atlas, it does not highlight where you are at the time, nor does it have names above the swirling doors, which would make things a little easier. Having said that - play it - it's good fun!

Okay heres the deal, Y.O.T.D. is the best game from all the spyro games. In Y.O.T.D you can swim (unlike 1&2) and you can play as Sparks (Wow!) You can fly longer now useing the special power ups. The levels are funner , easy, but yet hard, & you actually have a different mission to do than just Rescuing big junky statues, now you rescue small junky eggs. That scorceress, oh she gets worse and worse. Unlike the 'Gnasty Gnorc' of 1 & 2. I'm on the last world now and seing Bianca turn good really amazed me! But now that The Sorceress wants to Clip the dragons wings, that just goes too far. She should go suck a lemon!oh, im talking about the other stuff, sorry now, Y/O.T.D. Is probably in the top 5, (Up there with SimthemePark and Sonic the hedgehog) My favorite part of the game is when the Ice Fairy gives you the power to breath ice, not fire(Cool)
