This game is somewhat good to an extent. The Veteran setting is pretty easy. I figured it would be hard. The legend is real good though. The things i dont like is that the pit stops are 22 seconds, and when you race on a track with high banking, the camera stays in the same spot and watches the car slide up the banking. I liked the other 3 NASCAR games where the camera followed the cars and turned upwards when the car entered a banked turn. The graphics are really good. I like the create a car part. I wish the instant replays were like 98 or 99 where you could control how fast or slow you wanted to view the replay. Everything else looks good, and i hope a better game comes out next year.

yo whats up... i just got nascar 20001 and it is the best playstation game i have ever played. The graphics are great and the real time effects are incredible. A few of the small effects thats add to make the game seem real are the skid marks that stay and when u hit the wall your paint is rbbed on the wall and also stays on. U can make your own car youisng the paintshop and you can even race some new imaginary tracks like New York and The South. And one of the coolest things is that u can race the legandary Richard Petty and race at Daytona!! You can have damage,engine faliar, feul run out, and blow tires but the coolest new thing is when u go in for a pit u can watch your pit crew change tires add feul repair damage and jack up the car. So in conlcusion Nascar 2001 is worth the money and best of all its on the regular old playstation so if u have playstaion 2 u can still play it have fun!

EA has made one heck of a game...this is the best NASCAR game on the market. There are a couple things that are missing...the pit stops take 22 seconds (let's get real). I wish they left the interactive pit stops from NASCAR 2000 in the 2001 version. Also, I would like to have more competion cars in the two player mode. Racing on Daytona is awesome. The configuration for all the tracks is great. Even with the few flaws, if you're a race fan...you'll love this one.
