Sweet game to play4109

Alex from Longview says (23/Oct/2001):
I thought this game was pretty sweet exept for the non multyplayer. Now if you are into james bond games, its a good one to go buy. The graphics were definately worth it. Im still in the process of playing it but so far i really like what im seeing. It's got a lot of cool gadgets to use. I think the way the game is played is better than the original 007 (golden eye). Golden eye was better in the sense that it had multyplayer but this game is by far the best. Golden eye also had more codes but I really dont care. The world is not enough has some pretty cool sounds too. I really like how you can interact with the characters and how they can interact with eachother. This is by far better than Tomorrow never dies which was a poorly made game. The sounds are pretty cool too. I think the company that made the game could have done a little job like making a two player mode cause i think its bull that nintendo 64 gets a multyplayer. Now if you dont own this game or haven't played it you really need to go buy it. It's really worth it trust me.it's got some pretty cool clips from the movie on it too.

Hard yet very addicting game!1738

Austin from Lake Havasu, Arizona, USA says (16/Jan/2001):
One major thing that I like about this 007 game is that it's like the N64 game. Where you are behind the gun. I also think that they way you reload the gun is also very cool cause its more like real life. They also did a pretty good job on the peoples faces. I wish they would have made their lips move and also made them have fingers more then mitten looking things. The movie scenes are also quite cool too. They really should have included multi player though. Changing weapons is sorta weird but after awhile you'll get used to it. All the secret little gadjets you get is another pretty cool thing. After each mission I was waiting to see what new gadjet I would get to use. One other thing I wish they would have done is like they did in 007 for N64 is when you killed the guys they each died a different way. When you have no weapon its cool now because you dont look like a niny swinging your hand, you actually punch now. I would rent this game first just to see if you like it then go buy it. But most likely you'll end up liking it.

Excellent game, but lacks multiplayer1028

Lopion from Victoria, Australia says (13/Dec/2000):
It is an excellent game and much better than Tomorrow Never Dies, but lacks multiplayer.
The graphics are excellent but are not like Goldeneye on N64.
I think the producers need to add more levels as ten is not enough and i finished the game in just over a week.
The sound is Excellent with various sounds and real like conversations between the characters.
It does lack multiplayer though, which for such a good game would put the icing on the cake if added.
i think the next producers of a sony 007 game should add a multiplayer game which was such a big hit with Goldeneye on N64.
As my friends have Goldeneye i also have noticed that The world is not enough only allows you to play Agent and 007 modes sepreatly where Goldeneye letss you play Agent, Secret Agent and 00 agent without have to start a whole new file starting from the first level.
Fun game, great sequel to tomorrow never dies but some things could be added for future games.

No Multiplayer Those Dummies!3696

Bond Killer from Houston, Texas USA says (8/Sep/2001):
Twine is a great game, but the reason I did not put 10 is because of the multiplayer. Now if they added multiplayer it could be one of the GREAT HITS. It makes me mad N64 gets multiplayer an PSX do not! When I do go on line for cheats for Twine, It says multiplayer is there. They says Whole game 007 Any time done, you get Golden Gun Multiplayer levels, but never there. Sometimes when they say you can unlock, they put Thames Chase 007 mode less the 4:25 get Exotic weapon mode, but never there it makes me sick of hearing about multiplayer on PSX get done with it in time and it is lost. Sometimes it say you have to get done on mode Secret Agent( not 007 or agent).Yes I did check to see are they talking about N64 but they are talking about PSX. Dummies, They do not know how to make a good game on PSX, like the boring Tomorrow Never Dies. THey are like saying N64 is better. Like The very cool Goldeneye. Those Some of a guns!

Put on multiplayer you fricken idiots!!12830

Matt from Melbourne, Victoria, Australia says (12/Dec/2002):
Although this game has a good single player mode, with decent graphics, it needs multiplayer! It's playability can sometimes be frustrating, and they should make it a bit smoother, like metal gear solid. Graphics are average, although facial features on enemys and civilians are quite complex. Sound can be quite annoying in some levels, as backround noises can be overpowereing. Lifespan is short, as it doesn't have many options and the only way you can compete with a mate is by comparing scores! Fun factor is small, as most of the levels are too hard for you to want to play again, and the easy levels get boring after a while. Originality is zilch, it is similar to golden eye on 64, but is no where near as good. Another downside to the game is the slow loading time! You could read J.R.R Tolkien's entire written works in the time it takes to load. An overall sappy game. Avoid.

I'ts not Goldeneye, but it's still lots of fun!!!660

MARK PAWLAK from CRANBERRY TWP. PA. USA says (22/Nov/2000):
TWINE is not as good as Goldeneye, but you still have a fun single-player game. The graphics aren't great and there are only 11 levels, but they still have quite a challenge. The missions are: Courier / King's Ransom / Cold Reception / Russian Roulette / Night Watch / Masquerade / Flashpoint / City Of Walkways / Turncoat / Fallen Angel / Meltdown. The lack of multi-player, however, damages it's replay value. I rented this game and beat it only using codes at the very end. It does have cheats you can earn like Goldeneye. I think the missions are cool. Although you don't get to ride a boat or go in a pipeline, you do get to ski and play Blackjack. The game also suffers from rather long load times. Even with these set-backs, I still think the game is alot better than TND and deserves a 10!
Thank you for your time, I hope this review helped you!!!

Really Quite Sad1680

Jim from UK says (13/Jan/2001):
I am quite new to the Playstation, having bought one for my daughter for Christmas, and I have to say that the games a really quite good (GT2 is superb 10/10). This James Bond game though is quite a disapointtment. On first playing the game I thought that it was resonably good, but the more that I play it, the worse it get`s. I am a PC gamer primarily, and this game just isn`t up to the standard`s of Quake, Duke Nukem or Tomb Raider where you have far more option`s available and far more taxing puzzles to solve. One thing that I was dissapointed with was the fact that there is only one way through each level, very boring, and getting killed at the end of a level and having to do it all again get`s very tedious indeed, but having said that the graphics and game speed have to score well. Not the best game ont the PSone, but Grand Turismo 2 makes up for it.

First Impressions Don't Last!843

Gav from Paris says (3/Dec/2000):
When I first played this game it looked good the graphics were smooth for playstation and the character actions were probably the best I've seen in this style of game on the PSX. It's gadgets and other novelty's made the game enjoyable. As time goes on the game starts to fall apart. The levels are far too short and easy to defeat they should've made a lot of the missions longer. The so called puzzles for you to solve are simple and it's no challenge. It misses out on some of the best parts of the film and replace's them with movie instead eg: The Boat scene.
Overall I feel this game has been lolli raped with movies and voice and not enough time has gone into gameplay and lastability.
Multiplayer would've been good but probably not do-able due to the hardware capabilities of the PSX.

The Game Is A Total Rip Off of N64's639

A gamer from Washington, MO United Sates says (20/Nov/2000):
this game copies off of N64's version. a prime example is on the last level. on N64 you have to hold your breath under water and come back for more breaths. in playstation you have to watch a radioactive meter and go back for a breath of air to get a replenishing health. the playstation gyps you because you can't play multi player and there isn't near as many guns in this version than the n64. I totally think that both companies should work together on this game and produce and ultimate one, creating a better game for the players and it would probably rack in more money. those are my thoughts upon the game. and i also believe that playstation needs to release a cheat and stradegy guide over the internet as N64 does. thankyou

The James Bond game the PSX has been waiting for610

Mark Hunter from Tadley England says (17/Nov/2000):
On first glance you may not think much of the first person shoter but once you get settled into the game you soon discover how enjoyable this game is. The game evolves around the movie with Bond having to complete various missions before the level can be completed. The game controls are easy to get the hang of so you'll soon be blasting baddies left right and centre. The graphics and the game play are much better than the very disapointing "Tommorow Never Dies". Over all this is a good attempt from EA with a good variety of levels and weponary. The only down fall of the game is that it doesen't allow 2-player multi-matches so you can't spend hours running about blasting your mates as you do on Goldeneye on the N64.

Where's the Challenge?1620

Kevin Knarr from Phoenix, AZ says (9/Jan/2001):
This game started off looking incredible! You need to think hard to accomplish the missions, the only problem is the missions aren't very long and there aren't enough. After the first mission I thought I would never beat the game, but I did beat it in a manner of 2 days. The graphics are good, but the game should be developed more. More guns, more levels, and definitely more PLAYERS! I hardly ever died in the missions do to low lifespan, it was always because the mission failed. The enemies aren't as brutle as Goldeneye and health is never an issue when playing. I'm more worried about the girls I have to protect dying than myself. It is for sure a Renter not a Buyer and it's no party game like Goldneye was.

this game is realy good but why no multyplayer29319

A gamer from toronto,canada says (6/Aug/2003):
I liked this game alot. the graphics are ok. Some levels i can play over and over again like midnight departure and fallen angel. the voices kinda sound like from the movie expescialy R ( john cleese).when he reloads and shhots the guns it sounds really kool.its kinda dum that for n64 it has multyplayer but for ps u have 2 win the multyplayer.i sugest that u buy this game, ud really be using ur mony wisely. Electras villa always took me a long time to beat.i like goldeneye for n64 better then the world is not enough because the cheats r way betta and theres way more kool stuff. i think the game is to short because the first day i got it i got to the level "a sinking feeling". Overall its a really good game!

Great game, but way too short!21654

E.J. says (18/Apr/2003):
The graphics are cool, the action is hot, and it gives both easy and difficult levels. There are various kinds of levels, including levels where you spend the whole time fighting non-stop, levels where you sneek around trying not to be found, and even a level where you can sit back, relax, play blackjack, and know you don't have to worry about getting shot in the head. At first, there is no multi-player, but if you are good enough, you will eventually unlock a variety of multi-player levels, one at a time. The only problem is that it is not long enough to keep you playing for a week. This is a Playstation classic!

Okay game for PSX but lacks multiplayer!7613

dave says (3/Jun/2002):
I bought the world is not enough thinking it would be like goldeneye for n64. But, the problem is, its not at all. The graphics are okay, even though all the people are the same. And I found the levels sort of easy but sometimes challening and fun to play. But, wheres the multiplayer? From what I've heard about Tomorrow Never dies, this is a much better game. Although it lacks good interactions with enemies and quality graphics. The only way to get multiplayer for The World is not Enough is to beat a level in a certain amount of time. Otherwise, you must play through the missions by yourself.

One hell of an improvement!760

James Hackett from Cardiff , Wales says (28/Nov/2000):
Much better than Tommorrow never dies.A multiplayer feature would have helped.the game is a lot more challenging than its predecesser and the Many Video sequences from the film were utterly Fantastic. Not ground breaking but still one hell of an improvement! The N64 version will or at least should be much better and The game could have been made longer by adding levels in which vehicles could have been involved like Perhaps a bit more proper sking on 'Cold Reception'or the ride down the pipeline or an Air fight on the Hot air balloon above the millenium Dome. But still a worthy game.

Its not as good as they say it is.4031

Not a ass wipe from Yo Momma says (14/Oct/2001):
Really this game is over rated if you know what i mean.I gave it a 4 because it does suck bad and theres NO MULTIPLAYER MODE so its really a peice of $#< remove me > at !.Plus the graphics are horrible but the loading speed does get anoying. It dosent even make you want to play again and you can only play as bond not as anyone else so that gets me pissed and theres no levels where theres cars like the other james bond games and it has horrible sound and it loads so long you will turn it off, burn it with a lighter, and forget about it becuase it sucks ass big time what a bitch of a game.

Could Be Better4031

Phil Buck from Taunton, Somerset says (15/Dec/2000):
After completing the first 5 levels i agree the game is much better than Tomorrow Never Dies. The FPV gives you the feeling that you are Bond and the designers didnt need to spend most of their time concentrating on making Bond look like Pierce Brosnan. The levels are fairly short and easy to complete although i could spend forever in the casino. One of the games major flaws is the inventory system, it is so slow its easier to go into the menu and select what you want. The inventory in Tomorrow Never Dies is much better (the only part of the game that was good).

What about Multiplayer613

Justin from Califronia, USA says (17/Nov/2000):
I think that the gameplay is great in this game. The last 007 game for Playstation was a total dud, but this one is great. It has movies in between each level so that if you saw the movie, you can relate the game as if you are in the storyline. Now I have played both Playstation and N64 versions, and the only drawback to the Playstation version is that it doesn't have a multiplayer mode. I am sure many people were dissapointed by this, but other than that, the graphics were great, and the game play is intense. I would say that this game is worth buying.
