It was great | | A gamer from Chicago, USA says (18/Apr/2003): | you are all losers this was a great game. They have tons of intresting characters so get a life.If you turn the level up to hard maybe it might be more challenging you stupid people. i found this to be a great game so get a life.Think of all the interesting characters you were able to get from bill clinton to his wife to rumble man to shaquille oniel to micheal jackson and more.
| Too long and too easy! | | Pat from Pittsburgh,USA says (12/Dec/2000): | After renting this game I thought it would be a blast. I popped it in and started it up. I never played the original so I didn't know what to expect. The intro is great! I start a championship mode and begin to train my boxer. Well, training takes FOREVER and is very boring. You can jump rope, use the sway or punching bag, lift wieghts, do aerobics (which I like to call bounce areobics), and many more. You can fight in a prize fight every so often, and 2 weeks after your prize fight, your title fight begins. As i fought through it, I noticed it became much too easy to beat up the other opponents. The only upside to this game was the quick gameplay, loads, and the intro. The graphics are ok. Michael Buffer's lips barely move, and listening to him EVERY match gets quite annoying. But all in all, if you liked the first one, try it. if you're just trying it out because you saw the commercial, you're wasting you're money. Go buy something else, just NOT THIS!
| The game just lacks the right quality of a great game, it needs a better soundtrack and to be harder. | | Andy La Rue from mt.vernon ohio says (9/Feb/2001): | I had never played the first game and did not know what to expect. A buddy of mine brought the game over and we started playing. My first impression of the game was that the graphics i thought were pretty crisp, the sound was ok, the controls were easy to work with, and no boxer had the same kind of punches. He let me borrow the game for the night and I found out a couple of things. Championship mode does get boring after awhile, I mean, you train your boxer then fight sounds good right? I didn't think that way it takes too long for a 1 round fight which is usually how they ended up. even on hard I found a way to knock the opponent out of the ring. After awhile the no music got to me. My thoughts were train for for so long to dominate so easily??
The next day my friend comes back and we play, this is the good thing the 2 player mode is good humans are a lot harder on this game then the computer is. On a scale of 1 to 5 I give graphics a 4, music a 1, difficulty 1 the funfactor is 3 given into account both modes, and replay value a 2(some people like easy games, personally I don')t. All in all i give this game a rating of a 3. not too bad but not great.
| THIS IS THE MOST HORRIBLE GAME IVE EVER PAYED | | eric from long beach, California says (10/Aug/2001): | This game needs to have somemore interesting characters. The grafics are not all that great either. The game needs a better championship mode because how are you suppost to have one of the more powerfull boxers if when you are in training you do one type of exersize you lose power in a different area of your boxer. And whats up with the hole gym thing that is lame they something else more interesting than just adding onto the gym. The arcade mode is to easy buy using the power punches and once you get the word rumble twice you just have to use the one punch knockout and you can basically beat the entire game just using it. The music for the game is also boring. The character introduction gets boring after about your third fight this where you get to the point where you just skipp the intro. I guess basically what im saying is "DO NOT BUY THIS GAME".
