This game is okay and everything but the dunking is horrible! There are a few good thing about it though. |
| Brian N. Burke from Hunstville Al USA says (21/Mar/2002): |
I got the game a couple of weeks ago. Some games cant get very good duns- but at least you can dunk! Sure the game da bomb graphics are awsome home court privleges but in the end of the game, your all alone you the basketball and the goal behind by 1 go for the dunk and miss and lose the game! That so irratating! If your in the tournament tring to customise it and with over 100 teams it`s hard enough on any game but you cant tell th collage name real easly with 3 initals! But one of the things that bugs me is on the back of the game case it says something like " Can you beat 92` Duke in the dream team tourney?" On my first time I played the dream tourney I realized that they got beat by a bad seed in the first round. Iwas really dissapointed because I had to face a number 7 seed in the final round. Another thing is ther are to many cool and hard moves and my dad wont play with me because the moves are too hard. It really stinks. I`m happy I bought the game though because you can play with women basketball for a change. You can also get special dunking moves. The game is pretty cool it`s cool it its on way!

close to perfect |
| Jeremy from Duluth, Minnesota says (12/Apr/2001): |
I think that this game is going in the right direction. I love the addition of the coach K mode to the dynasty. The unlockable moves are cool and who doesn't like being able to hang on the rim. Some of the things that are wrong with this game are, 1) It seems like alot of blocked shots are almost goaltending and nothing is called. 2) Like everyone else says, there are too many missed dunks 3) Maybe I'm picky but the Minnesota Gophers play on an elevated floor but it looks just like the rest of the arenas in the game, maybe there should be some improvements to the arenas to give each individual team a unique experience. Make them more authentic. 4) I haven't tried it, but I don't think two people can take seperate teams in dynasty mode or coach k mode and do all the recruiting and stuff like that for each team. You can play as two teams by manually selecting it while at the schedule but I don't think you can recruit for that team. If I'm wrong, I'm sorry.

Its a DIAPER DANDY BABY!!!! |
| Brandon U. from Indiana,US says (22/Dec/2000): |
This game is awesome baby! The dynasty mode and coach mode makes this game a keeper. Also, the creation stuff is cool. In dynasty mode I picked Harvard University. I created a starting lineup like this:
PG-Bryce Umphress 5'9'' 150lbs. Redshirt Freshman
SG-Dane Miller 6'7'' 200lbs. Sophomore
SF-Duke Sympson 6'10'' 250lbs. Freshman
PF-Jared Collins 7'0'' 300lbs. Junior
C-Justin Collins 7'3'' 330lbs. Junior
As their season went on they got much better. Harvard went from a non-factor team to almost a powerhouse. They ended up 25-7,won the IVY league conference, and made it to the Elite 8 in the Big Dance.
Their second year was even better. They went 30-2, won their conference, and made it to the final game but lost.
Since they were so successful, my Harvard team ended up getting Blue Chip recruits year in and year out.
This game is awesome baby, but the graphics could be better.

Pretty good... I'm impressed. |
| Edgar Zuniga from Los Angeles, Calif. says (2/Mar/2001): |
This is the first NCAA basketball game I buy for the PSX and I'm glad I waited this long. March Madness is a pretty solid game. Besides the smooth gameplay and moves, there are a number of things that need to be fixed for the sequel. 1)The menu screens are sooooo slow. 2) The uniforms and arena floors could be better. 3) Where is my "ROCK CHALK, JAYHAWK, KU???" I thought the game promised authentic team chants? 4) TOO MANY missed dunks. 5) The menu music is really annoying after a while... 6) Would really love to create my own teams, maybe even fraternity teams! (Yeah, that would be so cool...NOT! - Editor). 7) Oh yeah, not enough teams... I wanna see Youngstown St. vs. Wichita State University...
Despite all this the game is still worth it. The Dynasty mode is a big plus.

Little things can make this game a classic |
| Justin from Algona IA USA says (2/Jan/2001): |
I really like this game as I am a huge fan of college bball. Their are a few things that I would like to see happen with the dynasty. I would really like to see a recuiting style like the NCAA Football series. The recruit options right now are VERY VERY limited. There are too many blocked shots, steals, too many missed dunks. Its a good game but there are just soo many little things that I'd like to see fixed. What about a create a team feature where you create the teams colors, jerseys, floor exc. Like the Football version. A few more things are SHARPER jerseys, Alternate jerseys like Duke's black jerseys, Floridas black ones, Iowa's gold exc. Some of these things need to be adressed

Awesome Game! |
| Roy from Thomson, Georgia USA says (23/Feb/2001): |
I enjoy college BB and while I am a major South Carolina Game$#< remove me > at !s fan, I decided to try Coach K's dynasty mode. I chose Washington State and so far I am doing okay. I am 8-2 and 4-2 in the Pac-10.
The game play is great. I am currently playing on the Junior Level and I love it. I took the Game$#< remove me > at !s and won 4 consecutive NCAA titles under Freshman and Sophmore but with WSU, I am having a tougher time winning. Especially against ranked teams.
It is true that there are too many blocked shots from the computer, too many steals, and the uniforms and floors are not all there but overall this is worth buying and playing.
Go $#< remove me > at !s!

March Madness 2001 is the bomb! by jon |
| Jon from Summersville, WV says (27/Feb/2002): |
This is the first bball game i ever purchased for my playstation, and I'm glad that this was it. I think the gameplay itself is pretty realistic, except for the steals and blocks being a little to frequent - but that can be adjusted too. I also like how realistic the shots are in the game. In some basketball games i've played, you can make 3 pointers from half court, jump 50 feet in the air and other stuff like that. I think it's a pretty good game overall. I play basketball and i think that it is like what we play like. I look forward to another one!

STILL GREAT |
| A gamer from Cinncinati Ohio, USA says (25/Dec/2000): |
I have NCAA Final Four 2001 and I have NCAA Marchmadness 2001 and what I like about March Madness is that it has great grafics and the computer iskind of hard to beat. NCAA Final Four 2001 is OK but it is so easy to make a shot and they have the same dunks as lastyear and the commentary is still the same as lastyear also Final four 2001 does not have girls teams and ranks like March Madness does but final four has over 300 division 1 schools and March Madness only has about 150 I give NCAA March madness an 8 and NCAA Final Four a 4

Same as last year, but still good..... |
| Tim from Greensboro, NC USA says (14/Dec/2000): |
The game is basically the same as last year, which wasn't bad. I graduated from a MEAC school (North Carolina A&T) and most of the floors, arenas, and uniforms of the Division I-AA schools are wrong. Also, why aren't the uniforms more detailed and the numbers on the front of the jerseys? Other than that superficial stuff, the gameplay is relatively the same, and the new dunks and moves make the players a lot less stiff. Overall, still a cool game.

The Best Game Since Coach K |
| jason from St.Louis,Mo USA says (14/Jan/2001): |
This year the game has taken huge leaps. there are still too many blocks and steals, but I just turn them both all the way down. I wish that you could pick who you want to play in your nonconfrence games, and even play in a preseason tournment or two. I also had Final Four 2001, but took it back the next day for this. March Maddness 2001 is untouchable, even to be on pS1.
