evil dead hail to the king no more |
| Billy Tomlinson from Australia W.A says (18/Aug/2001): |
Evil dead hail to the king is how do i put this the biggest nock of of scary games. It suckes i gave it 3 stars because of the graphics ive seen evil dead army of darkness so i thought yeah the game might be good how wrong i was.The bad thing about this game that draged it down was it doesnt matter how many times you kill the monsters demands ore evil things in the game they just keep coming back so you die very easy. The gameplay is very sad i mean he runs like hes reatarded its Bruce Cambells voice and face but the body doesnt look right. So i end this saying dont waste your $ mony$ on getting this game even if your a fan of the movies.

Too bad |
| A gamer says (31/Dec/2000): |
I'm a gigantic Evil Dead fan. But the guys at THQ messed it up. I guess that's understandable considering that I've never played a THQ game that was worth playing. I was disappointed. But, with the help of a GameShark and a bunch of codes, the game becomes tolerable, almost enjoyable sometimes. Why couldn't they get a more competent developer pick this up? It's basically a Resident Evil ripoff with Bruce Campbell and worse graphics. I wish there would be a strategy guide I can buy because these kinds of "run around and get a key to open the door" type games piss me off. But, I have to bear it, being my favorite movie series.

The game is king of two things and Jack left town. |
| nobrain from Michigan, USA says (13/Jan/2001): |
I've been a huge fan of Evil Dead ever since I first saw it. I was really excited when I first heard it was coming out as a video game. The game finally comes out , I buy it, take it home and play it. It ticked me off. The monsters just kept on coming back. Even when I tried running I was still hurt, cuz the controls were horrible. Every time I got use to the controls for one screen it changes and I have to try getting use to them again, while trying to fight off deadites at the same time. The plot wasn't all that good. THQ should just give up on making games, they all suck everytime.

Never heard of the moivies, but i like the game. |
| Ron from Blackfoot, Idaho USA says (15/Dec/2000): |
I'm not really to far into the game, but it seems to be going ok. I don't share the same enthusiasum as some people. the graphic's are pretty good. The game play is ok also. The most important thing about a game is that it's not to hard, but yet challenging enough to keep your intrest. this game is doing that very thing. I do believe that the player is not given a adequate chance to escape, or pick up objects from the fallen dead, before being assaulted by another zombie, or skelleton. My kids think the skelletons are funny when they run away. I would recomend this game to my friends.

Great game for all the right reasons! |
| scott young from Kentucky,usa says (4/May/2001): |
OK, I know what happened. You bought the game and started playing, and you didn't get real far before you died. Hey, this game is harder than most but why is that a bad thing? I am a huge fan of the movies, bruce campbell, and Rami - and thats the point! This game wasnt made for 15 year old kids who buy games, beat them and move on. This game was developed by fans of the movies who wanted to bring it out so guys like me could be ash for a hour or two. The game play is good and the puzzles are challenging, but most of all the game is a great addition to your evil dead collection.

Who wants some? You want a little? huh? who's next? |
| Ash Arrins from Lousiana, USA says (22/Oct/2001): |
why are so many people whining about too many monsters? i mean come on already! does anyone really like killing off everything? then you have to run back and forth through empty, now pointless due to lack of danger, screens like everyone had to do after half an hour of resident evil. Just let Ash lead the way, and learn how to push forward to move forward, back to move back, and left and right to turn (jee, sounds like walking to me) and you have a great addition to an excellent trilogy, and i might add, the only movie turned game to maintain the same look, feel, AND story.

The graphics, the gameplay, and the weapons are the best that I have seen in a while. |
| Andrew Matus from Midland, MI U.S.A says (22/Dec/2000): |
Some people think that there are too many bad guys but that is the fun of the game. To win isn't everything that the game should be. It should be hard and fun and that is what Evil Dead is. The graphics are absolutely awesome compared to most games. It was a fun game from the start for me. One thing that the game has is a lot of dead ends. It was a great game for me since I have seen the movies. I recomend the game to anyone who has seen it or just likes games with long gameplay and great graphics. The game ties in with the movie trilogy a lot and that is awesome.

It was a good game. |
| Andy from Rolla Mo USA3 says (29/Dec/2000): |
I am a big fan of the movies and Bruce. So thats why I got the game. For the most part the game was pretty cool. The graphics were good. The story line wasn't bad and they even got Bruce Campbell's voice as Ash.I gave it a 7 because I beat the game in 3 hours and 47 minutes.Plus a larger variety of creatures would have been nice.Last but not least the first disc was better than the second but not by much.

A good try, but very frustrating |
| A gamer from Gaithersburg, MD says (13/Jan/2001): |
The monsters just keep on coming! You will spend most of the time fighting repetitious battles with very sloppy controls. You can barely walk from one side of the screen to the other without a fight. Very true to the movies in plot, characters, and atmosphere. But, you will grow tired of the endless fighting. And, the chainsaw fuel should last a lot longer.
|
Not for wimps! |
| Davezilla from Mesa, USA says (18/Feb/2002): |
This game kicked my butt! A game any evil dead fan cannot do without! It was fairly difficult at times, but once you get the killing moves and learn to turn the chainsaw on and off to reserve gas, it goes pretty fast. I couldn't put this game down and lost many nights sleep. I hope they make a followup.

this is one of the best games i have |
| Dillon from Mason,ohio says (21/Dec/2000): |
I am a huge follower of the movies. The game seem's to have every thing that the movies did. If you have seen the movies and are a follower of them you should buy the game just because it is so good. IF you liked Resident evil then you should buy this game because this so much better.
