Galaga: fun for a while, but repetitive | | A gamer from Phoenix, Arizona says (26/Aug/2001): | Galaga is a fun game but after a while it gets a little repetitive.I mean, stage after stage it's just flying straight shooting waves of aliens. It is fun when you want to have a game that doesn't require much thinking. It is worth the 10$ I paid though. The graphics are great also.
| Change of pace | | All greased Up from Newcastle , NSW , AUSTRALIA says (6/Jan/2001): | Ok kiddies, this is one game you really should pick up if not for anything else but a break from all the mind boggling strategy games out there or high octane racing games or oh so lifelike sports games. Grab the controller , no save function here but mind you .. could you ever save your game down the local arcade? No.. you forgo that soda and stay gluefast to your machine dropping your last quarter in as you get the 'do you wish to continue' countdown going all the while th classic keyboard sounds and pings and blips go on around you. back into it. Piloting your ship as per the first wave of Star wars movies shooting the aliens defending the earth. Sure the gameplay is a tad basic but you do have the optional powerups for sheidl and merit points to increase your ship. A bonus. Trying to shoot the bees and pick up these discs is just ADDICTIVE . Well maybe you're just like me, old, and want a memory lane trip. This is without a doubt a FUN game. The whole family can play, you can sit down with a group of friends and have a go.. even your girlfriend can play it. Since you can't save your games all is not lost when she switches the 'station off cause you wont talk to her. The lifespan of the game you ask? Well this is one game you'll buy, play, put away, then 6 months later see it and go 'yeah.. let's have a few goes at Galaga'...... the fun never ends.
| awesome for a non popular game | | A gamer from Georgetown, TX United States of America says (30/Dec/2000): | the graphics are great, gameplay is awesome, music is like the old nintendo version.In one word the game is what i say Sweet! I just bought it and i havent been able to put it down. So far ive only encountered one drawback, and that is you save after you exit but when you want to continue your saved game youre unable to for some odd reason. Other than that, i'd tell everyone out there to get this game if you liked the origional ,or if you just like flight games or action games. this is the game for all gamers.
