The best game ever made on earth33555

Josh Nelson from New Jursy, U.S.A. says (17/Oct/2003):
This game is the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The first game was ok but I love the new wepons and the slight change of control. Like the fact that you can move while targeting enimies. But Ther is just one little problem I can't tell if megaman is a girl or a boy. But other than that this game is fun. But I don't know how I'm going to beat the hard level it was hard enough the first time around I neded 78 energy canteen and a picnic lunch to defeat sara. one of the cool things is the music it has awsome battle music I expecialy liked the music when you fight Geets and the sound afects are a lot beter then the ones in the first game.

Another 3-D adventure for the Blue Bomber, once again Capcom does not disappoint24632

skeether from Vancouver, WA says (2/Jun/2003):
the following is a review for MMLegends 2 that has to be 200 words or longer. I would like to post it on both Ages, and stationplay.com
MegaMan Legends 2:
To start this review off, I would just like to say that I think that MML2 is an advancement over just about every MegaMan game out there. Those who are longtime MegaMan fans, or have at least played MegaMan X3, look at the end of this review for a little tidbit regarding X3. For one there's the story...
Story:
MML2 breaks a lot of boundaries within the MegaMan Universe. There is usually no story worth mentioning but that doesn't stop fans like me from buying them for their great gameplay and side-scrolling action. But back to the game at hand.
MML2 takes place not long after the first Legends game. It is again in full 3-D. The story fills in some of the blanks in the character's lives and allows you to connect with them in a more interesting manner. Before I give this too much praise however, I will say that I think Capcom should not leave the series here, but instead continue the Legends series with which they outdid themselves in many ways.
With this in mind, continue on.
It all begins when a rich man with a lot of determination, attempts to get close to a continent which no one has been able to get close to, much less land on, because of a giant twister that engulfs it. Kind of like the Bermuda Triangle in the sense that so much legend (ha) surrounds it.
Not wanting to spoil the game for those who haven’t played it, I won’t say more. But know that this game takes the story and runs with it, very effectively too I might add.
Graphics:
The graphics are as to be expected for a game on the PSOne. Granted they are better than average, the models can be a bit clunky at times and the camera does not always go where you want it to.
Rather than make this a big point, like a lot of other video game people do, I would like to say that it is not that big of a deal. You get used to the controls about 20 minutes (give or take) into the game and after that, it’s pretty easy to control.
Gameplay:
As did the first MegaMan Legends, this game is in full 3-D as I mentioned above. This works very well for this game and, given that it’s an RPG, I would not have liked to see it as a 2-dimesional game.
The RPG style also works well, even though there are no experience points to be earned, the game supplies you with many weapons to attach to your arms (the mark of a true MegaMan game), and upgrades for your feet, head, and body. The fact that you have to find and assemble all the parts to make these items also makes for a challenging quest on its own.
Some levels are underwater and pose an interesting form of moving about and fighting. Some levels are really long, and the puzzles sometimes take a little thought. All welcome here, no complaints.
Also new to the game are levels where you shoot from a fixed position and ones where you have to defend a target rather than destroy it.
Sound:
Above average music for a MegaMan game, but normal for one of the Legends caliber. Nothing fantastic here, but many tracks are very good. Thankfully, all the music seems to fit its environment and plays at the right times.
Replayability:
This game does not boast much replay value, but give it a few months after you beat it, and it will once again contain action and mystery. This game is a lot of fun the first time around, and playing it on Hard Mode is challenging. Try to collect all the extras, such as weapons, and this game is worth playing again. I challenge you all to beat the Mayor’s (you’ll know which one I’m talking about) 100 question quiz. It is difficult and it takes a lot of patience to complete. But just try it.
Overview:
All in all, this is a solid game. I hope that Capcom will continue this series and that more questions will be answered. Wonderful story, lovable characters, and a boss of the game that will drive you up the wall complete this Legend.
(Note to longtime MegaMan fans, there are two characters in the game while, bearing no name or power related resemblances, do bear the likeness to Bit and Byte from MegaMan X3 for the SNES. You see them for a prolonged period of time in an underwater level. Some of you may disagree with me, but listen and watch again the aging bounty hunters in that level. They look a little like Bit and Byte, and have the same personalities.)

This game kicks major butt24429

Kuja from Lexington, SC says (31/May/2003):
Me, I just started playing MML2 a few days ago...I've been playing for about 15 hours now, and every time I turn around I'm blown away by the graphic, or the bosses, and even the weaponry(the Drill Arm rocks-no pun intended.) The Nino Ruins are probably the hardest dungeon-type deal I've encountered in a long time-it took me 3 1/2 hours to get out after I got the second Key. Naturally I'm gonna sing praise about the second one since I didn't play the 1st. It's really awesome. If you're a fan of Megaman(hey that rhymes! :p), or if you like RPG and stuff like that, this game is a must-have.

I'm a big fan of Mega Man, but even someone who isn't would fall in love!!18076

Ultimate_Dragoon_SRW from Fort Payne, AL says (22/Feb/2003):
I have played many games, many of them RPGs, one of which is a classical favorite of mine, Legend of Dragoon, but Mega man Legend 2 is fun!!!If I may suggest a few things, buy MML2, and also Legend of Dragoon. If you are already a fan of LOD, please contact me at switkowf< remove me > at bellsouth.net, and I can help you with it.I am a seasoned pro at that game(notice I like "legend" games)Anyway, i give 2 thumbs up for this game. This is like a RPG on drugs, without the weird batle scens, and you see your enimies coming.I also love going on digs, finding new parts, making new special weapons, upgrading them, upgrading the buster gun, and fighting the bosses. The bosses are fun, and this game is complicated without showing it.

Great Game9434

A gamer says (3/Sep/2002):
This game was Awesome! Definetly one of the best Mega Man games of all time. I couldn't stop playing it.It's very addictive. I thought the graphics were exceptionally good. The sound was great and was fitting to the surrounding area you were in. The gameplay was excellent and the controls were not hard at all to adadbt to. The funfactor of the game is off the charts, although some parts of the game can be very difficult. Like some of the ruins and the test on Manda Island. I personally thought the water ruins were very confusing. There were also some parts that seemed a little too easy. For example, fight the Bird Pirates and fighting the pirates on the train.

This game is awesome!!7216

Kerry Toole from Baltimore, USA says (5/May/2002):
Though I have not played MML, I was instanly hooked to this game. The graphics and sound were great. I plan to play this game over, and over, and over. This is definitely the best Mega Man game, 3-D or other wise. Within two days, I had played it for fourteen hours, yet got nowhere. Plus, I learned stuff from the mayor's quiz. This was the first game I ever got for my PS1, and I am completely satisfied. If you don't already have this game, it is a great game to buy(if it is not used!!)

The Game is kinda cool.5162

Goku/MML2lover hunter from Dover,Delaware,USA says (5/Jan/2002):
For all those people who have or played this game but not mml your crazy. MML was so much better, you could go on T.V. game shows and even ride on cars. You can buy Roll a car and ride in it. MML2 is ok though the graphics is the down side and the storyline is kinda dumb but it reminded me of MML thats why i got it. All those other reviews done there that doesnt say anything about MML are nothing. Its all about MML. I liked MML so much that I bought it 5 times! because it either got scratched or cracked. If u have to choose from MML2 and MML get MML trust me its worth it.

Great Expectations..............4517

Myles Handley from Crown Point, Indiana, USA says (21/Nov/2001):
When I first picked up MML, it was a slice of gaming heaven. Heck, it was an entire pie of gaming heaven. You can read my review of MML on this site. So you can imagine my expectations of MML2. Dont get me wrong, this is a good game, but come on, it is no where near MML. Graphics are a lot better, but Tron Bonne is a different voice, though she was great the first time. MegaMan is a 14 year-old at the peak of puberty, it seems. Plus, the biggest complaint is the fact that nothing is new. All great things can adapt, and this game does not.

It's Okay...3238

Shadow from Louisville, Kentucky, USA says (26/Jul/2001):
I got it because I liked the first one alot. MML2 isn't a great game, but it's okay. It's good for Mega Man fans. It has okay graphics, but not the best story line. It's pretty fun, but not for long hours of play. Get this one if you want to pass some time.

Mega Man Legends 2: The best Mega Man game yet!2793

Mario Alvarado from Northampton, Massachusetts in the USA says (21/Jun/2001):
I just got Mega Man Legends 2 a few days ago and let me tell you, it's the best Mega Man game I have played. The graphics are somewhat better than the first. The underwater effects and the heat rising from the ground are nice touches that give that area their own look and personality. The in game music and sound effects are better than the first and are enjoyable to listen to. The game has more areas to explore than the first and some areas are really HUGE!!!! As for the controls, they are the same as in the first, but you get more powerful weapons and new body pieces for any enviroment. Because of the large amount of areas to explore, the game takes a long time to finish, but it is worth it. Much of the cast from the first game return to my delight and the game adds some humor in some parts of the storyline. The game does have its fun parts, but some areas in the game make you want to pull your hair out because it is so hard. The underwater stages and the quizzes almost made me crazy. As for originality, the game does have a bunch of new baddies, new friends, new weapons, new missions and new areas instead of exploring an island like in the first game. So, take it from a devoted Mega Man player. Mega Man Legends 2 is a must have. So, go get it!

This game got me hooked and i doubt i'll stop playing until I'm done!2285

Ben from Maine (and that's all i'm tellin' ya ) says (6/Mar/2001):
When I first rented MML I thought it was one of the best games I had played in a long time, but it fell short in a few places. When i decided to buy MML2, I was surprised at how much it had improved. The graphics still lack in their perfection, but it's a small price to pay for the sweetest game play and high-action scenes!
I only have 1 of the 4 keys to unlock the mother lode, but if the rest of the game is this good... YOU'RE IN FOR A TREAT! Mega man has been redesigned and roll has too. The amout of weapons you can get in this game is unbeliveable!
If you go to www.capcom.com, they sell it for cheap! 30.00$! The voices are also done extremely well. Mega man does sound a bit... well, girlish for a 14 year old boy, but it didn't matter to me. The plot it good and roll plays more of a part in this.
Please buy or rent this game and e-mail me to tell me what you think. This is just my opinion, DON'T ONLY TAKE MY WORD FOR IT, CHECK OUT SOME OF THE OTHER REVIEWS. Thanks!

Great but hard2176

Mark Wiech from Sheboygan, WI, USA says (23/Feb/2001):
It is a fun game but the only problem is that to get to the harder spots you must finish this impossible test and they don't give you any good equpiment to do it with. The end bosses are hard and so are some of the puzzles (by the way If you get stuck at the ruin with the last key in the room with the indusctable reverbots you must stand in front of the hole and role out of the way at the last minute to get them to fall in.) so I think it is a game worth playing

Mega Man legends 2, the game of the year1910

Shawn from Ontario, Canada says (30/Jan/2001):
I recently rented this game and I thought it was really fun and challenging. I rented the first one and loved it so I was obviously hooked on this game. I will indeed rent this game again because, it is one of those games that you have to rent a couple of times to even get close to remotely beating it. This is a must rent game for all of you smart people who like challenges, and like fooling around with different gadgets. That is why I gave this game a ten!

You can rent this game at RedOctane.com

Great But Difficult1545

Tru_Gamer from USA says (5/Jan/2001):
This game is real great. Lots of new stuff, and although I didnt really play the first game much, this game is much better, though all old charactors they didn't give a new look which was bad. One other bad thing is if you havn't played the first one (like me) it can be hard to get into and hard to understand. I got a strategy guide off the net, and before levels it says what weapons are the best, but I cannot find where to find any of the weapons they list. But, all together it is a great game

Great Game for Mega Man Fans, with a slight pinch of RPG.1245

Joe Louis says (24/Dec/2000):
MML2 is a great game but i personally liked MML1 so it automatically got me hooked. Has lots of humor and jokes. You can do anything from upgrading your weapon to buying a comicbook to buying a stuffed animal for your girlfriend Roll. The only bad thing is the polygonal graphics. I bought it the day it came out and am still playing it to christmas.
