Best Game! | | Katherine from Illinois, USA says (9/Jul/2005): | This is the best game I have ever played! I am married to Ann and she just had her baby. It is also only 3rd year and in Spring 14th. Thanx everyone who had the recipe for Butter lol! My parents always keep telling me to get off and stuff but THEY don't understand how fun and addicting it is! I can't what till my son grows up because all it does is what it's mother. (Which I can understand) To bad you can't hold the baby too. One day I hope to have a lot of money and have MOSTLY everything perfect. That is really werid that you can ride your dog and horse LOL! I get up sometimes like at 4:00 A.M and play until well until everyone wakes up. That is also how I got so far!
HINT: If you are married to popuri DON'T give her weeds to go away!!!

| how to make stuff | | faith huffman from usa,wv,shady spring says (28/Aug/2005): | i LOVE HARVEST MOON so much! and i thought i would help some people with cooking skills on harvest moon so... ok you put milk in the blender to make butter and to make ketchup you get a tomato, onion then put it in the mixer with some sugar,salt and vinegar! and if you give an egg to yodel he will tell you how to make ice cream! and if you give a ear of corn to saibara then he will tell you how to make pickled turnips. if you give honey to louis then he will raise the price on the honey and will tell the buyer to buy it for more,after that you can give him 1,2,or 3 more honeys and he will tell you how to makeapple sauce..or somthing like that! i know this cause im on year 7 and im married to popuri and have a boy who is growing rapidly, and 10 chickens,sheep,and 3 cows and still growing.i like helping others with harvest moon, im getting a gameboy sp so that i can buy harvest moon that is on gameboy sp, so im so excited! actually i think im going to play harvest moon right now!

I was married to Popouri and had a kid and i was mates with every single person in the village and all the girls liked me with purple heart except my wife who had red... all the animals loved me with full hearts and i almost had half a million dollars and had every single thing that was possibly available to buy... any room on my farm not taken up with crops was all grass and everything was good but then i wanted to start a new game just for a chage in a different diary date and one day i accidently over writted my perfect awesome cool game and i tryed to turn of my playstation but it saved so now instead of having my perfect game that i had clocked and was on 4th year and had been working on for 2 years i'm stuck with a game where i'm in the first year and have barely and money and i'm rewally angry....oh god so angry.....i'm wondering if there's any possible way to re-gain it back but i was so happy with my old game but harvest moon back to ature still roxors!

harvest moon is a nice game i been playing this game for 3 years the graphics are ok and the sounds i married karen cz she's pretty i love the festival especially the cooking i only won once T_T i only have a few recipes i only have about 25 if u want 2 win the cooking festival try this its the easyest 1 i can think of ^_^ ICE CREAM-exellent quality eggs,exellent qualitymilk,sugar,pot,whisk,pot,pinaple,knife,apple,grapes,honeyand the winning touch the strawberry ^_^ u dont win anything in the cooking festival...im not sure im very good at this game im in the 3rd yr. i put my dog n my hot house but it still broke since im int the 3rd year it broke 4 times already T_T .

Then he showed me his farm,and I loved it sooo much that I started my own farm. Now I have a massive house, married to Popuri, I have built everything you can build, and I have 1 million dollars. I like this game 'cause it makes you think,. and it teaches you to takr care of things and to take responsibility for your actions. Also, I have a question to ask. If you marry Karen, who does Rick get to marry? does he marry, or does he stay single? Also, what happens if one of your chickens wins the sumo tournament twice or more? does the chicken its self turn gold? or does its egg just go up in value? Oh and just a hint Natsume, in Winter, the music is a little depressing. Not that i'm a sad case, but I think you could make it a little cheerful in winter. Keep up the good work! oh, and can you get your farm up to 100 percent? and i love this came 'cause you can't get sore eyes from it
| this game is soooo spiffeh!!! | | Lexine from paranaque, Philippines says (27/Nov/2005): | i got this game from my friend, who told his brother and his other friends, i was the last to know of course, i thought when i first got this game, ughhhh, wow, a game about farming, whoopdeedoo, i doubt it 'll be any fun, but, what the heck!? ok, when i got on my PS one night, i played the game, and then i heard the sounds, and i felt excited, suddenly giving it more appreciation. and i said, awwww, what a cute little doggie, and look at all those flowers! oh goodness, this actually might be fun! and it was, the following day, i played harvest moon for 6 hours straight! coz it rocked too much! wow! this game rocks hard!!! and then after i played it for months straight, i got bored and stopped playing (wahhhh!) and i got bored again so we reunited (hoorayyy!) i worked on a new farm, and i made it very very successful, not to brag, i mean, my farm is currently 53% i have 3 sheep, 1 cow, 10 chickens, a horse, a kewl doggie, and a wife that loves me. it is now fall 2nd year, my wife and i married on spring 26 second year, she is now pregnant! my wife is mary, coz she is one of the easiest ones to get, coz by fall 1st year, her heart was already red, she is also very nice to me, and doesent like the typical things you should hate, like weeds, sticks, etc. nobody really likes mary, but i think she rox. well i've written quite long now havent i? hehehe, i think i'll name my baby dave, after me of course! ( hehe, my names david! )

| i just love this game | | vivian and ryan from singapore says (17/Dec/2005): | i just started this game when someone gave it to me and that time we just biught this playstation and we don't have a memory card so we tried to play until for ... ... we don't know but can you imagine without a memory card and we played with couple of sleepless night and we enjoyed it and we now have a wife and a new born baby called Gap gap and our wife is popuri i wanted karen!now i have a memory card and now is 3.36am and we are still playing my bro and i are glued to the television screen coz of this game and actually final fantasy is also good .And thanks for the eips they are really good and please play this game if you have not tried it coz you will enjoy it real soon it is hard to find games for ps1 now so this is the choice and the characters are sooooooooo cute and they way they talk is irrisistable cuteeeeeeeee and the harvest sprites are so cute that you can't stop paying them a visit and those who have already entered the cheat code thanks and i find them very useful!goodluck!have fun!enjoy!

I have only given a puppy to Elli's little brother so far and nothing great has happened so dont know if anything is supposed to or who to give it too for something to happen. Anyone know when to go and see the Winter flower on Mother's Hill? What is supposed to happen if you see it or pick it? How can you help Lillia with a red magic red flower? Can you help her with it? Also I have put my bushel basket in the center of the hot house and have never lost it to a hurricane. You also need small stones to make a special baked potato with sweet potatoes. The small stones appear when you first are trying to clear your farm at the beginning of the game. I am married to Mary, the librarian. She loves Cabbage. If you use the sprites to water your crops, watch them because they dont do a very good job. Is ther no secret cavern in the regular cave like there is in the winter cave?

First i suppose is how u get to own a farm. When the game starts you are standing in a farm and a fat guy all in red comes up to u and says:
"Hey, this farm has been closed for 6 monthes! You can't come waltzing in here! I have to look after this farm until *your name* comes!" Or something like that.
Then without saying it he suddenly knows you are that person. he says:
"Oh, you're *your name*! Tell me, how did you meet the old chap?" And it goes into a kind of black-and-white slideshiw of you as a kid. Your parents cant find somewhere to stay and the old guy says he will look after you and then comes the slideshow of you on horses and other stuff on the farm.
Then it goes back to you and the guy in red (who is caalled Thomas and turns out to be the Mayor of the town : Mineral Town.
He says:
"Oh. Well this farm's all yours then.
Then it is the next morning and you eat bread inside the farmhouse.
So...there you have it. The whole game is ahead of you. So what are you waiting for? Read some other reviews and find out what you can do in the game!
| My favourite game series ever!!!!! | | Amy from Destination:In front of my screen!! says (24/Jan/2006): | Yes, for those who do not know it this game is a series, I have played the very first one of it when I was tiny, like 3 or 4 or something. I have gotton to play lots of the versions and I love them all. So before I got harvest moon btn I pretty much knew a bit about the game already. I really want harvest moon save the homeland and a wonderful life and the girl versions for it, its so ultimatly fun. Right now I am married to Ann, 2nd year 22nd of Spring and I got married to her like a month ago and me is blue hearts with Elli, green with Popuri and purple with Karen and Mary. I gots to make friends with the rivals of them so I can go to their wedding. My favourite person on the game is May, shes just so little!! She reminds me of my next door neighbour!!! Oh yes and I have 7 chickens a cow and a sheep and have shipped lots oh harvesting, all extensions 'cept hot house and havn't got the machines yet, I don't really see any point to getting the hot house but I will get it anyway eventually..

So far in my game I'm in the 3rd yr my wife is Elli and we have a son his name is Carl.And I reaaly don't know if I'll pass the mayor's standards of taking care of the farm.
Here's a hint for upgraded tools wish this could help.
You can get very proficient with your tools and have them ready to be upgraded quickly in two days by doing the following. On the very first day of the game (before leaving the house) grab any tool out of the toolbox as soon as you can.
Use it over and over until it hits 400%; your guy will fall down automatically once he is exhausted (he will fall down and get back up after a little while). Now when you leave the house on the first day, go to the Hot Springs before using the tool and stay in there for two hours. While there, fill up the watering can.
On the second day, before leaving the house, use the watering can until it too goes to 400%. Again, go to the springs immediately after. Your tools will all be ready to upgrade to Mystrile, and the game has barely started!

| THE HARVEST MOON FEVER IS IN ME | | Am from Philippines says (22/Feb/2006): | I just love this game soo much because from the very first time my classmate let me play it in the gameboy i was addicted to it and now that i have a playstation i can now play it on my own and with a memory card...Ohhhh i just love this game very very much.... BUt so sad that our ps1 is broken so i am back to non harvest moon life....TOO BAD but still THE GAME ROCKS.....especially the BTN and now i just play in sometimes if my cuzins let me borrow thiers. And even though i still look for many cheats and now that i found many i am so excited to play it again....... I love the adventure thats why i rated this 10....I really love it though... But if you want to get the cheats i found go at this websites; www.absolute-playsation.com, www.hmfarm.com and just find others O.kk Glad i can help... | ann | | samantha from scotland,fife and uk says (3/Apr/2006): | i like harvest moon because you get to marry people if you like ann this is what you need to do give her as many flowers you could get in your rucksack but leave two spaces in your rucksack then get wine go to the supermarcket and wrap it up in some paper then get some bread from the supermarket and then wrap that up as well then her heart level should go up atleast by one when you go to get the flowers in mothers hill get the white flowers first because she likes them the best.Also at the start of the game in spring on the 2nd or the 3rd go to the inn and a tune will go on and anns father will ask you a question this is what he says "what do you think of my daghter?" this is what it will come up with she seems cheerful and also at the bottom it will say shes cute answer this shes cute and her father will be pleased with you and im sure ann will as well.And in the 2nd year in spring on the 7th go up to ann and she will say" its the goddes festivel tomorow" it will come up and say ask to escort her and then dont ask press ask to escort her then the next day she will be waiting for you out side your house and she will say get your work done first but dont worry she wouldnt go away until you said to her its time to go and then you will go with her to the goddes festivel and then after she has danced knowone else would be there except you and ann after that she will ask you to go to the water fall with her answer yes.Also at the cooking festivel on the 2nd year take in a dish and dont talk to any one or they will win and at the end if youv won anns heart level will increase by one (you must not be married to do these things and you cant ree marry anyone if you fell out with your wife.i hope this information was good enogh for you all.(OH YEH AND GOOD LUCK WITH ANN)!!!!!

This is what u get to do in this game: work, work , work, meet the townspeople, get the 5 girls to like u, which are: Ann ( my favorite) Karen ( the hard one) Mary ( easy to get) Popouri( can help u with ur farmwork) Elli( she tries her best). If they like u enough, u might get to marry one of them! Ann is cute, and good at cooking, give her eggs, milk, wool, and apple (flowers too) Karen may seem hard but just give her wine and you’ll do fine. Mary, just give her herbs, mushrooms, and do to the second floor of the library and read something. Popouri, be nice to her mom, Lillia( give the mom an apple each day in the fall) give her toy flowers and the pink flowers that blooms in the summer. Elli, visit her grandma, Ellen, give her herbs( I think) if u didn’t play this game yet, why not ask ur parent to go to the mall and get u this game?
