Yup, great game | | ckrimbro from Boringsville, Texas says (19/Jul/2004): | To start off this game has some of the best SIM/FARMING of all the Harvest Moons I've played(I'm not saying that the others weren't fun). Much has changed compared to the 64 version. The town is alive.
MUSIC 5: The music is ordinary, not to good though....
GRAPHICS 7: The visual apperance is great. I especially like winter minus the STORMS...My poor hot house. I will always remember you...
GAMEPLAY 8: Fairly typical for the average Harvest moon player. Loading could be faster(Its just a PSX game anyways :P), and lets not get into the fishing part of the game. Where's Jaws when you need him!? The Festival could use a kick in the fun department, but they keep you going. The ability to transfer you animals was just pure genius!
CHALLENGE 9: If you have never planned a day in your life stay away from this game. It requires day to day planning. To do everything in this game will take even the most devoted player to the edge. With recipes, harvesting, festivals, fishing, and finding your true love this game offers alot.
if you're looking for a farming simulator with a huge story line then I recomend you play this game and if you don't I will come to your house and beat you with a blunt knife!

Anyways if you're not sure about this game, then rent it, but its better than playing Pokemon all day long.

Pleasent, MI or Shields, MI says (26/Dec/2001): | When I first saw my cousin playing Harvest Moon-Back To Nature, I thought it must have been a stupid little kid game. But then, I watched her play it more and more, and eventually began to play it myself. How you can interact with other characters inside the game is very neat and I hope they come out with one for a girl in America. I like the different festivals, planting crops, and trying to find out different ways of getting the things that you want. Like seeing the Fairy Goddess by giving her EGGS is so cool. The whole entire game is a work of sheer brillance and I congratulate whoever came up with this most excellant idea. The graphics were okay, not horrible but not the best, the sounds were cool. I really liked how the music changed when you were in a different area, and when a event started up. That is my very favorite part, the moments that happen with the others are really cool, only I wish that there were more of them. The only part that I didn't really like was how everything stopped going on after the baby could walk and talk. He doesn't grow anymore, and nothing else happens! I mean, no more major moments, nothing to work for, but besides that, this game rocks!!!!! I hope that maybe someday it will come out, renewed so that more stuff is equiped and the game will last for longer. Hope you like the game as much as I do!!!

Where I live, games like this are very hard to come by because of football fans. In the UK, if you want a football game, then you get a huge choice, but if you like RPGs, then if you want one, then you may as well forget it. I rented this game because I was unsure if it was as good as Final Fantasy 9, the tenth rpg to come to britain. I only rented it for four days, and it was nowhere near enough. I din't want to take it back, but I did. And I bought it over a week later, and now I can't stop playing it. I have to at the moment because the british version has a bug in it where it crashes if your farmer gets married, so I've had to send it off to get fixed. I highly recommend this game, it is the most refreshing game ever. It has clost to perfect that you can get, the loading times can be a pain, but you just ignore them. This is great, if you're someone who's looking for something new to try, then I recommend this. It may sound odd, a farming sim with a strong dose of real life, but that doesn't matter, because they're the best parts in lots of great parts. Buy this and enjoy the best game ever, and if Natsume release a new Harvest Moon, I hope it's even better than this, if they can do that anyway. I hope so, this is perfect, fun and once you play, you just can't stop.

And after three months I get bored playing this game. It's just I didn't appreciate it. But, I realized that I was wrong. And after 5 years here I am very addicted of playing it. I really spending hours everyday to play Harvest Moon BTN. I am on my third year now; I married Lillia's daughter Popuri and she's pregnant. This game is very amazing. I liked it so much because it helps a person to understand what life is and how to have fun while seriously doing your responsibility as a farmer and as a husband to your wife( I will be a father soon after Popuri will born our child). It also develops one's capability to handle a situation. Yes, its really fun and addicting!!!!!
I admit that I have used cheats for me to perform well. My farm percentage currently at 60% and I know I definitely stay in the game.

In my case I have worked in my 1st and 2nd years very hard till I have discovered a cheat and definitely I used it. I need help so I have to do it. Natsume did a great job of making this kind of game. Because it's not far from reality. That's why I shall salute the makers of Havest Moon: BTN. Thank you NATSUME!
| Harvest Moon Is a lot of fun! | | A gamer from British Columbia, Canada says (22/Nov/2002): | I think that Harvest Moon is a lot of fun because of all the different things to do in the game. I especially like the Chicken festival because my chicken won the fist year. The festivals are really interesting, and i like mining in the caves.
I also like all the little shops, and the library because they give you hints. The graphics are awesome! i like how all the characters and buildings are 3d. I also like all the new and different extensions that you can get on the game. The sound is so real, and it is really creative. i like the sound that it makes when you are fishing, or when you throw objects in the water. Another sound i like is when you drop something on the ground, but it sucks because then you have dropped somtething worth money on the ground, or just a weed. I spend hours and hours at a time playing this. I like the way the tv is on this game is better than the tv on the first harvest moon because its easier to operate it. I also like the barns way better than the barn on the first game. The only thing i don't like better than the first game is how big the rucsack is, but i like the thing for the mine that they sell in the store. I also think the family arrangements are better on this game. There are way more different festivals, and there are about four a season. Thats what i think about this game.

Once you're married, you can continue to ply your affections with candy and flowers and so forth, and if you continue lovin' her up, she may have a baby. Every red-blooded hetero boy's dream, yes?
Now, conversely, if there were the option of playing the girl and having your pick of five guys to date... do you really think you'd need to buy him presents and candy and flowers to convince him to impregnate you? Shoot, you could skip directly to that step without even starting a farm!
The gender issues in this game are so deep that, if Natsume did give the option of playing a female character, it would probably take a completely different game, like the dual versions of Pokemon. This version would have to be written from a woman's point of view, which takes into account the problems that the women of HM face without the male character's help: helping their own family business, courting the only boy in the village, getting him to like you, getting married, bringing a child to term and raising it yourself! You couldn't accomplish those things in a typical HM game just by adding ponytails to the boy's sprite.

Basically, you are a young man on an old abandoned farm (owned by your granfather many years back.) You have 3 years to get the farm running again..You have to make money in all possible ways (fishing, Picking things from the grass and selling them, vegetables, fruits, and more) You also have the oppurtunity to have all your basic farm animals (cows, sheep, A dog, Horse, and even fish!)
Also to make it more intresting..There are five single women in the village..if you are nice to them...and give them gifts and talk to them a lot, you could end up with a wife! Of course, this game is challenging so nothing on it is easy! You have to have house extensions before you can marry her, and as you know, house extensions cost money! To make it more challenging, before you can marry her..The heart has to be red or yellow. Hehe, Yep, when ever you talk to the girl, or give her gifts, There will be a heart at the bottom...The colors are...
Black-She could care less about you. (no offense,lol)

N karen is the hottest anyway (no offence 2 mi m8 n her wife, ann!)
To get karen give her bamboo which you can get every day really easily and for free on mother's hill n also wine coz she luvz it!
she's really cute n she may seem hard but when you marry her she gets nicer n ur her 1st priority.
The 1 thing i would say is dat she's v strange coz she ses the same thing day in n day out talkin bout "the other day" wen, wen she's sed it for a couple o'months evry mornin its not the other day any mor!

Cause the day i started playing harvest moon i've never plaed anything else except harvest moon!! I mean when I go home after school. my sisiters will see me infront of the tv. My parents even got mad because they saw me playing about 4 o'clock in the morning. cause I usualy started playing at 5 to 7 and 9 to 5am.
I wish they will make another version of harvest moon. you know. larger map,more chicken, cow,and sheep to take care more girls to make friends. and also more CROPS and type of ORE. But i hope they'll make it on PLAYSTATION1. Hope, If Iwould have a kid I could introduce this game to him.CAUSE Iwas realy facinate the first time I played it. I never felt bored even once.there are alot of events happening. and also if the events isn't enough the way you will meet the girls are so cool.If I could RATE this game 11 I WOULD. THis game can make the world go UP SIDE DOWN. I was realy disapointed when I read some of the review that say this game sucks. they must be living in the STONE AGE. this game must be AWRDED for all the effort. Your grandfather was very busy man ,however he was happy to have your with him .Thought the town was small ,there was something new and exciting to do everyday .So your grandfather give you his ranch to you .In this game you can enjoy hours and hours of non-linear game play as you interact with over 40 unique characters .You also can collected 100 different of recipes cook .You also can create your own dishes to “woo” the women in this town .It have four season in this game .It is spring ,summer ,fall ,and winter .It have many different type vegetables seed you buy it .In this game have many ton of mini games ,such as chicken sumo ,annual town tomato fight ,dog race ,horse race ,and many .The characters move in real-time. You also can be friend to harvest sprites .After you be friend to harvest sprites ,you can ask him to help out around your ranch .In this game you can married women in this small town .You always give things to who you like and one day you can married him.

| The Best Game Evahhhhhh!!!! | | harvestmoonaddict from Philippines says (12/Jun/2005): | I bought Harvest Moon: Back to Nature when we were strolling along a particular mall, when my brother saw a shop for playstation games, while he was picking, I walked along the shop to reccomend to my brother, a salesalady came to me and asked me if I needed anything I told her if she knew any games for ps1, she quickly said Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town, I asked if I can see it, she hurriedly came to get it, but it turned out that it was almost sold out and what's left is Harvest Moon: Back to Nature, from the first time I saw it, it quickly struck me, the characters displayed on the cover were so cute, the background, everything! So I quickly told her we would purchase it, I ran to my brother, I almost tripped, I quickly told him about it, he was amazed by the display, so we bought it. When we got home, we quickly tested it, the first thing on my mind, was is this great?, when I heard the music, and saw all the characters, I told myself, it is great!!!! At first I can't understand what we are going to do until the end of 3 years. We haven't harvested any crops, we didn't own any cows so we have to leave Mineral Town. We played it once again, and now, we know what we have to do. Harvest Moon truly is the best game evahhhh!!!!!

you can attempt 2 chop down the cedar tree at the top of the mountain and it will ask you if ur realli goin 2 chop it down so make sure you ansa "dont chop down" and you will get a power berry thing...

Parts of the game are fully predictable like wen therz the scenez wiv the girlz, itz kinda obvious which ansaz 2 choose 2 make them like u more but if u want ther hearts up quiker giv them stuff that they like...

| A Really Different Kind of RPG | | Kensai Hidimiya from Kobe, Japan says (5/Jan/2004): | Harvest Moon BTN is really quite addicting. The game is simple to learn and is really fun. I've played this game for a looong time (I'm in year 18!) and I still play it for at least 2 hours a day.
The good thing about it is you actually need to think and not just sit there and let the game play for you. You have to earn money, need to spend it wisely, need to interact with people (in the good way or else they'll kick you out), you have to be good to your animals (they actually produce more stuff when they love you) and you actually eat, get tired, get sick and work hard (for the none cheating ones).
One thing I can say is you're bound to get addicted, especially when preparing for festivals. The programmers have done a great job because the game is really fabulous because there's no game like it!
You'll find things like throwing your dog in the Harvest Festival (not advisable!) hilarious! I'm a girl and I still find it really cute to court girls like Elli, Karen and Mary. The game might still be short of updated interactive things but its really really good!
If you're anything like me, you'll love this game and make sure the Harvest Moon games for PS2 and GBC and GBA. Down with GameCube and XBox! XP!

My addiction to Harvest Moon started from my ex-friend. He brought over some games to play while my mom was out, and among them were Yoshi story (woohoo!) and Harvest Moon 64. I was very sceptical at first, but I was soon completely hooked on it. I ended up playing that game all night. Last month, I started to get bored of 64 (as I had been playing that same game for...3 years), so I decided to check out Save the Homeland. Now, I didn't really like the fact that you can't get married in this one and that the game has to end whether you like it or not. So I bought Back to Nature without even trying it first, and I have absolutly NO regrets. It's the best of them all, and I love it forever and ever. If you haven't tried it, just give it a chance. Rent it fist though, because this game is definately an aquired taste.

i want to tell that in the first day in any year ,we know that harvest goddes held a competition that is guest what number next.so from my friend ,he said that when you answers correcttly 500 times you will jewel of truth,1000 you will get harvest godess crown (if im not wrong)so have a try!!
u can find jewel of truth beside the your dog house and in your water tank in the horse house,(im sure about this bcaz all my friend got them,but you must already have 3 jewel of truth)
