I love this game, and the graphics are splendid. It's not my favorite game, because I'm more into action games (i.e. Final Fantasy...), but it's definitely a game I could play for hours on end.
There are only two things about the game that really bother me, but they're not big deals. The first thing is how long it takes to get into another room. When you open a door, it takes a long time for the new screen to load, and if there's new BG music in that particular area, that takes a long time, too. Another thing is how it tends to get tedious after a while; the days are much longer than they are in the N64 version, and after being hooked on that version for about a year, it tends to grate on your nerves. Due to the fact that the days are so long, you find yourself repeating things you've already done, and after about the first two months it starts to get tedious. After that the gameplay picks up a little, but it's just those first two months...

I only got Harvest Moon a week ago but so far its been excellent! I was one of the people who downloaded the SNES version first, and it wasnt all that great. I mean, come on. I was married in summer, had my house fully upgraded by Autumn (of Fall for all you Americans) and 2 kids pretty soon after. Boring. But then I decided to give Back to Nature a try. It was a little annoying because it was $64.95NZ but oh well! The gameplay is great, the sound, although somewhat repeditive, is great too. The only major flaw I have found in this is that it is incredibly addictive and Mum keeps kicking me off my Playstation 2, which isnt so good.

This one is the best game i've ever played. It has nice graphic, cool characters, good music and a very great story. The best thing about this game is you can get merry with the girl of your choice. I've beated the game to times and still playing it; my goal is to get all the girls in this game like me.

Harvest Moon: Back to Nature is the best game ever created. It is addictive, never boring, and you never really finish it. A bunch of recipes, cooking, mayonnaise, cheese, cotton, and so on and so on. You can NEVER finish it, there will always be something you haven't finished. Props to Natsume.

U should really get this game! I started playin it when i was bout 7 (now im 11). Well I started off with the SNES Harvest Moon, but i got older and more and more Harvest Moon games and i bought almost all of them (even the Game boy ones but there crapy). Well the HM BNT game is better than them all, it has better graphics more animals, a bigger selection of crops, more items (basket, ball, all of the cookin stuff etc.) and more people. The part i likes most is u get to cook. Its really fun to see if the Judge person will like ur food or not. The feedin the animals part is really fun when u feed ur animals and see if they will like u. Well buy this game its great!

i think this game is so good i must have been on it for about 76 hours non stop i have a big folder full of info and i cant stop enjoying it its the best i was reading a issue of powerstation and there it was i was sure i would buy it when it came out me and my freinds could not stop talking about it for about 3 weeks and when i got it i loved it i sugest you go and buy this game as soon as you have got the money its. its well worth it the reason i love this game is the life span goes on for ages and the graphics are mint the variaty of diffrent things you can do on it is wicked the music is good buy it please

This game was the best ever! I liked it cause you get animals crops and other cool things. The recipes are a little hard but it is still cool. Harvest moon is great but the game boy color stinks because to me they dont have good graphics. On my game I have wife and kid. Its been 9yrs on the game and I have everything. Why can't I stop playing this game?? My husband is starting to get upset and my baby just threw his cereal across the room, yet it is so hard to hit the pause button for just a few minutes (Sorry, honey, I'll clean that up in a minute!!) I'm on Spring of the third year and it's like my favorite soap opera. I'm married to Ann and she's pregnant. The Doctor and Elli just got hitched and Harris keeps thanking me for Aja writing to him. I have a huge picture of my horse and I after winning the horse race, Two sheep with golden wool, and one cow with golden milk.6 months ago my brother(who's 5 years younger than me) started playing the game. I watched for a minute and said "Man, that looks pretty stupid" little did I know that I would become just another Harvest Moon addict. Okay, so the music can slowly start to kill your brain cells and delve you into everlasting madness. Even more reason to mute the tube and crank some tunes. And winter can get a little monotonous, unless you really love mining. I don't really like mining so my days seem longer in the winter...I spent a good portion of time sleeping and taking care of my thirty animals. Otherwise, I love the graphics and all the work there is to do. During the Spring, Summer, and Fall months there seems not to be enough time in the day. Between watering, harvesting, and planting fields and taking care of a barnful of cows and sheep, and a henhouse full of chickens, plus petting your dog and riding your horse, I don't know how I get it all done. Thank the Goddess for the Harvest Sprites and Power Berries. Without them you wouldn't even be able to keep up with the animals. It's nice to get done with a full day of work, slip into the house and see Ann asleep in her bed. Then waking up and listen to her exuberate over her growing belly. 100% fun for the entire family. I plan to teach my son the wonders of Harvest Moon:Back to Nature as soon as he's old enough to hold the controller without putting it into his mouth!

This game is like the best I ever played yet. The first time I played it I thought it was boring so I let my little brother play for a while. Later he said the game was good so played it again now I am so addicted to the game I can't stop playing cause I want to know what will happen if I do this or that.

This game is simply the best! You get to farm, have animals (of course u have to take care of them!) AND EVEN GET MARRIED!You also get to COOK! Thats the best part! The only thing i have to say is that the booklet that comes in the container should explain how to have children...I have PS1 and i had a little trouble having a baby with Karen.......though i asked some people and eventually got it...Its very addictive (in a good way) and very fun and enjoyable...if u dont have this game....i suggest u go to a video game store and buy it! You wont regret it!!! Harvest Moon - Back To Nature.

I think this game is so cool. When i first got the one for N64 i had a blast staying up so late the next day i would be dizy. I thought that one was great but boy was i wrong. Now i have this one and i haven't gotten any sleep for 5 days straight. I cant stop just yesterday i didnt even eat i was playing it so much. I love how u can fish, harvest, have sprites do all your work (by the way my guy is a lazy bum that only eats, sleeps, fishes, flirts,etc.) so that is what i think of this game it is just awseome. If you dont have this game you better get it soon or else you will die of boring ness.

Harvest Moon Back To Nature is one of the best RPGs on the whole planet. It is the most addictive game I've ever seen! The graphics may suck, but it's just the best game! I LOVE it! and also, the entire idea of being a farmer and all that is so original! It's like a rural 'The Sims'.. sorta. Well, still, What else can I say? It really rocks! To be true with you all, it's also heartwarming a bit. I cried at the beginning of the new game. Can you think of a more true-to life game? Probably, but they are probably competing for the top spot. The game itself also takes a really long time to finsih, and in consequence digging you deeper and eventually throwing all the dirt back at you in complete and utter suprise. The game gets a little dull, however,after playing the game for three days in a row: feeding, watering, harvestin, feeding, watering and so on, but STILL the game makes up for that by throwing in a festival or a marriage. And STILL more, like when you try to get the girls of the game to like you, it's like a game in itself! What else can you wish for in a game? Really? I'm talking like, this game game is over all, over the top, top quality!!

This game is so much fun.I used to always rent the old super nintendo one.But the place they had it at gave it away and then my parents looked for a new Harvest Moon game.It took 4 years or more to find Harvest Moon.I am in the 3rd year and in Fall.I upgraded my house once and my hen house.I cooked 7 things(half of them off the Tuesday show).My cow has golden milk also.I haven't got married yet but I want to get married to Ann or Elli.Does anyone know how much money and lumber you need to get your house upgraded again?If you do please email me.I only have about 27% on the game too.I hope the villagers let me stay.Oh and does anyone know what things Elli and Ann like the most?Email that to me too.Well if you don't have this game I suggest you get it.THANK YOU NATSUME FOR MAKING THIS GAME!!!!!!

Harvest Moon: Back to Nature is the best one out of the HMoon series, in my opinion. It's a nice change from all those fighting games.(I'm not saying I don't like fighting games, I do like them too!) This version is more challenging, and the festivals are better. Some people wonder how I can love such a repetitive game, but you gotta have patience for Harvest Moon! My brother is into all of those fighting games. I like them too, but what can I say? I'm a big Harvest Moon Fan! :)

Harvest Moon: Back to Nature is so wonderful it doesn't compare to ANY other game. It provides great challenges and will keep you busy playing for months on end! I mean, Harvest Moon: GBC was fun, but I craved better. Then, I bought harvest Moon: Save The Homeland. After only one year and it ended, it wasn't much of a challenge for me. Then, I found Harvest Moon: Back to Nature. I was then officially a fanatic. I brought the guides with me to school. I started a website. I even started dressing up like Ann! I thought the game would end at the 3 year mark, but no, it keeps on going! That's great! And it's one of those games you want to play over and over because you want to marry every girl and thus have new experiances. I love it. I HIGHLY reccomend this game.

The 1st Harvest moon I played was for N 64 and it was not very fun. About 1 year later I saw Harvest Moon BTN (Back To Nature) in the store so I got it. I could not turn the game off because it was so good. It is so life like and that is why I like it. I got lots of people in to that game and they all say it is the best game. I have played most Harvest Moon's but I have to say BTN is the best of them.

When I first started playing this game, I had no clue what to do. Even in the shop the game looked stupid, but I was bored, so I decided to rent it. Now I'm a finattic!!! This game is so fun!!! I have also played the N64 version too. It was fun. Now I'm itching to play the GBC version and the PS2 version. Along with any other Harvest Moon games that are available. BUT: a note to any beginners. Always read the instructions before-hand and print out some cheats off of the internet first to help you on your way. HAVE FUN!!!!!
