I have 30 animals all together it is hard to take care of all of them but i can do it. I on it 24 7 but not when im in school. I like it because you can do may things and marry diffent girls and thats cool. It seems like real life with real life problems like managing money and having a kid.But there is one thing that gets me mad it when a hurricane comes and takes my crops away but thats real life that is whats cool about this game. The hardest thing about this game is getting the girl to like you. But the fun part is the festivals i like the tomatoe festival the best. I got to keep my horse my horse is called lighting. My dog and hana are going to have puppies but im mad that you cant keep the puppies but i have enough animals. I found out how to get your wife to have twin i cant wait to she can have twin but she is not pregnant yet. By all this stuff i know you can tell that this is my 3 time marring someone . The longest year i played to was 5 years because i was wondering what the girl were like and i wasnted to get to know them to so started over . I could keep going on but im going to go play my game good bye.
| I can't stop playing | | A gamer from Bellingham, U.S.A says (16/Jul/2003): | This game is the best, the graphics is okay, but the but Harevest Moon:Save the Homeland has a better graphic, I like the sound and music, you get more stuff, then any other Harvest moon games, like Harvest Moon, and Save the Homeland, I have the game Harvest moon:Save The Homeland, and it stinks (sorry Natsume), beacuse it's not much of a challenge, and you can't even get,sheeps, fishes(for pets, not for eating), the day goes by so fast, you stay for only 4 season's(spring,summer,fall,and winter) and then you leave, and the WORST part is you can't get married, what is up with that? But there girls are way better then homeland. I like Harvest Moon:Back to Nature! But it's hard to get married, especially to Ann, ann is the hardest to marry, and Karen is the easiest, but Elli and Ann is the best girls in the game! that's just my opinion, most people say it's Karen. Why Karen? Someone Please Help Me, I don't know how to get the metal ore, but I know how to get gold ores and stuff, if you know how to get the metal ore, please, please tell at my e-mail address msollano< remove me > at go.com

It really appealed to me and though it looked gay on the front I noticed the little guy on the front was an anime. Seeing as I'm into Anime I got excited and read the back, sadly my dad wouldn't let me buy it since we were in Asda and this and that bla bla bla!!!! Anyway I finally talked him into it played it and LOVED IT TO DEATH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think it is a brilliant game and enjoy the activities where the town's people get together. The graphics were bright and colourful, any money spent to buy the game was worth it, the music has a typical and addictive farm sound to it, it keeps you ocupied for HOURS and it is brilliant that the game is never completed!!!!!! I've found the game sad (when you find out at the start that the kind old man has died)and happy (like when Karens food keeps getting rejected in the cooking competition!!! The game makes you want to play forever and I practically through a tantrum when the batteries run out and I haven't saved the game when something important has just happend. Thanks for everything guys (and girls don't forget girls!!) for making a GREAT game!!!!!!!!
| The Best Game Ever Made | | Aaron K from Macomb, IL says (3/Jul/2002): | I personally own all three of the main titles of Harvest Moon. SNES, Playstation, & Playstation 2. I know that other titles have been released on other systems, but this is the best one that I have ever played and ever will play. There are plenty of cheats out there for this game, but to use them is futile. I usually don't have any trouble getting money to get all the upgrades in the first year, but wood does not come cheap or easy to get. I recommend this game for anybody that enjoys a long role playing game with lots of competition for contests. The only downfall on the game is getting the timing down for the 1st of Summer swimming contest. People that have played it know what I am talking about. Still all in all it is the best game of all the ones I have ever played. Graphics are good for the Playstation & the sound is not bad, except winter is awfully depressing. The waiting for your horse to become an adult is not very easy either, but patience is what is needed to play the game and realize once you get rich, you usually stay rich through out the rest of the game, no cheats included! Excellent game play and a little tricky for younger people, but not for real young children.

If u name your farm NATSUME u will get no blizzards or hurricanes. i heard that if u don't it's fine but if u get a hot house it goes away. Trust me i know ffrom experience! People also say if u put your dog in you r hot house nothing will happen, well thats not true. I would REALLY liike to find out how you can ride your horse and dog! If u know how please e-mail me! Thanks have fun playin! wait not done. I am only in the 4th year but i know that in the 10th year something AWSOME happeneds. Know i don't know what that is but i hear it's awsome! In the third year u can get puppies! i missed the dead line, but o well. If you have a baby the best thing to give it would be hot milk. i married Ann and she's GREAT!!!!!!!!!! She's shy but great! This game is sooo addicating! I can't believe it! When i got it wow i was never off of it! If you don't know where the harvest sprites are well i know. They are behind the church. They have to have at least 2 hearts to do work for u. In one season they will talk about a tea party and won't help you, well it's ok just wait till the end of the season and then they will help.

Karen:on Karen Youl need money of about 50,000. In Fall Everyday exept Saturday give her 18 wine until the heart turns Red. NOTE:I think that doubles the effect on the 15th day because thats her birthday.
Ann:Nothing Special just give her flowers,cheese,boiled egg(from the spring),milk and try soething nice like wine but she.
Popuri:Popuri is a smple girl who likes Hot spring boiled egg and she likes flowers like toy flowers.
Elie:Elie likes flowers best I can't remember her birthday so try to find out your selves.
Ill tell my fave. recipe that won the cooking fest.ICE CREAM.

| this game is good | | A gamer from NJ, USA says (15/Jan/2004): | this game was stupid at first cuz i didnt no how to play at all, i tried throwing in everything and i finally got in the blue plant and greenish yellow one, i spent all the gold so that was my only option. i messed up a couple of times. i finally beat the 3 years and been excepted into the town, and from what i heard its never ending with events ever year. this games will go on forever till u stop playing. this maybe for those who like games those are like the sims. i personally loved this game cuz it was the same as real life. the best part is really the games like the tamato throwing. this game i got from a relative and thought it was fruity at first and now i am like playing every single day non stop, even to eat. this game was so real i tried some things in this game in real life and i guess giving things to people does increase relations. this game was great but except for the glitches, the dog ball was always being lost in the house. the amount of gold i lost on a festival was lots but other then that the game's speed and realistics were good and if there are any other games i would get it. but there's a problem since i don't have a lot of money.

It is the most addictive game I've ever seen! The graphics may suck, but it's just the best game! I LOVE it! and also, the entire idea of being a farmer and all that is so original! It's like a rural 'The Sims'.. sorta. Well, still, What else can I say? It really rocks! To be true with you all, it's also heartwarming a bit. I cried at the beginning of the new game. Can you think of a more true-to life game? Probably, but they are probably competing for the top spot. The game itself also takes a really long time to finsih, and in consequence digging you deeper and eventually throwing all the dirt back at you in complete and utter suprise. The game gets a little dull, however,after playing the game for three days in a row: feeding, watering, harvestin, feeding, watering and so on, but STILL the game makes up for that by throwing in a festival or a marriage. And STILL more, like when you try to get the girls of the game to like you, it's like a game in itself! What else can you wish for in a game? Really? I'm talking like, this game game is over all, over the top, top quality!!
| Truely an Amazing game | | Bahamut ULTIMA from Ajax, Ontario, Canada says (19/Jul/2003): | This was an awesome game, I still have not made it to my second spring, but I have been playing for a long time and the fun just doesn't stop. There is always something new to do and there are so many crops, events, tools, and people. The graphics appear to be very low quality for when it was made but for a harvest moon game they are extremely good. The background music doesnt get too loud or too quiet and it doesnt get boring because you dont notice it much. Many games I have played had an annoying background music and it was hard to concentrate. There are only minor glitches and spelling mistakes--most of the glitches can help you out a lot. The controls are complicated but you get used to them in 10 minutes and thay are very good suited for the camera angle. you can interact with your animals and other people and they react as real people would. If you givesomeone who hates animals a squirrel or something, he will like you less and if you give a blacksmith a metal ore, he will like you more. This is the best of all the Harvest Moon games and it deserves a perfect 10, but unfortunately the only game I can give a 10 to is Final Fantasy VII.

In my game my money is above 2,000,000 gold, Ialso have all the recipes that can be made but I don't have time to post it all to you, it is over 64 recipes. I married Popuri in my game but I only marry her in my first year of Fall! I also have a child named Rick. but I'm only in my 2nd year! All the villagers in the game loves because I always give them stuff that they like.If Cliff leaves Mineral Town all you have to do is to ship 200 of each farm product and he will come back. If you want to cath all the 6 legendary fishes I will tell you how: To catch the carp you have to catch the other 5 legendary fishes, to catch the sea bream you need to catch 200 fishes and sell them all, to catch the catfish you need to mine at the winter mine and fish in the secret pond, to catch the angler you need to be in winter season and fish at night,to cath the squid you need to throw a small fish as a bait in the ocean and then cast you reel, to cath the char you need to have all this four recipes sashimi, sushi, chirashi sushi and grilled fish. Here's a hint for upgraded tools wish this could help.
You can get very proficient with your tools and have them ready to be upgraded quickly in two days by doing the following. On the very first day of the game (before leaving the house) grab any tool out of the toolbox as soon as you can.
Use it over and over until it hits 400%; your guy will fall down automatically once he is exhausted (he will fall down and get back up after a little while). Now when you leave the house on the first day, go to the Hot Springs before using the tool and stay in there for two hours. While there, fill up the watering can.
On the second day, before leaving the house, use the watering can until it too goes to 400%. Again, go to the springs immediately after. Your tools will all be ready to upgrade to Mystrile, and the game has barely started!

First i suppose is how u get to own a farm. When the game starts you are standing in a farm and a fat guy all in red comes up to u and says:
"Hey, this farm has been closed for 6 monthes! You can't come waltzing in here! I have to look after this farm until *your name* comes!" Or something like that.
Then without saying it he suddenly knows you are that person. he says:
"Oh, you're *your name*! Tell me, how did you meet the old chap?" And it goes into a kind of black-and-white slideshiw of you as a kid. Your parents cant find somewhere to stay and the old guy says he will look after you and then comes the slideshow of you on horses and other stuff on the farm.
Then it goes back to you and the guy in red (who is caalled Thomas and turns out to be the Mayor of the town : Mineral Town.
He says:
"Oh. Well this farm's all yours then.
Then it is the next morning and you eat bread inside the farmhouse.
So...there you have it. The whole game is ahead of you. So what are you waiting for? Read some other reviews and find out what you can do in the game!

I dont understand how some people dont like this game because its a fun game to play when ur bored, and also for the people that dont like it to keep it to themsleves because some people dont like it when u critizise the game so ya, well that all i really have to say, and popuri actually likes weeds so u can keep on doing it and she says thank-you so if ur going after her just give her weeds everyday and other stuff 2. And on the 10th year u go on that big bridge and u fall threw then ur wife and kids find u and u end up in the hospital and then gotz asks u to help him rebuild it and i think u get umm i cant remeber but u get alot of money for helpng him out. i havnt got that far but i hope this has helped u a little bit and im hoping for everyone else to help me on some things, i also heard if u give curry to ur wife on the night of ur marriage u can get twins im not totally sure but ya ok welli hope its helped a little.

When you throw medium fish you caught from that lake back in the thing comes out and says go away or leave me alone or something...

| In Love With This Game | | Dylan from California says (26/Feb/2001): | This game is by far one of the most innovative and exciting genres to happen since resident evils survival horror. The game has great detail into the little things such as birds chirping and people going about on their own daily schedules. Although some of the music is repetitive it fits the game. The graphics are somewhat grainy at times but perfectly fits this kind of game. The little anime faces are detailed too. One of the best parts of this game is how you have no set path whatsoever. You are free to do what you want to do at any time. The festivals are fun and even more exciting this time around but i still find them to be a little too far apart and not as much interactivity that i had hoped for. I am a proud owner of Harvest Moon 64 and i loved it. I wasnt able to stop playing Back to nature the day i bought it. i played until 3 in the morning on school nights. I was amazed by the depth of the game. I did have some minor trouble with the control scheme of BTN since i was very used to the diagonal movement in the 64 version but i soon saw past that and was floored by a incerdible game that no RPG fan should miss.

If you've played the N64 version of the series, you're probably thinking "Oh, it's just the N64 version put on a Playstation disc." That's far from true. Harvest Moon: Back to Nature is 20 times better than the N64 version, so it's time to put that N64 controller down and pick up your PS control and get hooked more than ever. As you know, in the N64 version, you could collect recipies, yet couldn't do anything with them whatsoever except get rated for how many you get. BO-RING. But this time around, you can cook stuff! There's also more of a wide variety of vegetables to choose from, including many new ones. As in the previous game, you can expand your house and get a greenhouse (now called a hothouse) and also get married of course. This time around you can also hold up to 10 chickens and 20 cows and or sheep. Also you can use mayonnaise, cheese, and yarn makers to increase the profits of eggs, milk, and wool. There are also tons more features. You've got to see this game to believe it. You WILL buy this game.
