THE GOOD
harvest moon is a nice game i been playing this game for 3 years the graphics are ok and the sounds i married karen cz she's pretty i love the festival especially the cooking i only won once T_T i only have a few recipes i only have about 25 if u want 2 win the cooking festival try this its the easyest 1 i can think of ^_^ ICE CREAM-exellent quality eggs,exellent qualitymilk,sugar,pot,whisk,pot,pinaple,knife,apple,grapes,honeyand the winning touch the strawberry ^_^ u dont win anything in the cooking festival...im not sure im very good at this game im in the 3rd yr. i put my dog n my hot house but it still broke since im int the 3rd year it broke 4 times already T_T .
THE BAD
nothing actually exept 4 the part that it takes me 20-30 min. to finish 1 day wat do you expect with 40 patches of pinaples and 10 chickens 10 cows 10 cows a horse a wife a dog and a kid it weird that i have 350 fishes but i only need 1 fish food ^_^ I HOPE THIS REVIEW WAS HELPFUL

ok you know how people say that you shouldn't get the last watering can upgrade because it does nothing well it does it stores more water so u dont have 2 keep filling it up!
and if u lay on the bridge it does not callopse
if you leave your dog in your hot house and there is a blizzard it can bestroy your hot house trust me it happens but your dog in the morning when you come out of your house is sitting in frount of its dog house. and if any1 can tell me y i cant talk 2 my baby or give it gifts when its by itself in bed or when my wife is holding it plz tell me!?!
i named my baby rick because i belived some person who told me it would give me a better relationship with popuri's (my wife) bother but it doesn't.
if there is actully any real cheats not hints then can some 1 plz tell me im om my 3rd year in fall and this is my 5th time playing the game for around 7-10 years
i have 17 recipes i know thats not much ie got way higher around 60 but im going good

Hey Iv Been Playing Harvest Moon Back To Nature For A Cuple Of Months Now And Im Married To Popuri And Have A 1 yr. old kid and i think this game is very time passing if your bored with your other games its hard to get but if u try u could get a copy of it i got mine at GAMESTOP across j.s pennys in BRANDON TOWN CENTER MALL(Westfield).so dont listen if you here some one talking trash about this game cuase obiviously they either didnt play it or just are inpatient with cuase for this game u need patients and time it is a awesome game i got my friend hooked on the gamecube version of HARVEST MOON by just letting her watch my play the PLAYSTATION version of it she liked it so much when she went to return it she picked up a copy and bought so befor u judged try acutally playing it ! email me if u have any question or coments cuase im pritty good at the im almosy on my 6th yr.and have some pritty good cheats and a cuple of recipies well thats all c`ya latter peeps

This is the best game I have ever played! I am married to Ann and she just had her baby. It is also only 3rd year and in Spring 14th. Thanx everyone who had the recipe for Butter lol! My parents always keep telling me to get off and stuff but THEY don't understand how fun and addicting it is! I can't what till my son grows up because all it does is what it's mother. (Which I can understand) To bad you can't hold the baby too. One day I hope to have a lot of money and have MOSTLY everything perfect. That is really werid that you can ride your dog and horse LOL! I get up sometimes like at 4:00 A.M and play until well until everyone wakes up. That is also how I got so far!
HINT: If you are married to popuri DON'T give her weeds to go away!!!
I hope everyone is as far and good as me! Though I am a little far and I am doing a little good I wish to everyone have safe days on Harvest Moon! And thanx again everyone with their VERY helpful Codes and Cheats!!!

This is the coolest game. Ive never been addicted to any other game like this- and I NEVER get addicted to a game. I play it every night and I cant say enough good things about it! It rocks- I go away from the game with eyes and thumbs sore from playing too much. Sure, its a little tough compared to the n64 version (I LOVE THAT ONE TOO ^.^)but wheres fun without challenge? I know it may sound a little boring, growing and working on a farm, huh? WRONG!! You spend more time wooing girls, talking to people, getting recipies, finding out AMAZING secrets and codes, expanding your house, raising livestock, cooking, and exploring than you do farming!(but even thats fun too!)This game deserves the highest rate ever
(except for zelda *wink). You must buy this game- everythings kick-butt down to the way the main character's hat sits on his head!!!(Maybe im over exagerating.....) But COME ON!! How can you resist the perfect game???!!! Its for all ages.

tried of old game that kill people and looking for a calm playing game that you can walk away from and fell that you acomplish something. this game i paid 100 dollars for this game, on top of that i looked for three years for it. this game is the longest game i have played because after get the farm up and three years is easy. after that you play till utill you die.
people say it is a gay game till they play it then they want to buy it cuz they love it so much then i am the only one with the game cuz the game is so rare where i live. if you find the planting overwhelming then ask the harvest sprites to help you water, harvest, and feeding animals. i tell you to buy it. if you use gameshark this game is a pest cuz there are over 200 codes. a nice fiture is cooking, marriade, kids, cows, chickens and muck muck more in the game so buy before it is to late.

To put it short, I could answer alot of questions about this game. I got it on it's release day and couldn't stop playing it. I'm now on my 7th year with Ann and a child, that is growing up very rapidly and my farm is prospering very well. This game is by far the best Harvest Moon...so far. It has it's setbacks, like having to keep your horse healthy for a year or it's taken away. You have to chop a butt load of wood to upgrade you house/henhouse/barn. But if you have any questions about the game, feel free to e-mail me at anytime. If you have a question about having a chil, getting power berries, secret fish, minerals to find (like Orichalcum, i'll tell you when you email me) the easiest way to make your baby happy ^_^! I know a whole lotta recipes to tickle anyones fancy. Did I just say "tickle" and "fancy"in the same sentence? Ever wonder why Cliff leaves after year 1??? I know why, but you gots ta emails me for it.

This is the best game I have ever played in my console.The first time I got my hands on it it took me 12 hours to stop. I was so excitted by the completetly new and different idea of farming simulation, even though the graphics were a bit strange compared to other sims but seemed to fit perfect in the whole scenery. I am already in the 6th year (Autumn) and the only thing that is impossimple is for my character to get married due to a bug my version has. I e-mailed to UbiSoft's TechSupport but noone wants to answer me so now I'm trying to buy the game from another country. Anyway one of the best aspects is that violence does not exist in this game, though the music sometimes can force you to do some violent stuff, especially during winter. I strongly recommend to mine, cook or fish during this season. By the way cooking is my favourite part and I have cooked all 63 recipes already (pizza is the best).

I am totally not the type of person to play video games, but my boyfriend let me borrow his Harvest Moon Back to Nature and I didn't like it at first. I wasn't making money and I actually thought it sucked. So one day I was bored and just started to play it, now I can't put the controller down. This game is like a sitmulate to me! When I'm having a bad day, I know I can count on Harvest Moon to make me feel better. Now my boyfriend gets mad at me because I would rather play it than talk to him. The farming, dating, cooking, and challenge to succeed make this game something everyone can relate to if you give it a change. If you don't like it, give it it until summer of the first year, i guarantee you'll be hooked on the additicting power of Harvest Moon: Back to Nature! Thanks Natsume! Also.. has anyone heard if there is going to be one for xbox? If so, I'm going to get xbox just for that game ")

Harvest Moon is one of my favorite games. I bought a playstation just to get this game (and a few other Rpgs I enjoy). The game is enjoyed by people of all ages. It has a deep sense of things and very addictive. I have spent hours on this game when it only feels like a few minutes. The character have different characteristics and attitudes like the busybody Karen, cool dude Kai, and popular-like Poupri, and so on. Farming is not the only think you do. You raise animals including your dog and horse, farm, woo a wife, make you house and other buildings of your farm even better and so much more. The music is even entertaining at times. I've found myself humming to the spring, summer, fall, and winter tunes at times. The festivals and mini games are a blast even if the graphics aren't the best. I think anybody would enjoy this game. Its one of the best...

Not a RPG really but much more of a resource management simulation with a personal caring touch, a breath of fresh air. I love strategy and resource man. to my very core (I remember staying up night after night with the first Civilizations game) but this just blows away most serious sims, which is big surprise to me.
The graphics are very impressive. I own a PS2 on which I play this time leach and when I showed my friends the game for the first time they thought it was a low-grade PS2 game. You wouldn't believe thier surprise when I told them otherwise.
Like many of the other reviewers on this page I originally played the SNES version and loved it, so picking up this game was a no-brainer, particularly at $19.99. All the new features in this sequel , yes sequel, add up to a game with unlimited replayability. BRAVISIMO NATSUME! Pick up this game now!

This game rox! (I would give it an 11 if i could!) If i could only have one game in my whole life then this would be th eone game i would buy! You have to buy it! i fyou don't then you are missing out on the best game ever! The game sometimes hints lessons in real life. (like be nice to your girlfriend or she will dump you! treat your animals nice and they will treat you nice. Life is more fun with friends...etc.)
when I first got this game i played it forever! (that was in 2001.) But now if I start playing I can't stop! If you proably add all of the ours that I play that game in one week you would get about 133 ours a week! The reason I play so much is because my file is at 59% and my wife (Karen) is going to have a baby!
One thing I don't like abou this game is that you can't be a girl and you can only have one child- and it has to be a boy!!!!

If you like the strange and the unique, I could think of no better game for you than Harvest Moon. Granted, I've owned every single version of this series, and maybe I play until four in the morning, but if you have infinite patience, and enjoy the unique blend of RPG, Dating Sim, Simulation, ... yada yada, you'll find yourself doing the same thing. It's free from any thing offensive, it's cheerful, and it can easily (Abiet, for some it takes longer) be learned. There is no violence in the game, and I'm sure that it will appeal to parents and kids alike. But a few words of caution: The music is boring. Turn the volume down and blast a CD instead. And if you're using the Analog controller, don't give up when moving your guy with it seems to be really choppy, it's mostly because you're not used to it, it'll get better. (Use the O button to dash!)

Harvest Moon rocks.Once I stayed up till 4:00AM.I'm married to Elli.I'm gonna have a son.I have all of my tools at mystrhill(the Highest)I have 15 cows,10 hens and 5 sheep.I have all the upgrades except the hothouse.I have an adult dog and Barly let me keep the horse.I'm in the 2nd year in summer on the 26th.I love the graphics but HM3 is better but has a worse plot.The sound could use different songs on some days but it's still very detailed.It has a good plot but has some odd spots.I like how you can keep on playing even after you beat it.It would be better if you got to coose the breed(you get a choice of a hound or husky on HM3)and horse color(you get to chose from 5 on HM3).It's fun and I never get tired of it.I got it when my mom said it look good.At first it was complicated but now I know the controls by heart.

One of the best game ever. Natsume is great to combine Sim and Rpg together. I think they could add things like bathroom like n64 and their human have birthday no like other harvest moon like they born in a stone. Their music is great. I think they should add in the nest game a cloth shop since peoples need cloth, the baby should grow out so they can help the man and if the man died they can take over, they should let us go to other town like every saturday to sell our food for higher price and i think we can keep pig for piglets for selling and goat for milk or we can like keep a bird for us to send message with money for Tv shopping item so we does no need to go to inn or maybe a phone in house.And i think we can teach our dog trick for show to like get money. Go and buy the game if u havent do so

Harvest Moon BTN is an Amazing game. I bought a Playstion just to play this game! I owned the 64 version and I just loved it. Couldn't get enough. I'm a guy who likes his shoot 'em up games as much as anyone but when I read a review I thought this is a deeper game. No senseless violence no boring objectives. Supirior to an RPG this game has slow but interesting gameplay with the chicken sumo and tomato fight make the fesitvals fun and give you something to play towards. The aspect of wooing a wife really makes you believe you are on a farm. Deep gameplay makes up for it's un-realistic graphics. But for playstation, it has overall better graphics than FF8 and Ledgend of the Dragoon. If you are interested in getting away from the blood splatering mayham maybe you should go on a trip to the farm.

Harvest Moon is my favorit game. I could sit and play that game for hours! You get to control some ones life. You have to make a girl fall in love with you. Then you can marry her. You can also have children!! During all of this you can raise cows and chickens and also grow and sell crops!! There's also festibles you can go to! I ALSO LOVE THE NINTENDO 64 VERSION!!!! On the Nintendo 64 version, you can also raise sheep. There are many more additions you can add to your farm. There's also many more kinds of vegitables to grow. There's also many more festibles to go to. I if I had to pick which game is the best one in the world, It would be Harvest Moon for Nintendo 64. The Harvest moon for SNES is also cool, but the Nintendo 64 verstion is much better. So check them both out!!
