Yo man... if ya wan't some action and puzzle solving game, PARASITE EVE 2 is what u need. It's just straight out tight! Especially Aya Brea. Just kidding. The storyine is pretty good. Overall, I'd say this game is a 10 out of 10. To others, they think it sucked because of the gameplay, but I think it's awesome. C'mon it's on playstation 1, what do u expect?

A Good RPG, But The First Was Better |

No offense to anyone else when I say I was a little dissapointed.
I thought the first one was better when it came to the gameplay and a bit in the stoyline. Don't get me wrong the graphics are
a hell of better than in the first one and I not saying the
story line was bad it was very good, but I thought the storyline
in the first one was more dramatic and compelling, it felt like
it pulled you in. What I also found dissapointing was that they didn't bother to inprove the controls, in fact it seem like they
made them worse and it took time to get use to. And another thing that got on my nerves was that they called it a RPG when
in fact you don't get level up only your PE. Sadly to me felt
the game was it was moving along the lines of Resident Evil abit
when it came to the storyline and gameplay. BUT, aside from that
it does have it's strong points. The graphic are a real improvement. The graphics are beautiful and the same could be said for the CGs. Even though the storyline did resemble that of
Resident Evil and indeed feel a bit more like a horror survival
game(and I don't care for those games to much anymore) the
storyline was really good. I did like that the objective( like the first one) was not to make out alive, but to solve the
problem head on instead of running away, which seems to be the case in most horror survival games. I also like that us can buy things and that there is different modes that made it more
challeging and not to mention that you got bonus at the end of the game. Overall the game is really good even though it doesn't
feel like a RPG. So if you like the Resident Evil series and
RPG, you might want to try the game.

WOW! I have to say that this is definently THE best game that I have ever played! Brilliant graphics, great gameplay, a fantastic storyline and so many things to do and creatures to kill! Fantastic charactors, nemesies,the whole thing is just absoulutly brilliant! It's just such a great game!

Three words is enough to evaluate this game,- this is "GOD DAMN GOOD". Mark my words, I'm not joking, the story is soo cool, as well as the weapons. So, I'd play it if I were you.

This is a good game that is captious from start to finish. As has been mentioned, it has a small world and is technically not an RPG, such as the first, but it has a well-balanced story-line. It also has a fun variety of things that try to eat you and rip your limbs from your body and a lot of things to blow them up with. I was sorry it did not have the same type of level up system such as my all-time-favourite, Final Fantasy, but it kept me busy for 7 hours through the first time around (speedily, even for me) and will keep you going back again to see the new things you can buy like the spells you knew (totally awesome).

Parasite Eve 2 is quite a disappointment compared to the first. The graphics are slightly better and the battle system compared to the first is outstanding.
Aya in the second parasite looks like she gained a little weight as well as taking on a completely new attitude. Squaresoft, I think, lost a step in this game. The are in which the game took place was to small. Don't get me wrong the background was beautiful and fun just saying you couldn't roam around as much as you could in the first game. The spells, what can you say, they sucked. C'mon only 12 total spells. No, I loved how you would gain a level and awaken a new power in the first game. Parasite Eve shouldn't even be considered an RPG due to the fact most of almost all RPGs you earn experience and gain levels. Parasite Eve 2 you don't gain levels, it's not that much fun when the monster has a million and 1 hit points and you're stuck with the same from the start.
Squaresoft I believe should re-release the Parasite Eve set as one colossal game. Keeping Aya from 1 as well as the roaming, spells and gaining level. Mixing in the great graphics and battle system from number two.

Parasite Eve 2 incorporates everything that gamers love about action RPGs! The game play is simple, the graphics and music are excellent and the story line is awesome! PE 2 is very similar to RE 2, without the voice overs and with cleaner, sharper graphics. The game itself is quite difficult to beat but it has a couple of extended play options for you to look forward to. PE 2 has some breathtaking cinematic cut scenes that you've come to expect from the people at Square. If you liked the original Parasite Eve, you will love PE 2! This game is definitely worth buying!
