AWSOME BUT HARD GAME |
| Harry Potter Freak from Newark,Arkansas says (26/Dec/2001): |
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone is one of the best games ever! I thought that the music was awsome, and the voices completely matched the charactars. The 3D graphics were even better than that of Spyro's. But it's hard. Like the third stage of the flying a broomstick. I just can't get past it. It's where you have to "get" 40 rings in about 30 seconds. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone is a great game that I can't wait to finish!

Harry Potter? Was the sucess as magical as everyone makes out? |
| Matthew from Northern Ireland says (25/Dec/2001): |
It a word- Yes. I enjoyed playing this game, although it can be enjoyed by both adults and children. The graphics are brilliant and the Quidditch training and Quidditch games brings this game to the top. Harry Potter is packed with lots of mini games to earn points for Gryffindor house. Some of theses include: Wizard Chess, Broomstick Chase, Push and many more. The book stays pretty much true to the book, except for some mini encounters like that with a stone warthog, which is added in for more fun, and boy it is alright! OK- So I complimented it alot, so why only give it a 9? Well the one thing I was dissapointed in is the lifespan. I got the game this morning for Christmas, and have completed 46% of it already. I was talking to a guy on the net and he said he completed his in a few houurs. If you can dont try to stay on it to long. Enjoy each encounter. Dont forget to keep checking back and the flying lessons, as more things appear to improve chances of Gryffindor winning the house cup.
All in all its a great game, great gameplay, great graphics and alot of speech in it, I think thats great in a game- alothought i usually skip it. The best part of the game- Quidditch. Theres also a story at the start of it, with some graphics, but once seen, dont sit around and watch it while your bros and sisters play, becuase it will give you a headache! :)
Thanks for reading!

Captivating |
| Sean Jones from U.S.A. (Truck Driver) says (25/Dec/2001): |
The Graphics in this game are unfortunately a little blocky, but the gameplay makes up for that. I have not played a game that ensnares a player like this one in a long time, you just can't seem to stop playing. The storyline is a bit different than in the books, but that is to be expected. Quidditch is definately the most fun and difficult part of this game, better than any other ingame playing that I have done. All this leads you up to a game that will definately keep you wanting more. I already can't wait for the next one, and the next battle with " You know Who"!

One of the best. |

It was a lot harder than most of the games I've played (ESPECIALLY THE GRINGOTTS AND PEA$#< remove me > at ! PART!) But it was still really good. I believe most children and adults would like this game.

Hi I completed this game in less than 5hours it was very good and the graphics were good, but some scenes mentioned in the game were not mentioned in the book I/E. Save a Ravonclaus Kitten, good idea but wasnt in the book i gave the game 7/10

low poly count on the graphics, name are correct to story, storyline lacks, buttons hard to master. |
| Drano from Australia, victoria says (8/Dec/2001): |
Well to be blunt this game fell well below my expectations, the graphics used way to few polygons resulting in a very "blocky" looking apearance to the characters, it seems to me that this game was made for profit not entertainment, the game, despite it's low quality of play still manages to hold my attention for long periods of time, after reading the entire seiries of books and watching both the us and australian releas of the movie, I found that about the only thing they remembered from the movie were the names of the characters, I was expecting a much greater effort from the designeres of this game, and it fell well below the level of gameplay possible with recent technological advances. I rate this game 6 on a scale of 1 to 10
1 of 2 points for remembering at least part of the movie script
0 of 2 ponts for graphics
1 of 2 points for control layout (simple to understand, annoying to use, ESPECIALLY THE PART WHERE YOU HAVE TO PUSH BUTTONS IN TIME WITH THE ROTATION SYMBOLS TO POWER UP BEFORE YOU CAN COMPLETE THE SPELL, THE REALLY ****'S ME!!)
2 OF 2 FOR SALES AND PUBLISHING
2 OF 2 FOR MEMORY CARD ACCESS, whoops left the caps lock on, but despite that a major win with that, you can actually chage memory cards at the acess screen without having to restart the game, VERY handy feature, it also alows for easier memory hack interfacing, but you didn't hear that from me :).
overall I found this game to be mysteriously interesting and quite good atdistracting me from everyday life, from which we game addicts strive so hard to ignore.
