no creativity | | Drew Lewis from Lenoir, North Carolina, United States Of America says (10/Feb/2002): | i dont think this game has much creativity i mean its identicle to tony hawk pro skater two and one i think it has alright graphics and its kind of fun but it didnt last long i beat it in two days , the sound effects sucked , and i didnt find this game to be very enjoyable even the two player mode bored me it has the same boring games you think with "shaba" helping this time it would at least has something different like different features and interesting places to skate i think the coolest thing has to be the down hill level but thats about all that was cool

| TONY HAWK IS BACK AND BETTER THAN EVER!! | | A Dude from Florida USA says (21/Oct/2001): | I played the first Tony Hawk and it was good,great.Then the second one was even better.But then i bought this one not knowing what to exspect and its the best one yet.Dont listein to anyone who says the other ones are better.It has all the original skaters and some new ones they are:Tony Hawk(of course!),Bucky Lasek(the best skater ever)Bob Burquiest,Steve,Mindy,Officer Dike plus all other new skaters and all the original.Plus the levels are over four times bigger then the second one,eight times bigger than the first tony hawk!!Plus each skater has more than five specials(what an update)plus more new ones and ones that were only for the playstation version.Plus the graphics are AMAZING!There better than the arcade.
Now let me actully review this game:
The levels are full of Grinding Rails,Big Air Pipes,Half Pipes,Whole Pipes,Fun XX Boxes and more.And this time it has every skateboard in CCS magazine!Such as the top brands Blind,Birdhouse,Powell(the best!),Hook Ups(they have cool pictures on em!)Plus over 600 or even more than that and that simply amazed me.And theres no more money crap to worry about,its like the first one with tapes now which gets you better.And theres so many new tricks its like a miracle happend in life!!!Now in create-a-skater you can now create female skaters and also males.There is actully not a best skater though because its how you play with it.Also the option mode is more advanced too and you can switch the controls around. They were cool brands in this game too such as No Fear,Quiksilver,Hawk wear,Vans,DC Shoes and Entines(my favorite kind of shoes are vans).I didnt like the front cover that much though.This aint worth a rental.Buy it instead.Its worth the price.And only get the Playstation or Playstation 2 versions because the xbox and gamecube ones arent as good.

The goods: Unbelievable soundtrack, better boards, Muska get's respect, great enviorments, awesome levels, tremendous goals, frame-rate WAY better than THPS 2, new hidden combos and much more! (I really don't feel like naming them all) The bads: Sometimes graphics are TERRIBLE, music tracks cut off before they get done, those cursed pedestrians! THPS 2 was great, but go buy a way better game in THPS 3!
| the most incredible skating game ever | | aaron from digby,N.S.,Canada says (9/Sep/2002): | I think some of you guys are right ive played it for ps2 and ps1 and i am having a little trouble adjusting to the new revert feature.i used to be all about the big high flying tricks.now thanks to thps3 i have a new love for grinds like you would not believe.once I get the reverts down and work on my manual down.I feel i will love this game even more.i got really good at thps 1 and 2I feel confident i will get good at 3.i feel this a a must play especially for the ps2 its unreal some of the things you can pull off in this game.i like how you have to wall ride alot i this game.I know have a love for jamie thomas as a skater he gets some awsome tricks.when before i was all about the birdman and muska.
