Crime Fighting Mech Warrior Style |
| John Laycock from Attica, Michigan, USA says (17/Jun/2003): |
This is an awsome game. You are the pilot of x1-Alpha, LAPD's latest and last chance against organized crime. The year is 2098. Overpopulation, crime, and a 9.1 earthquake has devestated Los Angeles and the city is no longer a city of angels. Gangs and Drug Lords have taken over LA, dividing it into 8 different sections of influence. The LAPD have been fighting a losing war until the X1-Alpha came along. The X1- Alpha is a versatile crime dispenser. It can transform from a mighty Walker to a highly manueverable Hover Craft, armed with a payload to make the US Army seem like a bunch of panzees. Now you and your hotrod dispatcher fight the worst of the crime. You get several weapons to choose from such as a high powered Minigun all the way to an Electrical Gun, and from Hell Fire Missles to Fusion Torpedoes and from Mortars to an earth shattering Quake Generator. The gameplay is great, and replaying Future Cop: LAPD may help you reveal 3 secret weapons: a Riot Shield, Robo K-9 Dogs, and a devastating Grenade Launcher. But you have too look HARD for these weapons. The game comes with a Precinct Mode, where you play against the formidable "Sky Captian" in a RTS scenario, or you can play against a friend. Future Cop: LAPD also includes a Co-Op mode, but watch your buddies back! You two share the same amount of health. If he get's hurt, you get hurt. The game also offers powerful weapon power-ups and shield replenishers. The graphics are fairly decent too. All in all, I think that this game is worth playing. If you haven't played it, you should.

Easily one of the best games ever made...... |
| Brendon Abbl from Oregon City, United States says (11/Feb/2004): |
The first time I played it, is when it first came out and my brother rented it(that was many many many moons ago) and now, today, I'm hooked. The game has a very well made plot, beutiful graphics, extreemly fun gameplay, very complex, multi-player; co-op or vs., it's just very addictive. I recomend this game to any giant robot fan (like me:Gundam, Zoids, Transformers, etc.). Simply put, overall, this is a must have...or lack of a better term, MOST fun 3rd person robot platform game for the PS1. This reveiw may not be helpful to most of you, this is more of an opinion. For people whom are looking for a fun game both single player and/or multi-player, this is deffinantly worth the money that this costs. For people who want a challenging or hard, yet good game, don't waste your money.

Rock hard in robots,baby |
| Benjamin Birchall from Wagga,Australia says (1/Sep/2002): |
Lapd FutureCop is like Frogger, except that this frogger is packing heat like there's no tomorrow. 2098 LA is a crime nest. recom mutants, lashout cyborgs, turf war, you name it they got it. enter the X1 - Alpha, Lapd's only weapon against crime. it takes a beating that puts an abrams that out of comission. you get a wide range of weapons, starting with machine guns and mortars, and eventually moving up to flamethrowers, Gatling lasers, Frenzy Rockets and even the deadly shockwave generator. there are 8 levels to rampage through, starting with mysterio, a minor gang leader, and eventually killing off angel mendoza, the leader of the biggest crime gang in LA.

Sky Captain rules |
| Zombie from Cali., USA says (15/Nov/2003): |
The game is great as far as being able to blow up gangs and cult leaders. Precinct Assault is the best part of this game though. One can get hooked for hours upon hours without even realizing it. The computer opponet "Sky Captain" can be a real pain in the butt and his witty remarks make you just want to kill him even quicker. (BTW its a good stress reliever) Each map has ten levels and every level gets more and more difficult to beat. The victory clips at the end are a nice touch. I recommend that you save after every level just in case you get tired or frustrated so you won't have to start over again.
