the best in driving simulation ever! No matter how many new race games that come out none of them can compare with the entirity of gt2. Whether your an ace(me) or a novice you still learn something new everyday. For example-tunign the GT90 to perfection i learnt my tune only worked for closed tracks, after thrashing it around super speedway and spinning out on corner 2. No matter what you do, you just cant get it to turn that one (unless you go into a reverse angle rear wheeled power slide into the turn and pull the difference into the apex of the corner he he). I have won ALL the races possible on the game and own ALL the special cars and prize cars ,even licence cars (except the darn gtone 99 on the all gold super licence...(Cerumo CDMA one Supra being my fav) and no matter how much i play it i neva get bored of it! throw another one of this kind my way anytime Sony!!

Gt2 is almost the best racing game I have ever seen.I play it every day. This game is very unique in its own special way.I love the fact that you can pump your car up till it blows its own doors off.Escudo is a very good car . So is the Drag. But have you ever heard of TVR's Speed 12. You must acess this car by winning the big races but Im not sure which one. I first saw this car skimming through my garage. I tested it out and it blew my mind.If you drive this car correctly it will hit 240mph. It is not the best looking car but its fast. So you Escudo lovers check out the Speed 12 maybe you will change your mind. Oh! I forgot about the Drag. That car is also fast but check out the sterring. Well I hope you gamers have fun but listen to my advice. I have a game to beat!

Loads of you people out there think that the Escudo is the best car on the GT2.The Escudo is the car that requires no skill whatsoever to drive, it's like hiring your own personal ps1 cheufer called Lez to do all the hard work for you while you tell him where to go whilst you drink your glass of bubbly in the back seat. On to my car that is better than it in almost every way, the Toyota GT one road car is quicker on the 100m test, the timed lap, and the max speed test. If you have any skill in you, you will probably be able to handle a little oversteer. Then theres the looks the Escudo is posibly the ugliest car on the planet, and the gt noe is astoundingly good looking. My advise it to buy both see what you like the most then use the best (GT one road car) the most.

The only way to beat Gt2 is to beat all the races in 1st place imean all the races. then you have to win all the cars that you can win. then you have to buy every single car that exisit when you go car shopping. then you have to soup up all the cars you have that can be souped up. iv'e gotten to 99.9% i just have to buy a few more cars a soup them all up.I give this game a 8 cause the game takes to long to beat. You also have to buy every single special car. i have over over 300 cars. i bought a few doubles. i also bought every used car. That the only way to beat the game. i have exactly 200,345,789,346 credits. That alot of money huh. my friends cousins have more money, but they play the game more than me. they've already beaten the game at 100% thats my advice.

i think this game is mint cos its got better graphics than the first and its got more and better cars th choose from and i think the first one was a pille of rubbish. I had a 603hp mitshabish lancer evo which was rapid so i could go on a 2 lap race which if you come first you get 10,000 credits and i had a good chance of winning plus you can win cars that you can't buy like the nissan nismo which you can keep winning so you can keep selling them so your winnings doubled. you can also win another car from the muscle car race section i don't know what it is it looks like a bat mobile and i couldn't find who it was made by so i could tune it up. Not that it needed tuning cos it was already 500hp thats what i think of it seya

Gran Turismo 2 is the hottest racing game around! I have played other racing games before but not like this! The game has a whole variety of cars to choose from, from city kind of cars to those supersportcars. The graphics rules out the whole game! The tracks such as the Laguna Seca raceway looks real and exact. Its so realistic that the gameplay and the replays seems lifelike almost! The music totally rocks & the sounds from the cars sound realistic but doesnt really sound all that real when you have some cars that sound exactly like the others. To my opinion, there is no other driving simulator better than Gran Turismo titles. This game can be a great addition to your playstation game library!!! Get this game!

I have been playing for about a year now and have beaten and restarted many times. The best way to jump into the action is to get your licenses and but a cheap car put the exhuste level 3/the cheapest way to got 20 HP/and then put on sport tires. Race in the Gran Turismo league and win all the flags, then race untill you have saved $500,000 buy the opal tigre ice race car under the special icon it says you get 400+bhp but you really get 500+bhp go back to the flag races and turn the page there you race three laps and get $50,000 plus a car you can sell for $250,000. get rich quick and drive a super car that sort of reminds me of the FTO LIMITED EDITION from the first Gran Turismo. good luck and drive safe.

Gran Turismo 2 is one of the best racing games of all time! It blows most other racing games out of the water! The graphics are great! I like how you can buy over 300 cars and then modify them.
For instance, I bought a Chevrolet Camaro with around 270 HP. With around $200,000 in modifications I got it to about 615 HP!
Hint: save up your money for a long time and play the all star race on super speedway if you have a good enough car. Because of doing that I have about 1.6 million dollars and about 97 cars. I also like how in the east city you can buy used cars. I have one complaint: where's the Ferraris,Lamborghinis,and Porsches. It's fun to drive at speeds at which most people will never go in real life.

If you know how to get it were and how much. The game is very goog i play it all the time sometimes fo 5 hours or more my favorite car is the escudo and the gt one road car and the nissan skyliner. The graphics are very good and sound is ok but the selection of the cars are not it would of been nice if there was a ferrari of formula 1 or lambourginnie diablo that would of been very good. well the escudo is the fastest car in the game they should put grand turismo and driver 2 toghether maybe tha would be cool.

Gran turismo 2 is my all time favorite game. What makes it so good is all of the cars you can get through out the game, plus you can build up the speed, traction and tons of other stuff on any of the 500 cars in the game. Apart from the original GT1 (Grand Turismo 1)which is mostly about the racing, GT2 (Gran Turismo 2) is more about the cars and there abilities and limits. This game will also give you detaled information about all 500 cars in the game. Gran Turismo 2 consists of brand name manufactuers such as Dodge, Ford, Honda, Toyota, Chevrolet, Plymoth, Suzuki, Shelby, and many more. Also the graphics are unbelievibly excellent. On a scale from one ten I give Gran Turismo 2 an 11!

I have five cars in my garage but my favourites are the Mitsubishi 3000GT (excellaration is great!)and the AudiTT (racing)(good excellaration and great road holding!). But I must say that the Audi is my pride and joy!! I also have a Subaru Impreza which I must say that I'm not too impressed with the performance! I'm saving up for the Venturi so I'll comment on that soon! I wish there was a larger selection for the Alpha! The Toyota Celica is quite a good car, it's the one that I started off with but I sold! Maybe I should get another and boost it up. I also bought a Mini Cooper but to be honest it was just for a laugh!!! I suggest trying it without any adjustments to the HP or anything!!!

This is the greatest game ever. I absolutely love it. I have earned up to the max amount of cash possible and have completed it 100%. My favorite car is the GT ONE 99 because it took me about 2 hours just to get all golds on the s licence. I really don't like the Escudo but I only use it for the Rally races. I have 100 cars in my garage and the only one that I am really still working on getting is the Mitsubishi FTO LM. I don't understand how I can get all the golds on the s licence but not on the I-A licence. But it doesn't really matter. But I have enjoyed it for the 2 years that I have had it. It felt great to complete it all the way. I couldn't say anything bad about this game.

Now that I have you attention...go out and get this game if you have not done so already!!!. Graphics, Sound, Gameplay, Lifespan, Fun Factor and Originality all get a solid 10/10. I guess the only real worry is how Sony will come up with a game on the same concept but that leaves this particular one way,way behind (GT3 & GT4...etc?) without spoiling the GT image the way some sequels have done in terms or originality & graphics and have become repetitive clones of a game that stands out!.Disappointing isn't it!?. But this game, without sounding repetitive myself, is one of the finest and entertaining games available. You can not get a better racing game than GT2.'Nuff said!

Grand Turismo, in my opinion, is one of, if not the best racing games ever made for PS1. The graphics, from the cars, to the race courses are simple brillant! Their are so many great looking and fast cars to look at and by it should be considered a crime! Not only is this game fun, challenging, and entertaining, but it is also very realistic and at times you become so infatuated with the game that you feel as though you are really driving the cars.
It also very affordable now since it has been out for a while now and it is, in my opinion one of the best games over all for the amount of money which you spend to purchase it! Well, anyway I hope you decide to buy this game!

Not a lot of racing games out there are as realistic or as addicting as this one. Couple of licenses to pass, a whopping 500-600 cars, lots of tunning options, 20 tracks and one of the best graphics on playstation. You cannot go wrong with this game. Plus what other racing games out there have as much muscle cars as this one? Superbird, Challenger, Charger, even the Shelbys, among others. Believe me, I've been playing this game since it's release and I don't get tired of it. At least not until GT4 arrives. Truly, this game has it all. Get out right now and buy it if you don't have it. Go on, shoo!

I loved this game from the first time that I played it. The graphics were actually quite good for a racing game. I say that because most racing games don't have graphics that turn heads but gt2 did. The realiness was what really keeps me playing it, how you kan upgrade your car with hundreds of parts. It is also nice to have hundreds of cars to buy and with almost infinite number of tracks to race on this game is just the best. The gameplay is fantastic as well with realistic steering and lifelike cars. I reacemend this game to anybody who likes good games, buy this game you'll love it every day.

This game so totally rocks haha the best cars of the entire game are the Porsches (RUFs), TVRs, Vipers, and Lotuses...I've won every race with either a CTR2 sport, Speed 12, Viper RT/10, and the Esprit V8 GT, SE, and 350 Sport, plus in my opinion those are the best handling cars I've ever seen, their also some of the few that can be tuned past 400HP well more like 650 but it's ok because they still rock, the Escudo is great but the Cultus is better because it has much better handling and turning on harder courses...GET this game it's soooo much better than any racing game I've ever played

If you have had GT1 and you know that the Misubishi GTO twinturbo is the best car you will want it on GT2 look its not there (trust me) well not under the same name its the 3000gt select info and you will see that it is GTO in Japan and 3000gt everywhere else. I have one of the best garages ever 'Speed 12(809 bhp), Viper, concept car, ZZ 2, gt40 race car they are awsome' and a load of others I am looking for a good old car recomend one please email me thebigt_< remove me > at mad.scientist.com . Also a brilliant FF car is the spoon civic mine has 236 bhp but it can kick cars with 300 bhp well good car.

to me the most badass lookin car car and most fun to drive has gotta be the supra rz. not that fast off the line but at about 2 gear those 2jz's really kick in. but i gotta agree the quickest car is the escudo pikes peak version. that car takes home the whole damn cake. thats all i play after i get home from football practice i head right to gt2. but its all about good old fashion american muscle. especially the 68' shelby gt500. most bitchen car out there. charger,cuda,corvette,camaro,challenger. all the best. thats why this game diserves a 10.anyone that doesnt agree.blow me.

GT2 is briliant! Wonderful! For this game it is worth to have PS One! I rode my joypad before, but now I've bought a steering wheel. Actually it wasn't better, but more realistic. The steering wheel is rumbling every time I hit the wall or/and when accelerate! Anyway, utill now I made 98.20% and 27 gold medals in licence. I love Calibra TouringCar and Espace F1 for amazing rpm: about 14000, what a sound! And for fantastic look. But the best for me is Escudo Pikes Peek for unbelievable acceleration. Less than 3 sec. to 100km/h! GT2 authors are GODS!
