One of the best Playstation games of the year | | Anthony from Riverside, Ca says (1/Jul/2002): | Digimon world 3 is awsome. It Is like Digimon World 1 and 2 were put together. It is also very addicting and exciting. This game has the fastest loading time to go into a battle than any other Digimon game because it just flicks on without even loading or anything. Also you can digivolve anytime you want to as long as your digimon knows a digivolution type. A great thing about this game is that you start with three digimon that have different abilities and you get to choose those three digimon out three different packs. Also this game includes digimon from all three seasons and sneak peaks at digimon from the upcoming season four. In this game you may buy weapons to give to your digimon to make them stronger. This game has awsome scenery graphics but the charachters and digimon have a cartoonish look to them which makes the game look pretty cool. The digimon in battle have a more pointed look to them so the battles look messed up. Instead of getting weaker when they DNA digivolve like Digimon World to they get stronger just like in the episodes but only certain digimon can DNA digivolve. There are three bad things in the game and thats why I marked the score down. One is that when you save or load your game it takes forever. The other is that if you go into a saection that your not supposed to go and you don't really know where your supposed to go you get slaghtered by the digimon there. And the last one is that you naver know when you gonna run into a digimon it just happens out of nowhere. I really think this game is good if you have patients and don't get stressed out easily so this game for me is a keeper.
| Third times a charm. | | Reggie from USA says (9/Aug/2002): | This has got to be the best digimon world, DW1 was good but way too short, DW2 was way too long and boring ,yet had good music ,except for one battle theme. Part 3, makes you forget that 1 and 2 ever were made. Digimon World 3 has good graphics, but they are not all that original though, some parts look like they are from Monster Rancher( the training centers) or Pokemon (the world map) but who cares! The world map is pretty confusing especially the underground areas, but that doesn?t lower anything , except your patience. The in-battle digivolving, the DNA digivolving and the ability to choose what form your digimon can become are DW3's shining point and makes for very interesting battles. Excellent music, except when fighting other people (Tamer Mark, Student Yuki etc.) ,the annoying upbeat/fanfare battle music from DW2's 2 player mode annoys once again. Good design, good replay, but no two player mode. The only thing that keeps this game from the perfect rating is the difficulty. I love difficult games but not cheap games, don?t take it the wrong way but some parts are too cheap for my taste, digimon that will only take a few points of damage and digimon that will humiliate you by dodging you consecutively but be patient and this problem will seem like nothing. This game has a good life span, it's the only game I have not beaten within 24 to 72 hours of owning, and I don't gameshark. If there is another digimon based game, I don?t want to play it.

The music, graphics and gameplays are COOL!Really cool!! But i don´t like the "reach a place-talk-go away again". That sucks!!!

I've had it for 3 years now and i have ta say this game is probly the best i have seen. the graphics and sound are good the lifespan was exerlentay the vaule was very good for me as i got it for $10:00. and this is a brand new copy with a memory card.
the lifespan was not bad(i only just found mirage tower for the first time). anhd the fun factor was the best. i realy like the game thou becuase it just has so many excighting things like the digimon like while your training them they might just desied to learn a digivoulution and then 5 levels up t5hey might learn a new move and than 20 levels later it could then how to load a move. its just so excghting. there is one or two things i dislike about it like how it takes for ever to load or save. and another is like the mobius dessert. by the time i found mirage tower my agumon my veemon and my guilmon where all in the 60's for there levels. and i only got through by using a map. well thats abought all but before i leave i have ta say to find veemon as soon as you enter t6he forest go to the trees on your left he is in there. also to make a fishing rod get a spider web, a red snapper(found in the throught of o0ne of the divermons throughts at divermon lake) and the the bamboo spear. have fun on your games and good luck from CASPER(Casper is my last name. it is spealt with a K instead of a C. i just like spealing it with a C.) see-ya.

I say this because you have to do all these pecific things that will or should result in what your character will do next. More so, though, for the Spekimon Arc... Because you have to talk to him first and then to Kail and THEN to an Agumon in the wind city(now really, who would have known to talk to Agumon without any help!??) But anyway I've been training only my Renamon (as Taomon) and she is very strong, she did beat Wargrowlmon in on Elctro Bolt. Baronmon was so nice to let me rename her Lust (after the 7 sins) and I think I'll train only her for now and then get Guilmon and train to where he will be MetalGarurumon. Good Combo right? Right now I'm currently stuck at the Mobius Desert. I would like it if someone could help me because obviously I can't tell me right from me left. In the (cheat)book it says you need to start at the upper left side of the screen and in the next screen go to the lower left. Repeat that 5 screens and you 'should' be at the mirage tower...But I just can't seem to get it right, so if anyone knowns where some screens are that can show me , tell me please. But needless to say the game is well done and challenges you equaly. It certainy gets my mind off my crush (Brandon Armstrong) LOL
| Best ps1 game ive ever played | | Kuri from tiwan says (22/Mar/2005): | Digimon world 3 is a very good game.In my opinion its better than all the ps1 games ive played and its one of my favorites.There isnt much i dont like about this game besides it being a bit hard.But its a real challenge for any digimon fan.Ok im 16 and i love this game .the graphics are very good for being a now old ps1 game.the game is very very long.its not a game you can beat in a day even with the perfect FAQ and walkthrough.I have been playing this game for 3 years my play time is 141:24:34 and growing.all my digimon are at level 99 and i have 373789 bit.i didnt use a gameshark.i dont like gameshark.it shouldnt be used for such a great game like this because then there is no point to it.this game is very addicting.its not so hard until you reash the end wish i mean is betting the last bosses .and for anyone unshoure about getting through the desert you just go south,south,west,west,west.this game i dont think will be the best digimon game.because digimon world 4 for game cube ,xbox and ps1 will be out soon this year.I still have not beaten this game not even once because most of the time i forget what im going in the game and where i am exacly .this game is nothing like rumble arena.because you dont battle so arcade-like hitting and attacking with all the contoler buttons .this games fighting style is very similar to pokemon.i have gotten very far in this game too ive almost won and i know alot about it,overall this game rocks.

1. The epic items r useless. I wasted my whole time on those and they came out to be the worst weapons. If u r searchin for them, just give up and instead buy a Gulf sword.
2. The graphics in the battle r very bad. MaloMyotismon's teeth look very ugly.And, How did Greymon become shorter than Tyrannomon?
3. The techniques are used by shooting a pink energy ball while the enemies, for the same techs, they use cannons and all.
4. Those blue squares appear everytime. I hate them.
5. Digivolution mistakes! When did MetalGarurumon start digivolving into MegaGargomon?
6. Enemies are really pow! Even If u have maxed ur stats, u will never get damage under 200.
7. EXP is very low, unlike pokemon.
8. Save feature is not proper.
9. No 2-player mode.
Ignoring all these things, I just completed the game. I have beaten it some 324 times, play time is some 890 hours. I played it day and night.Because of this I know everything about the game. I defeated Galacticmon with a LV45 KUMAMON, LV 27 AGUMON AND A LV15 PATAMON. I know how to beat galacticmon with just one hit! And I no all the weakpoints of every digimon in this game! i have tips for players about the maniac deck which is a very balanced deck and powerful which can overtake any team in the game:
1)Kumamon: Strongest digimon in the game with good techniques and speed so train metalmaemon to become metalgaruramon to megagargomon who can handle the 2 jin and marsmon the final evolution of kumamon both very good
2)patamon: ur not gona regret him advice dont load angemons tech because magnaangemon learns them at the beginning 5-20 and his healings ability is great and attacks are good but a suggestion after training serphiamon turn to another digimon and train with him and use the loaded tech of serphiamon and a suggestion is greymon and u either get metalgreymon who evolves to wargreymon to omnimon or skullgreymon to BK wargreymon to diabromon all powerful and hides patamons weaknessess
3)guilmon: the sad part he is the 2 powerful after kumamon but truthfully his technique all sucks until gallantmon which is powerful and i truthfully suggest to train with stingmon till grankuwagamon then train gallantmon and beezlemon when gallantmon gets L.40 which the 3 are powerful and good for different situations that means alot of training fortunatly guilmon grows very quickly

I love everything about it (exept for the fact that the people don't speak literally). It's just, there is a problem. I have fully clocked the game and beaten Galacticmon (1 of the easiest bosses ever, just use Sakuyamons KoundaKaimadara and it will kick its arse) but after, the preview thing happens, and then the ending credits, and back to the main menu. I wanted to know if you can actually save the game after you beat Galacticmon, and continue from there. Coz my disk is really stuffed up and skips a lot so I just press start when them long things happen. If anyone knows or can help me, i beg you...PLEASE do. pss: Get all the DRI agents's digimon before the end of the game, because the actual DRI agents will be oinkmon.
psss: get Veemon first before any other digimon you can get out of your starter pack. Because to get him, you have to put 2 digimons in the empty blocks and only use one level 20 I think. That was the mistake i had perfomred whcih costed me from getting Veemon, Monmon and Kumamon :(. But who knows, maybe after you beat Galacticmon, all the DRI agents will turn back into humans and I might still be able to get Kumamon and Monmon. So please help me.

Its graphics are beautfull (they sometimes make the Digimon, while you are travelling with them trhough Digimon Online, looks like animed cartoons, that is cool !) The sound is great, I do never get tired to listening the games music, they are so exciting! You also may enjoy some sounds from DMW2, that reminds the "old times". One of the coolest things in the game is the aunctions, it is cool fight using all your cash to get the best itens. Even the begining of the game's story looks like "Pokemon", the story son gets different and original ( you will be wondering to know what will happen next while you are palying!). But the game is as hard as cool (but if didn't the game would be boring...), in the begining it is easy but soon gets hard!
However there are somethings in the game that I do not like. There are only about 7 rookies digimons that you can raise (too litle, in DMW2 there was a lot of then). The objective of Digimon Online in get the 4 badges, compete in the Server Championship and Compete in the World Championship but I have beat the game and there are not championship (if someone knows a way to compete in the championships please e-mail me). The game says that there are 5 servers, but you only can go to Asuka and Amaterasu ( should be possible go to the 5 servers!).

Well, that's pretty much what i want to say about this game. you should get it if you have a playstation. IT ROCKS MAN!!!!

The best parts of the game are the storyline because it's exciting and challenging, learning new digivolutions because it's just fun and looking at the Digivolution Chart to see which are on the same page and are so connected, the really long battles that last about 30 minutes or over because when (and if) you win the unexplainable feeling you get is like no other! Right now I'm stuck in only Amaterasu and the West Sector looking for the Epic Items so that I can fight the new 4 leaders so if anyone knows anything other than you get them on the Circuit Board please e-mail me! Thanks to my digimon and their digivolutions for their extraordinary performance against Galacticmon! Kotemon, GuardiAngemon, Imperialdramon, MetalGarurumon, Renamon, Sakuyamon, Myotismon, Taomon, Patamon, Seraphimon, Rosemon and Angewomon! That battle (along with Lord MegaDeath's) was one of the best ever! The body of Galacticmon was harder than the tail but I still won thanks to Kotemon (level 72) and Imperialdramon and GuardiAngemon! If you can't beat Galacticmon then try equipping your Digimon with Recovery Crests (can be obtained from defeating Cherrymon in Amaterasu's Wire Forest) which slowly but effectively recovers some of your HP!

This could have been the best game that exist(if isn't already) but why ca't you save anywhere? I mean was about to get Omnimon and I had to go and there was no time to go to an inn! The graphics are awesome during fights and sometimes stink (but mostly great). Graphics are best (to me) right before you fight gallacticmon (final boss). The gameplay is addictive. In scales from 1 to 10, graphics 9, fun 10, lenght 10, available digimon 10, overall 10. I don't think it is a great game to rent because the funnest parts you get to after the time is due to give the game back. Also you get the best digimon after the due date. Trust me I rented this game before I bought it and I barely got to my digimon to level ten and all I had were champions (weak ones too). If you buy this game your fall in love with it. Why? Unless you have no brain you will love it because of the awesome gameplay and once you get a champion you'll want to keep digivolving! One last thing sorry for breaking the rules but I just have to tell them this, when you have one stronger digimon you might want to keep fighting and training that one, do NOT. always have the digimon on similler level or you'll never beat gllacticmon.

What a disappointment. I like to just use one digimon to beat everyone ( mostly my Renamon) and I hate it when all the other digimon are just dragged along in my group when another tamer could just as easily be using them. I am a lone wolf in these kind of games and i normally just train one character to perfection. On rare occasions, i do sometimes pick a backup digimon ( Eg: Digimon rumble arena: Use Renamon, backup Metalgarurumon) I also find that in games today you are allowed to pick the game difficulty and i normally pick the expert mode and get stuck in. The games graphics are cute but the lack of voice was a disappointment to me and many others that play this game. that is one of the reasons i love rumble arena. I took off a mark for each of the things wrong with it and the game is left with seven out of ten. I have known a lot worse than digimon 3 reach 10 ( Mario sunshine: come on purlease, Zelda should have won that ten out of ten all the way!!)so i think thats a damm good way to make a digimon game. If anyone needs cheats or help with rumble arena then email me because i just rock at that game!!!!

For you digimons fan (like me) and just start to play, I should warn you...You may get ADDICTED to play more and more and I'm meant it.
But if you serious to play here my advise: choose pack B, powerful pack. Train Monmon to get Canondramon, Renamon to get Sakuyamon, then after you get V-mon train him to get whatever you want. That's I think the best combination, Fire-Power, Magic and Heal. In the end power thats matter.
After you get fishing pole, fish a lot! It is great on increasing you digimon skill level. This is also one way you can beat Cardmon and get booster.
Oh ya, my favourite digimon Etemon (weird huh?) is got parts in this game too. But I love all digimon, cool looking or ugly one like Roachmon (if you’ve see one ^_^;) simple like Poyomon or complicated like Machinedramon and etc. Although I still think the graphics is the main problem; I couldn't see clear the sexy Angewomon...?
Anyway I can wait to face the final boss, Galacticmon!
The bottom line is, its never make me boring to just thinking of them. How about you?...

are you searching for the egg of knowledge to get to the northern island, it in suzaku underground lake, (same place were you find kyukimon in asuka) ameteras server.
for the egg of sincerinity, go to that green swamp near bulk bridge, with all the seadramons and stuff.
walk behind the shrine and press X to talk to the wall.
go to baronmon for tnt chip, have tnt ball from triceramon.

| if u havent played this game your out of the cool people man | | Enrique from philipines says (24/Aug/2006): | good game, good story and also includes a card battle system and the gameplay and graphics is the best among all the other digimon games ever (exept digimon rumble arena their almost the same) i should know becauze i have them all but the only downfall is the game is pretty easy to finish cuz i finished it about 6 times all with different beginnings.all i need to complete the whole game is to defeat galacticmon (all u have to do is to attack him with thunder attacks) with my newest pack the one i have now are guilmon,kumamon and patamon(all patamon is good at is healing but he can do the destiny gate attack at his ultimate level so idont make him level up at that stage)if u want me to give more hints on how to beat the game just read this review and make a new review but i could tell u this favorite thing i do with digimons ok here goes one of the hardest part is to beat the boss digimon at every place all u have to do is to follow this when you battle pharoahmon u must have ur digimon at lvl 5 all bulbmon atleast 2 digimons are at lvl 8 and so on but if you are alredy at amaterasu server u can beat all the bosses at lvl 40 2 digimons 1 any lvl at all as long as he has 1000+ hp and mp

Personally, I recommend getting Digimon World 1, it is the best game on the PS1/PSX! All the other Digimon games for PS1/PSX are really naff (Digimon Rumble Arena's ok though)!
