| Arch-Angel from Auckland, NewZealand says (10/Jul/2002): |
i recently read ALL the reviews and thought it sounded very very good and i'm definetly considering buying it or renting it because MHO apparently has excelent sound , realism in weapons and enemy AI. I'm a real fan of WWII 1st person shooters such as RTCW (return to castle wolfenstien).I hope i can trust all the other reviews and i'll get back 2 u when i buy it =)

Best WW2 game for PS2 so far |
| Allen from N.Y,USA says (23/Jun/2002): |
This game is AWESOME!! The moment I played this game I got hooked. One of the best single shooter games for PS2. The only thing bad is battlefield environments aren't all that interactable, like in Omaha Beach the barbed wire is blocking 2 sides of the beach (not talking about the front). Realistic graphics It also doesn't glorify war as a great adventure in any way.

Action Packed,Full of Suspence,A must buy for your collection |
| Aaron Mowry from Palm Beach,Florida,USA says (27/Apr/2002): |
MOH is the best game i have ever played because of the great WW2 graphics of scenary and weapons displayed. Also another great feature in MOH is the great multiplayer functions when ever my friends come over we can play for hours at a time. I think the greatest aspect of the game the the challenge of it all. With over 9 levels and over 20 phases of the missions. It is well worth the money. If you like first person shootings, action or logic games you'll love Medal of Honor.

Must Buy |
| J Schmiedeskamp from Lincoln NE says (12/Apr/2002): |
This game is the best PSX game ever! Graphics are awesome (For PSX), The music is great, gameplay is the best I've ever had on a PSX game, you can replay this game over and over, VERY fun, and the most original WWII game I've ever played.

multiplayer too vulnerable to cheats |
| morgan from houston says (13/Feb/2002): |
this game would be fun, but there are too many cheaters using "invincibility" cheats even after the patch. you might be playing a good game and then a couple of cheats come in and block off doorways by standing in them and they are completely invincible to any weapon then run around shooting at each other until everyone leaves because they won't turn off the cheats. its too bad, because it spoils an otherwise good game.

Best game of the decade |
| Mannon from Cedar Rapids, Iowa USA says (4/Jan/2002): |
The on thing i truly like about Medal Of Honer, Is that fact that ALL missions are besed on facts. All missions you recieve
in the game, Are those that were really carried out in WWII.
The weapons, Are really weapons from wwII. to be blunt...
THE ONLY WAY TO GET CLOSER TO THE REALITY OF WAR, IS TO JOIN
THE MARINES.
Even the people speaking in forign languages, Are really talking its not a bunch of mumbling :)\
Im starting on medal of honer UNDERGROUND now. Ill post my opinion when i beat that one.

Medal of Honor Is A History Class In A Video Game |
| Justin G. from Millersville, PA U.S.A. says (9/Nov/2001): |
I first was exposed to Medal of Honor through my ex-roommate, who recieved the game as a birthday gift. I bought a copy of it myself. The game is very, very good and one of my favorites. My grandma had a brother who was killed in Pearl Harbor, so the game immediately grabbed my attention since it deals with World War II. The best thing about this game, hands down, is the music. This game features a great score, something you would expect on a movie's soundtrack. THis game has the greatest sound of any video game I have ever played. A great feature is the history lessons you are given before and after each mission. The footage you are shown is authentic, coming directly from WWII documentaries - you are even shown Truman's announcement of Germany's surrender after you win the game. The fact that the Nazis speak German in the game is excellent. This game, along with the film Saving Private Ryan, illustrate the brutal, savage nature of war and dispell warfare as flag-waving adventure. The only knock I have against this game is that the graphics could have been improved. There are glitches in the background here and their. But the quality of the music more than makes up for this. The sound literally sends shivers down your spine!!! I am an anthropology major in college, and this game taught me so much about WWII and the 1940s.

How do you say, |
| DanE from Hagerstown, Maryland says (4/Nov/2001): |
I saw this game at my cousin's, thinking it was just another shooter. I was wrong. I borrowed it, and now I know, IT ROCKS!!!
Sitting on the floor at midnight for the third strait night with raw and bloody thumbs while ten Germans shoot at your back when you have no more ammo just gets the adrenalen pumpin! The graphics make feel like your livingroom is the front line! When that sound is cranked, you almost fall back out of your chair! The game is so real, when that solder comes a runin down the hall I sometimes forget it's a game. The gameplay is truely awsome. The coolest part of the game by far, is all the under-cover levels. After playing this game I think everyone should agree with me, move over G.I. Joe, Jimmy patterson is here! To all those Who read this, remember, play well. Be strong. And don't let them shoot you in the butt.

awsome |
| moby says (17/Sep/2001): |
Medal of honer is truely one of the best games i have ever played. The realism of this game is almost perfect.I beleve this game also is a salute to the vetrans of World war two.

How I won the war! |
| Jimmy Patterson from Nottingham, England says (22/Aug/2001): |
I read a review in a Playstation magazine for this game. I tried to buy it but ended up getting MOH underground, the second MOH game. After playing on that game I thought it was brilliant - I was wrong!
I recently bought this game and siince have been hooked. The photographs and films on it are really interesting and informative, for a GCSE History student like myself. I would definetely recommend this game to anyone with a flair for shooting or World War games - We shall never surrender!
|
You want realistic war play this game |
| Matt Boyd from Orangeville, Canada says (15/Aug/2001): |
I was amazed at this game the second i played it. To start off the surroundings and graphics are very well done, they made me think i was in germany back then. The missions were unique and rarely get boring and like reruns so you can stay in the game and not get bored. The weapons looked like real ww2 weapons which added to the realness of the game. They had variety as well, they wern't all machine guns or all pistols. The sound went real well with the rest of the game, especially how the nazis(no offense meant) actually speak german. Anybody into war games should rent or buy this classic unless you have MOH Underground..............

Best Game I Own |
| KRST from Campbell, CA says (14/May/2001): |
This game has great graphics, sound, and playability. Unlike a lot of other first person shooters, they use real places and real events as the background for game. The guns are even real. Easy to get hooked on, and one you will play many times again.
|
All in all its good |
| Sean from Ontario says (6/Mar/2001): |
I played this once at my freinds house and i got hooked... the crazy deaths of the Nazis is always funny. The guns are real models and not unreal. The sounds are good, but the major cool thing is that they take a real war history event and put u in there as if u ended ww2. THey even have U-boats and the V2 rockets and railgunners. THe reason i gave it a 9 was because i beat it in 3 days (thats what u get for being hooked) but its is actually quite hard to beat the game perfectly because there is many medal to be won for doing good in each level: accuracy, objectives met, shots taken, kills etc. MOH takes the structure of the basic shooting game and combine it with originality. THis is playstation's best answer to Nintendo's 007.
|
Put two german thumbs up and i'll shoot them off |
| Dave Lister from Glascow, Scotland says (18/Dec/2000): |
you have got to buy this game it not the type to rent just buy
the guns are the greastest ever put into a game the backgrounds and sound effect are extremly well graphed thank you a big thank you for the people who made MOH it was so good i'll buy MOH underground and the next if they make another and i hope they do i should request that everybody with a play station buy MOH
|
A very very good game |
| Arnold J. Rimmer from England says (14/Dec/2000): |
I really liked this game because it was like you were really there fighting. And the guns are so life-like. None of those laser guns from the future. My brother loaned our MOH out to one of his friends and I've been wanting it back for so long that I just might go to his house and get it - because it is a really fun game, they never really make war games this fun.

A Medal for the Makers |
| Mark from B'ham,England says (3/Dec/2000): |
I got this game without any real knowledge of the game,so I slipped it in my console and became a very pleased individual.I had myself a 1st person shooter that didnt send me all over "Alien" locations with "flying pink heads" flying at me,no,it took a piece of history and made it enjoyably interactive.graphics were well up to standard as was the gameplay which we don't always get from games that are a lot more hyped than this little gem.The only flaw that I found in the game was the map in the multiplayer game.Half the fun is finding the enemy, with this we already know where they are.Well thats all the moaning I'm gonna do I'm off to look forward to playing MOH 2 Underground (It's not out here yet, damn)

Achtung! Nazi Occupied Europe Comes To Life In First Class Shooter! |
| A gamer from York, England says (17/Nov/2000): |
As first person shooters go, this takes some beating!! The graphics are excellent the enemy AI is incredibly realistic and the whole atmosphere of the game is incredibly immersive. The levels are slightly linear and not the free roaming locations they at first appear - however this helps to keep the action coming and avoid the 'where so I go now?' problems. The WWII footage adds to the effect and apart from the American-centric story line (the Brits holding out until the Americans arrived - my arse! We Limeys were in every theatre of war - any old soldiers remember the B.E.F or the Chindits in the Far-east?)
Great game - if you don't mind the first person shooting angle and you fancy a blast then this should be right up your street.
|
Part 007, part war games & all fun. |
| Dave Doggett Sr. from Sumner,Washington ,USA says (20/Aug/2000): |
Medal of Honor has so many facets & levels combined with the sound effects create the atmosphere which really draws you into the world that is world war 2, or as close as you can without a time machine.
It doesnt glorify war , but with the file footage it gives a sense of history mixed with adventure.
The music which is a part of the video experience is top notch as is every aspect of of the game.
