I have had Azure Dreams since its first release and I can honestly say that it is a brilliant game cuz I STILL play it now from time to time! Heres a few hints that you might find useful:
Familiars Lv 99: Simply have only one familiar out at all times, (the familiar that you want to level up of course!) and get it to as high a level as you can. this is even easier by having a level 1 familiar and draining it of mp. keep it out, protect it and kill monsters, the familiar will keep gaining exp. Find a gold sword & Mirror or diamond shield & do em up so you can kill strong monsters from high floors (floor 33+) in one hit. Use red sands & blue sands, this sword & shield doesn't rust nor does the trained wand which you can also do up. then keep killing until you've had enough and leave the tower. when you go back into the tower, drain the familiar of mp without killing anything & repeat until you've had enough. If you do this enough times when you kill a monster with that familiar active it will gain a massive exp boost. simply use mazarr seeds to finish it off. Use manoevas fused with cyclones to morph into drained barongs for more items, but put the manoeva/barong clone back in the bag before you drain its mp and it will still have the mp it had before you morphed it into the barong. Repeat until you get a Roche fruit and throw it at the barong to get a barong egg. Fuse barong with cyclone and raise max mp with pita's* for essentially unlimited items. (* mp must be at full, feed familiar pita to raise max mp by 1. this can also be done with weadog meat and medicinal herbs. only medicinal herbs found in the tower though.) If I had more time I would tell you more things but I don't so it will have to wait till next time. Question: What are the circumstances you have to be in to see guys ghost on floor 30ish and is there any way to complete the game with an alternate ending that doesn't envolve killing Beldo?

Well, the newest review most likely. Anyways, I've been playing this game since it first came out, seen nearly every familar as well, besides the few rogue ones I've been unable to corner down in the mosnter tower, I'm on my way to it all though.
My favourite part of the game however, would be strengthing my equipment, especially my seraphiem sword, and diamond shield. Money though is far to easy to gather, with a keen eye and timing you can get the jackpot from the casino everytime. (I usually just do it twice to get the upgrades I need, or purchase more things for my house.)
My absolute favourite part of Azure Dreams however is fusion, with the right combination you can take a level 10 monster and climb into the 30th floor of the mosnter tower, Though getting the familars needed for it is a little more tricky than making them fuse. ^.~
I have also seen nearly everything of the game, even though I've played it for many years now. Quite possibly because I search for different things with each game. The current one I am on now however is taking just one girlfriend (whoot) and attaining the highest level with a team of three familar's.

This game is great, i have been playing it for a few years now, and still haven't finished it! The highest level i have been up to is floor 33 of the tower, my familiar always ends up dying before i can carry on. I've heard about that Beldo guy, i don't think i'll ever reach floor 40!I own the game, I bought it for only $10, very cheap. The sound is awsome but the graphics could be better of course. I love this game and reccomend it to any rpg lover. I have all the girls hooked on me! =) Could anyone give me some tips on reaching the top floor, ive tried EVERYTHING but I still end up having to use a wind crystal when I'm surrounded by STRONG monsters. My kewne is only level 36 and I have a load of monsters but they are all level 1! =( HELP!

This is by far my favorite game of all time. The idea of multiple story lines is great, being able to customise your house and even your town was mind blowing. I just cant get oveer it. Whenever I'm bored or have just beaten one game and I'm waiting for another, this is a game i can just pick up and beat, again. There is a huge variety of companions you can have and every time I play it, I come across a new one. There are even some that can change as the game progresses. I WAS SHOCKED! Due to it's age, the graphics aren't the best, but the gameplay and storylines easily make up for them. Not that they were bad for it's origional release date, they just cant compare to todays advanced graphics. For the past few years, there has been a hole in my heart. I have begun thinking how great it would be if someone would come out with a sequal. I pray for that day, and if or when it comes my life will be complete. Azure Dreams was one of the first games I really got into and loved, and it will probably be the game I play in the hospital before I die..... unless there is a sequal, of course.

I have beaten this game a few times, but I just cannot stop playing it.I am trying to get an egg from one of the top floors. The graphics arent all that great, but the music, and all of the different story lines and just the whole awesome set-up of the game play is more than efficient.It is a game to be played by everyone at least once. I can only hope and dream that sony will have the brains to continue on in there giant stride of generic and addicting series of Azure Dreams. Make number 2 please!!!!!

Okay... Im Not The Only one who Thinks The Game Is The BEST RPG Stratagy Ever.. I started The game In 1998 And lost it :'( Now 5 years later i have it once again (if you have this game Take CARE It will pay off) I think its Addictive and Beautifuly Designed. The Music Is Very Unique and -for the first Time 4 any Rpg- Not annoying, The Magic rather looks like its element and its easy for all to learn Gradualy How to master The Tower and its ever changing Rooms =^.^= I find this Very Cool, Its not Dull or blain.. The Back ground always Moving and The Monsters aren't Generic- it has its own Story and Multi-ways... Yeah im a girl and i love this - Including All those g/f's 'hero' Can Get wow what a player -lol- Its Fun also to make Ghosh Mad -hehe- he deserves it... All About i think This game is an excelent Blind of Music Graphics Humor and Fighting- an all around Game that deserves A Sequal!!! The gameplay is amazing- its changing always before you- but its also following a very original stratagy played out to you- taking it all in is Overwelming i love ALL the monsters 'demon/familares' This game seems Based On Using the pentagram -which i find amusing- my ratings are as followed:
Value: Priceless
Graphics: Good
Sound: Great
Gameplay: Priceless- amazing
Fun Facter: anyone will love this game -excellent

this game is awsome.It itreges me to see a game that, not only has interesting characters but also multiple story lines. The graphics arent that great, but easily swayed with all the girls in nice bathing suits at the pool, the anime (though somewhat short) is also nice to see. Im glad sony had enough taste to put at least one good game out there. for me this is still a game im playing today,(im trying to go out with every women in the game) If every one that would of bought this game did we would already have an azure dreams 2!, this makes kinda mad knowing there may never be a sequel nor another game like this one. At least we that do have it can hope right? AND if you dont have this game but do play RPGs then i suggest that you go get yourself a copy because supporting random-maps, multiple ending games could increase the number of them out there.I personally think that this game should be every major Rpg player top ten.

Azure dreams combines a strategic AND luck based experience.Its very addictive and you will soon find yourself playing it into the wee hours of the morning.The game itself finds you inside of a tower full of treasure and monsters.The object to reach the top.BUT it doesent stop there this is what shoots up its replay value TO A PERFECT 10.Even after you reach the top you are on a quest to collect all the monsters in the tower.(known as "familiars" in the game.)Now this is where the annoyince comes in, the 40 floors are always randomly made up and finding the eggs which contain the familiars is so hard even if you rescale all 40 levels you may only find 4-8 eggs and if you die you lose EVERYTHING you entered the tower with and everything you found inside of it.THIS INCLUDES THOSE PRECIOUS EGGS.

I never finished the game but I have to say that it truly is the best game. I don't own it, I only rented it and now i'm paying
for it since it simply CANNOT be found.:( The Music, The Graphics and that little monster (wasnt his name Kewne?) are all great, there's a ton of jokes. The choices of conversation
& what to do are great also! I really wish I had this game, send me an e-mail to let me know if there is a copy left. I can't order over Internet so I need to have it sent to me, I don't even know what the price is! Thanks for your help.

Azure Dreams is an RPG like no other. The FMV graphics are pure and smooth. Music Score was Supreb im my eyes. So far i have Played this game for 312 hours and still have not completed everything. If you havn't played this play it get it
