aint bad at all32472

Dan from Denver says (26/Sep/2003):
The game itself I say isnt bad. It doesnt follow alot of the rules of the actualy card game but its still fun. I did have problem untill I started trading with the new game files that I started on a different memory card but that wasnt untill I beat the second high mage. As for people looking to get batter cards all I can say is to keep starting new game files on a different mmemory card and trading the good ones to your game file or just keep building up your starchips. Once you go against Mia just battle her over and over in Free Duel and she will give you the best cards out of everyone that you have beaten. But once you get the low Meadow mage just battle him. Out of my first 6 S-Pow ratings I got a Gaia the Feirce night, Two skull slodiers 2650/2400 , one Dark Magician and a Curse of Dragon. Just keep playing him in free duel mode and you will get what you need. As for the code that you get at the end of the game it is a code that you use in PS2 game Duel of the Roses. I am not sure if it lets you use your deck from Forbidden or not but I know that is what game it is used on. Any other questions just e-mail me

secret code32267

JPO from Rainbow Australia says (22/Sep/2003):
I have just clocked the game and I am having trouble figuring out what you do with the code they give you at the end please tell me what to do with it. Some one please tell me what to do with it and put it in a review. I believe the game is awesome the graphics aren't the best but it makes up for that in the ability to suck people in. It is great how if you don't win a duel you get game over and how near the end you don't have the ability to save after every duel. I think it's great that the difficulty is so hard. My strongest card is the meteor black dragon and second strongest is twin-headed thunder dragon I can make my Meteor Black Dragons attack 5500 and my Twin-Headed Thunder's attack 5800.

THE BEST!31892

savann mao from melbourne, australia says (13/Sep/2003):
God I just can't stop playing the game. It is the best!

Story. There is not much to say about the story - You are participating in a card tournament among many strong players, and your task is to collect the cards from various people including mai and weevil. Not at all sophisticated as final fantasy, but it does its job.
The gameplay relates strongly to the animated series. It is, like any other card game of course, difficult to learn, many that can be learnt must be learn through experience. To put it simple, at the start of the game you are given 40 cards to play with. The cards are separated into 3 categories, or types of cards including Monsters, Magic and trap cards. Monster cards are used to attack the enemy’s life point. Magic cards can damage opponent life points, increase attack/def and so on. Trap cards has many effects, but mainly it puts your opponent’s cards at a disadvantage. You are given 8000 life points, and if your life points reach 0 you lose. Vice versa, if your opponent’s life point reaches 0 then they lose the game. If you run out of cards, you lose. This is the same for your opponent. Having won the game, your opponent must offer a card to you.
The graphics are really cool to say the least. Monsters look great in the cards. Traditional 2d drawings work well. Truly, the graphics is colourful eye-catching, and exciting to look at and play with.
The music is very similar to forbidden memories in free duel - fluent. It can become irritating sometimes, but you'll be fine by just reducing the volume. The battle music has been used in other yugiohs before. Dark duel stories also use the battle music. For the music, you will like it at first, but it can become daunting.
Replay, lastibility. For me, it is, without a doubt, the most enjoyable card game to date. With over 800 cards to collect and endless duels to participate in, the game replayability ranks in the high 9's. Needless to say, World wide edition contains much fun factor that once finished, you'll want to play it again, even after 2 or 3 weeks from your last play.
Overall. The game is the closest rendition of the animated yugioh serious. With the effect cards in play, the strategy and fun factor is very high. The music is quiet good and can keep you entertained for a while, but can become a little irritating for some people. Reliability factor suggests that this game needs to be considered for play while for yugioh fans, an instant agreement for buy and forever keeps is recommended. A great game.
Story 7/10
Game play 9.8/10
Graphics 8/10
Music 7/10
Replay lastibility 9.6/10
Overall 9.2/10

Beautiful graphics....no.. Awesome challenge..yes31793

Viper from Fond du Lac, Wisconsin USA says (10/Sep/2003):
Yu-Gi-OH is simply the best ever Japanese Card game to hit America. Its graphics, ofcourse as you all know, suck the big one, but its storyline and competitive nature is great. When i bought the game in 2001 I thought i would play it for a week or 2 and throw it away because it was either to easy or to lame. NOPE. I still am playing it all the time and cant seem to find the time to do ANY important stuff. The game starts out fun and easy and then gets even more enjoyable while its gets harder and harder. The consept of a game almost kills you to a certain point because you want this card ans then this one, accumulating the best hand in the game. I HAVE RECENTLY CAPTURED EVERY SINGLE CARD IN THIS GAME AND MY HAND IS UNSTOPPABLE - THE GAME IS NOW EVEN BETTER BECAUSE I CAN MOK SETO 3 AND DEFEAT HIM IN 2 TURNS.Two every Yu-Gi-Oh gamer out thier keep playing and who will feel great every time you demolish an opponent.
Ty - this is Viper signing out...

yugi yuugi yuuuuuugi cool31599

digiridoo from player from the uk says (4/Sep/2003):
yugioh is a pretty cool game full of mad suprises ive had it for about 2 weeks and im already sucked into it. its pretty annoying if you don't have the hang of it but play it for about 2 hours and you just cant stop. there are tons of cool cards to select from and theres even a story line for you to work through and after you complete the game you can still play everyone you fought in free duel! but the best touch has to be being able to fuse cards together like combine Barrel Lilly and Mech Mole Zombie to get pupking the ultimate zombie. overall i think its a superb game even if the graphics do suck.

Great game but V.hard31237

Tom W. from Sussex England says (29/Aug/2003):
I think that this game is great and i can play it for hours i dont have any great cards but i can make thtd pretty easy but i cant get past seto 2nd hes just to bloody hard! so i think if they toned the game down a bit it would have got a 10 from me.
but i think for its time the graphics are pretty good and the 3d battles are an extra added bonus its a good game and yu-gi-oh fans should buy it now.

This game almost isn't worth urinating on!!!!!!!!30795

Ty from Oregon, USA says (22/Aug/2003):
This game is so easy it isn't even funny! They just slapped random players in the game for you to duel! I would rather lubricate a twinkie and shove it up my a$$ than play this game! They don't even use correct dueling rules! The graphics look like paper figures! For those of you who have already bought it, do not fret, it can be used as a coaster! It also makes a great frisbee!

Love It!30678

Jason from Somerville Massachusetts says (21/Aug/2003):
I bought this game about a year ago and I was totally into it, and still now. My strongest cards are the Meteor B. Dragon, skull knight, curse of dragonx2, dark magicianx4, and Great Mothx3. I got these cards in four hours all thanks to the Meadow mage and the forest mage. When u play the forest mage, u will probably get a great moth around ur 35th duel in the free duel. Simon dude with also give u a great moth if u beat him around 80 times in the Power S mode. Oh yeah, I got this cards from the Meadow Mage by my 80th duel

Buy This Game!!!30693

Anthony Sanchez from california says (21/Aug/2003):
forbidden memories is one of the best yugioh games I ever played although the only card I need now is the blue eyes ultimate dragon. One reason I didnt give it 10 is for there are no effects. Although their are some bad effects they can make the game much more funner. Although in password mode i think some cards are a litlle over rated like summoned skull all 9's over all i give forbidden memories a 9 star rank. Another reason i gave it a 9 is beacuse the graphics arent really up to date but the fun factor make up for the downfall for the graphics. Overall this game is great!!
