Though quite fun, it is very annoying! | | Tom Brookes from Worcester, England says (26/Apr/2003): | Rayman was the first game a a long series that has sold thousands of copies wordlwide, which is no surprise to me.
The graphics were crisp and attractive, as were the environments and characters. Sadly, the environments were somtimes repetetive and boring. Yes, the worlds all had unique designs and had a lot of movement on screen, but the fact that they all made you do the same thing over and over was somewhat dissapointing.
The sound, on the other hand, was spectacular. Every action had a sound, as did each ally and enemy (which helped add a few tactics). The music was well composed and fitted the world in which it was layed at. One minor complaint about the music was that several of the songs were short, so you would end up listening to it repeatedly. That said, the sound and music were both great.
Sadly, Rayman was not all good. My major problem with it was that it was immensely frustrating and made you scream at the top of your lungs when you once again die on one of the levels. You would try to make your charcater perform somthing, but somtimes he would not respond. That, was sadly another problem: the conrol. Though allowing for a variety of actions to be performed, the controls could have been tighter in order to add to the little control that you have.
Overall, Rayman is a good game, but may get frustrating and boring after a few months with it, so rent it before you spend your money. But if you like the Rayman series, and do not mind the silly plot that this game suffers from, you will love it.
| Rayman, the greatest playstation man who can't swim | | Below from England West yorkshire says (10/Dec/2000): | I think Rayman is a great game and the shops should have more copies. It is very hard with loads of levels and fun for all ages. I myself only got to the last levels with a cheat code!!!
I think Rayman is a really cool game and people should buy it to find out how cool.
This game will give you days of good fun!!!
| the most colourful ps1 game to star a guy with no limbs | | toli B (ff7 tipsmaster) from britain says (30/Jul/2001): | Yep, it's ANOTHER platformer. Although this game doesn't have many new ideas, it's still a visually awesome and entertaining game. My personal advice is to borrow it off a friend instead of buying it yourself, coz it's a one time only game that you will necer go back to once completed. good fun while it lasts, though.
