How to beat the first phase |

ok when u are starting the second phase in two player mode you need to use the Barrett or something like that it is another type of sniper rifle, you should use the last scope that they offer when you use it everything is orangish you want to crouch right a way and set up everything you need to turn on the scope and scan the area you should be able to see several eneimis in the distant and around pick them off and every so often stop and scan for more so that you are able to get them before they see you. as soon as you get to the aircraft you need to have player 2 cover you while you get the device and blow up the aircraft then you need to make a run for it u should head to the upper northeast corner you will enter a valley like area u need to take out any opposition around the artillery guns there are 2 or three as soon as you blow them up wait for the helicopter. The is a very difficult game but if you start a level try to remeber and mark in your mind were the enimeis and objectives are you will be able to beat it.

enter "rockstar" as a name then when you start playing press start then toggle down to "invonerability" and press on it. It should say "on", then toggle up to resume. (make sure you go to resume) This code makes you invincible/unhurtable but that is all it does.no time involved.

this game is kool but its hard i cant even get to like the second level without dying. i mean i got to the 2nd level but its hard! i dont even know what to do! and plus there are so many enemies and their weapons are so much better they like kill u in one shot i can never get to the third level. i've been playing for weeks! i cant get it! its so hard! i cant get past the next level i keep playning and playing i just dont get it how do u all get to all these levels? its so hard. i mean seriously this game is werid the enemies are so kool they have all the kool weapons like i said but we have weapons like guns that dont even work. and if anyone can give me cheats that would be great.

Over all its a good game.Except in the dessert where you have to disarm the missles,cant figure it out,if any one could help me id be greatful.I think Ranger elite is very hard maybe i havnt played it enough and dont know if i will ever play it again who nows i might.

I find this game very hard from setting up your team to finding the enemy. The timer thing really sets me off, might as well be playing football with cheerleaders as you can't be stealth and make it within the time frame. It frustrates me to no end as it try to find the right setting under fire and still find the enemy quick enough to kill them before they get me. And then to try and make it to the enemy body quick enough to get the freebies they may have after killing them is almost impossible as they are shooting you from 100+ yards away. Could be a great game but just made alittle too difficult right out of the chute to keep me interested. Haven't got pass the first phase yet and i've had the game over a year. Its gets me so upset i quit after an hour or so of trying and put the dam thing down.

This game has a very steep learning curve. The enemy AI is way too tough. They can pick you and your guys off from far distances. Even if you call your buddy to open fire, he won't do it 'cause the enemy's too far. At some points, you'll be getting shot at, and not knowing where the enemy is, so you'll be doing a whole lot of 360's before you see him. By that time, you're already dead. But this is where the replay value comes in. The game's a challenge, but that doesn't mean that it isn't fun. It's a great game. Sounds are all right (compared to other war games, the sounds are dull), the graphics are smooth, the player animations rock. And the controls are sweet. Nothing beats the 2 player mode, if you and your friend are totally into the game war-games, the 2 player mode will rock your world :D!

Spec ops is the best game i have ever played and the 2 player mode is mint and the price is £5 I would pay £45 for it. The graphics are cool it looks like a real place and getting to tell your buddy what to do is just wicked !!!!!! its game play ois very good but very hard i got it today and im still on level 1 . The fun factor is about 7/10 as you get addicted to it very quickly!!! the sound makes you feel as you are behind the rangers and using it with surround sound speakers is brilliant!!! i played 2 player and couldnt come of it !!! overall this is a cool game

I hate all those people who say the only reason this game is good because it is ten bucks well i feel like slaping them in the face because this game is so fun i would pay $39.99 for it.The enemys arent too easy and arent too hard there normal and they play right.Hmmmm.Graphics?Yep.There better than all of those other crappy shooting games and to top it off the sound is great and it has cool levels of snow,land,war base and more.I play it all night and all day!

This is one of the most realistic games ever. It has large numbers of enemies in unfamiliar territory and you just can't run forward blasting everyone like Quake. It requires more strategy (as well as brawn) than many games I've played.
The weoponry in this game is very good. It has something to suit everyone. From shotguns to sniper rifles to machine guns. It even has a silenced sub-machine gun (very good gun for those who haven't tried it).
The guns aren't the only up in this game. Extra gear, like night vision and flak vests(which must be found) add a little fun to the game. Grenades, mines and satchel charges add a little explosive action as well as the M203 which is a M16 with a grenade launcher on it.
The co-op on this game is great. Having another teammate on your side to help you go rambo(which still isn't advised) is more fun than playing with your dumb AI partner. The only problem I see is the friendly fire factor. There should be a way to toggle it on or off.
If anyone out-there hasn't played it go spend 10 bucks and pick up a copy. Even if you don't like it you only spent 10 buck and shouldn't complain that much.

Hello to everyone who has reviewed this game. My turn now. A friend and I have been playing Spec Ops for sometime now. The game does seem very difficult at certain points. We have just made it to Mission 5. The key to the game is to "memorize" where everything and everyone is. If you get killed, just do what we do, quit the mission before it reloads itself. The graphics are a little on the "sucky" side for the PS console, but with a little work, a sequel to the game could be $worth$ big on the PS2. Good luck to all who are having trouble.

I like Spec ops for the co-op mode that is great one player thats a different story its very very hard on 2 player i have got up to phase 3 and on 1 player still on phase 1. The developers should of made it so it is harder for the enemies couldn't see u as well.

The game is great. the graghics are tight and its realistic. but why do they have a timer. there should be some codes for this game because it's kind of difficult, and people will just throw the game away if they keep on getting killed. other than that who gave the name stealth patrol, I mean come on the enemy's can see you in the dark from a far distance. and the night vision goggles aren't very helpful.

I just finished phase1 and am having trouble getting phase 2 loaded. I love the game and like most things about it. except the timer and the fact that you can not use stealth at all. I feel as though the rangers are merely waiting for the enemy to fire at them when they decide to. It just doesn't feel like stealth is something that can be used in this game. The enemy is right on top of your every move, you can't really see who's firing at you that well and hiding behind trees or in the prone position doesn't afford you any cover from enemy fire. A good STEALTH game would be Syphon Filter. In all, this game is my favorite.

The game is very difficult to learn and master.After 3 days i finally got Mission One Phase 2.I dont like how the enemy can pick you off from 100 yards away and you cant see them to shoot back.Its a very fun game but i would rent it before any one buys it.Also the two player mode is really Fun.

this game is kind of similar to other army/special ops games ive played like the Rouge Spear Rainbow Six. THis game doesn't meet my expectations because first of all they give you too much to do in 8 or 10 min. and also, why in the world can enemies see you lying on the ground, IN CAMOFLAUGE (SO MUCH FOR "STEALTH PATROL"), from 100 yrads away! it takes so much fun out of picking guys off from a distance, or at least getting close to them without being nailed. Another reason i didn't enjoy this game is because it is realistic as for real life situations. In real life they wouldn't insert you in the heart of enemy when the enemies know your in the area. Once again, not living up to the name "Stealth Patrol"

The game is tight in terms of graphics, but the gameplay needs a little work. The time factor of the game isn't necessary - it doesn't give you enough time to actually sneak up on all the guys using your stealth capabilities. Also, it's too easy to die and there aren't enough health kits available. Once you're under fire it's hard to escape and more times than not, you perish. The challenge factor is great, though! It keeps you going back knowing you can do better. I give it a 7. See ya!!

The price is what caught my eye. The game is pretty good, but sometimes it is hard to find the enemy, so i get killed alot standing around looking for the guy shootin at me! It seems like I pick up something new every time I play it though. The game seems very difficult, almost impossible. I think the game is fun, I wish you and your friend could go against each other though.

This game is great with one exception.They made it nice and realistic, graphics need a little work, but jeez....since when was a Ranger inserted into an area with a plane crash,asked to recover data from the wreckage, destroy the $#< remove me > at !pit to keep it from enemy hands, take out to AA Guns, and all the while kill the enemy that is thicker than pidgeons in Time Square...in 10 MINUTES?!?! Come on.....I'm sure that's happened for real once in a while....but that's why we have Veterans Day.... I have family members that have seen real action....they said it was a great game....but got a little "mad" at the timer. :)

Spec Ops is a good game for those who enjoy puzzlers. For the simple fact that as soon as you hit start you are slammed with choices to make. There aren't many ways that you can go about getting through the various levels. This is a 3D free roaming game that allows you to plan your attack and get a jump on the opposition. But, if you let them see you, the enemies come out of the woodwork. There are plenty of weapons to choose from with special skills for each soldier you are allowed to control. From sniper vision to high explosives, you will never find yourself short of ways to dispense the commies. The graphics are at best grainy, But the flashbacks that veterans may suffer from playing this game make up for that.If you want to rent this game, you might as well buy it, as it retails for only twice the amount you would payu to rent it. At Wal-Mart, the full price is around $9.50. That's quite a steal for a game thayt doesn't include a pokeman character.
