I have just brought the game for PS1, and its not bad! Its much better the WWF War Zone game, as the wrestlers in Mayhem respond a lot quicker when you need them to. Graphics are quite good, as is the lively commentry, (which I would have liked to have seen in the WWF Smackdown1 game).
But I feel the downside to this game is the create a wrestler screen, I thought it was a bit sparse when both creating the physical apperance and the wrestlers moves, unlike Smack Down1 which gives you a myriad of options and makes your created wrestler a lot more realistic,I would go on to say War Zone offers more otions in its create a wrestler option than Mayhem does, who wants a radioactive man with a bikers head? sorry bud not me! I would have liked to have been able to have created more realistic looking WCW type wrestlers than the templates that are offered on this game!!! And you can't even create women wrestlers either!!!
But on a plus side the back stage fights and the entrances are brilliant! Not a bad game at all and very playable.

I liked this one because it had a nice create mode and the controls were easier to operate. It is hard to find a flaw here. The graphics have improved considerably and it is a bit of a challenge. The only bad part was the fights that go on backstage. I feel it could have been much better than it was. But still, It was a classic game with action packed moments. it is worth your time to buy this one. I enjoyed this one almost as much as I liked the Smackdown series. Eight stars, for a good game!

I never was a big fan of WCW.... but this game is okay. I like how u have to get through career mode to get the ultimate gold WCW Heavweight title. When u are doing a Exbition u can do a Practice just to get all the moves.(why isn't Goldberg's spear not realstic) Plus theres no blood. If ther was blood I would have give it a 9 but this game is cool.

Every wrestleing fan should buy this game.Even if you hate WCW you will need to try this.I cant belive my eyes the great graphics there just so amazing and the sound and play control...WHAT THE HELL EVERYTHING IS GREAT!!!!!!Create a wrestleing star mode is too easy to create them,which is great.It has real ring entrences and other cool stuff and real wrestlers like Booker T,Goldberg,DDP,Rob Van Dam etc.Whatever you do buy this game its so amazing!

This is a great wrestling game but could of been much better. It did feature great graphics, easy enough controls but the one disapointment was the create a wrestle option. The costumes or attire was satisfactory but when it came to moves it kinda sucked. You could pick a wrestlers moves ie. Kevin Nash, but you had to take all his moves, you couldn't pick and choose. The carreer mode was good because of all the unlockable wrestlers, otherwise it would just get boring and repetative. The announcers was one of the best parts of the game. The addition of backstage areas was great. This is a solid game anyway you look at it. Any wrestling fan should try it.
