Excellent Adventure! |
| A gamer from Ottawa, Canada says (12/Feb/2001): |
I played the First Broken Sword and really enjoyed it. And I'm happy to say that Broken Sword 2 has met my expectations and has improved in some areas. The game has an interesting plot that starts you off right away in a dangerous situation (I won't spoil the intro for you). If you would like a change from games that you need fast reflexes and are in a mood for a game where you sit and think about what to do, then this would be a solid purchase for you.
The graphics are beautifully animated and the sound sets the mood with great voice-acting (sometimes very funny!!). The puzzles are not too easy and not ridiculously difficult but you need to use your head to figure things out. (It's good to play with one or two friends to help solve some puzzles). It's definitely one of the best "point and click" adventures that I've played. The load times are a little faster then the original. The pointer stops whenever it touches something relevant, which is good because it makes searching for clues alot more pleasant. Oh! Like the first one there are places where you can die (which is a nice added element to the game), you may want to save your game every now and then!
I recommend this game to those who enjoyed the first one and for anyone who likes this type of game because it's one of those games that are not talked alot about but are of excellent quality just like the original!
