Truly Incredible - Rent it from RedOctane (www.RedOctane.com) ! | Arend Hart from Michigan says (5/Jan/2001): | A couple of weeks ago, on a whim, I rented PaRappa the Rapper from RedOctane (www.RedOctane.com). I had heard a lot about this series (Um Jammer Lammy is the second in the series, PaRappa the first), but always avoided it because not only did it sound childish, but I could only imagine the horrendous Japanese Pop (J-Pop) music which would accompany it. Was I mistaken, or what?! Both PaRappa and Lammy are incredible games and should at least be rented, if not bought, by all of our readers. Unless you grew up in a hole somewhere, you'll get a real kick out of these treasures.
While PaRappa obviously focuses on rapping, giving you combinations of button patterns (a'la the old Simon games) to press with the rhythm, Lammy does the same - but with a guitar. In both games, the music is great. Very original, well produced, humorous and catchy. I could go on and on. PaRappa is great, Lammy is even better! It's time to rap'n'roll, baby! Get your hands on one of these now!
| Sounds like nothing you've played before?Thats why its so good. | | Parappa The Rapper from A Playstation game console near you! says (25/Oct/2002): | I never knew this game would be so much fun! I didnt think Parappa the Rapper would be that great because pressing buttons at certain times didnt seem too impresive to me, but then I bought this game and I was truely amazed. I caught myself humming to the tunes! Parappa has a cool rappish voice, too! The paper thin style graphics just make the game better! This is one game alot of people had passed by, but the next time you see this game, you will have to buy it. Its a truely amazing music game.
