By far this game has the worst playstation graphics, voice acting and rehap ive ever seen. |
| Chebby from Nottingham, UK says (29/Feb/2004): |
... Then why IS it my favourite game in the entire world!?
Maybe it's the music... a decent score of spine chilling cross between bass and possibly MIDI samples :o help bring this game to life! The fear of it... walking alone in a narrow corridor, you need not be informed here of the obvious threat of scissorman, as you encountered him earlier on. And you've just walked into one of the many rooms that is occupied with nothing to protect yourself with in the predictably large building...
the last time you encountered, the music was straight- BOOM! dodododododood... and you were being chased... he scared you...
limped towards you, wearing a mask that hardly looks human made, with his back arched... slashing his scissors towards you... you evaded him by hiding in a box. You would even sell your own body, YES- in that way, never to see him again. That is your first reaction to him... then the buildup music starts. He knows where you are and you know he knows. You can hear: Shing...shing... You exit, hes right in front of you... That's when the fun starts. A lot of this is explained in my website (if now, it is finished. I started in 2004 so... if not you'll have to go to Eric Larsons site at: http://elarson.hypermart.net/CT/mainf.html I think he's quit the site now...) my site is www.freewebs.com/presspanic
come and visit!
The storyline is superb, the gameplay is the tops, generally this game rocks the house! PLUS: I like this game so much, because I have been through a situation like this myself. Don't believe me? Put innocent me in St. Annes in a shut down Library, being followed by a hooded chainsaw weilding maniac... It's St. Annes! What's there to be surprised about? THIS GAME READIES YOU for situations like that, the hiding, the trickery etc. But not the excorsism... BE SURE TO VISIT MY SITE!!!

Let me tell you that this is one of the best horror games that has ever existed. |
| Ramiro Alvarez from Austin TX says (25/Jul/2001): |
This really is one scary game which makes it really cool. The sound is creepy and jumpy. Also it has a scary storyline about a girl who gets stalked by a killer named scissorman who is the enemy in this game, and the one who needs to be destroyed.Well that clears that part but even tough it might be good I cant say it has the best graphics sure they are okay also through prolouges you need patience because there is alot of talking when the character is not in action but its really good elsewhere but you need to raise the volume on the TV high just so it could sound right. And when you get into action scissorman always finds ways to lock you in a location and starts chasing your character to kill her so you need to find a way to escape, can anyone handle that because I couldnt.

Scary, but highly predictable! |
| Rich from Riverside RI USA says (26/Aug/2003): |
This game had potential to be a classic survival horror game, but the silly plot and the poor controls force me to take five stars off my inital review. You don't have to be a detective to figure out the killer's identity, and the silly clanging of the sissors can get annoying. I did like some elements of the game though. The suspense meter is pretty high, and that is enough to warrant five stars. It was well thought, but I think more time should have been spent on the flawed areas. The production staff did a good job, but not a great one. Five big stars for a pretty good game!

Scarier than Sixth Sense |
| Wingman from Ellsworth Air Force Base, USA says (10/Aug/2003): |
The Clock Tower series is by far THE most scariest game I have ever played. What's so great about it is you are nearly always playing a girl with usually no weapons, trying to run from a psychopath with giant shears, and he's comming for you! I play these games sparingly, only at day, and only when I'm brave enough. If anyone is looking for a great game that will make your hair stand on end, get the first Clock Tower.
