digimon world is by far the best of all the digimon games so far in my oppinion anyway! this is because of the amount of freedom yuo have playing you can train your digimon to your liking and the graphics are great too. getting ultimates is quite easy despite everyone saying there too difficult to obtain here find out when piximon appears and challenge her, when defeated she will go to the city and sell you "training manuals" although expensive at 50,000 bits theyll boost your training alot this is the best way to get metal greymon (and trust me he's worth it) and thats the way to meet the conditions of an ultimate without fading away! oh wait dont stop reading heres how to get wargreymon!!!! get a tyrannomon or greymon and train it to these stats:hp:5000,mp:3000,off:600,def:200,spd:200,brn:200 care mistakes~0-3 and weight 55 hell evolve into wargreymon so make sure he has good battle and fire techs this works ive tested it! thanx 4 reading this

wow! i love this game soooo much! it even prised me away from my final fantasy (gosh awk) i love the raise and train your own little dude...like a big 3d tamigotchi or cyber pet (weren't they great?) the only things that spoiled it for me was the repetetiveness...you'll find yourself doin' some of the same stuff over and over...and god! where is the toilet when you need one??!! also the ultimate digimon thingy....never happened with me...the bloody thing just dies...lol....so i give this game an 8!

digimon is one of my favorite playstation games.i love the interactivity between you and your digimon.i wish they could last longer though.my strongest monsters have been monzeamon,digitamamon and metal etemon.i want to look for free strategy guides of digimon or ways to get a certain digimon.heres a few of mine.
Machinedramon:
Save the game when prompted after defeating Analog Man`s Machinedramon. This should be either after or before you say good-bye to everyone in the Digiworld. Load the data in the "Battle Mode" (two player mode). When cycling through your possible Digimon to duel with a friend, Machinedramon will be unlocked. Note: He will not show up in the game when saving a Digimon at Jijimon`s house. He will have the same three moves present as when you fought him. His stats will be identical to your Digimon`s stats when you defeated him.
After defeating Machinedramon at Mt. Infinity, go to the Ice Castle. You will find that any type of Digimon can enter and the entire place is transformed into a grid like Mt. Infinity. Machinedramon will be there with a new move that increases his own strength up to 9999 for every thing. So in order to defeat him again, have your offense to 999 or you will only do 1 HP of damage.
Mamemon:
You must have a Leomon, Ninjamon, Frigimon, or Whamon to get Mamemon. Get your Digimon`s offense up to 400, defense up to 300, speed up to 300, and brains up to 400. It is also possible that your Digimon`s happiness must be at the maximum.
Megadramon:
You must have a Tyrannomon, Devimon, Airdramon, or Seadramon to get Megadramon. Get your Digimon`s HP up to 3000, MP up to 5000, offense up to 500, defense up to 300, speed up to 400, and brains up to 400. Your Digimon needs to weigh close to 50. Your Digimon must also fight 30 or more battles. Your Digimon can digivolve to Megadramon after it is 11 and a half years old.
Get a digivice, HP and MP above 3000, fight many Digimon, have stats (brain, offensive...) above 250, care mistakes below 10, above 50 pounds, all in 16 days.
Metal Etemon:
When you have Etemon, fight at least 25 champion Digimon a day with HP and MP over 5000, and others over 550. You must do this for three days. He is another secret Mega Digimon and will not appear on your Digivolution chart. To getmetal Etemon, use the digivolving item Metal Banana on a Sukamon.
Metal Mamemon:
You must have a Monochromon, Ninjamon, Kabuterimon, or Frigimon. Get your Digimon`s offense up to 500, defense up to 400, speed up to 400, and brains up to 400. Your digimon must also have maximum happiness.
Phoenixmon:
Get Airdramon, Birdramon, Kokatoriomon, Angemon, or Unimon. Get its HP to 2000, MP to 4000, offense to 450, defense to 100, speed to 100, and brains to 100. Get the weight to 20 lbs., one or less care mistakes, and no battles.
Seadramon:
Get a Betamon and get its HP and MP up to 1000. It also should weigh close to 30.
Teddymon:
Get past Cherrymon, go up and you will reach Toy Town. You will see Teddymon there, but it is not alive. You will also see a zipper in the back of the teddy. You will need something to go with the costume, like a Numemon. Go in the costume and you will turn into Teddymon.
Transform back from a Sukamon:
When your Digimon turns into a Sukamon go to Trash Mountain. Talk to the Sukamonking and choose the second one and he will turn your Digimon back to himself.
Greymon:
To get Greymon you have to get all stats to 130, offense to 200, HP to 1500, learn Magma Bombs, and make two or three care mistakes. This will transform Agumon into Greymon. Greymon can also be obtained with 100 all stats, 1000 HP and MP, and 90%+ discipline.
HK-Kabuterimon:
Get a Shellmon, Kuwagamon, or Kabuterimon. Get 4000 HP, 3000 MP, 250 offense, 300 defense, 250 speed brains 200, 90 percent happiness, and 15+ battles.
Kabuterimon:
Get 1500 HP, 1000 MP, stats 200, brain100, one mistake to digieolvoe Kunemon. To get him, make him sleep at the Kunemon bed.
Drimogemon:
Get a Gabumon or a Betamon and get its offense up to 100. Your Digimon needs to be very happy to get Drimogemon. Your Digimon also needs to weigh somewhere around 40.

This game is the. I cant put it down. I can play it for like 5 hours in fact im playing it right now. I specially like the cards and finding all the digimon. Its hard but its fun getting you your digimon to digivolve into someone strong, and its funny when numemon and sukamon eat their own poo.

I've finished the DMW3 game (although it doesn't have clear-save data or whatever they called) and now started to play DMW1. My 1st impression is this game is totally different compare with the 3rd one... and I mean TOTALLY different!
In this game you have to take care your digimon very well and teach us to be patient especially to give what your digimon need. Man, first time I start, my digimon digivolve to Numemon, not my favorite and It's very weak too... And after few day It dead, so disappointed, but actually it was my fault (I don't have to explain).
Personally I don't give too much attention on graphic or sound. The graphic is good, shifting from day and night or else, design or when battle, in fact, I think its one of the best and better than the 3rd. But for sound; I didn't hear music like on DMW3 except sound effect or when battle.
But my point is, this game it not like a RPG (DMW3 genre) game and it doesn't work that way on how to get stronger or your favorite digimon, basically it is very steady and very slow, and it's remind you of learning from a mistake; not to repeat the mistake again. And top of all is learning to LOVE your digimon... I blame myself not too like Numemon >_<
I give this game score 9, and not 10 simply because the digi's character it based on early season 01 anime series and not the latest one but somehow this is the Digimon game should be.
My advice, it's OK if your digimon losing lives or lose on battle (I read it's actually affect on your digimon digivolving or tamer level? I don't know-I doesn't that far) and start from fresh or in-training level, don’t worry… IT'S FUN!

Ok, I have just gotten back into digimon after my pheonixmon, my 2nd ultamite died *COUGH* faded away. I look around and see that in all those exelent FAQ on DW don't know how to get pheonixmon. It does come up on your chart for those who are wondering. All you need to do is have an airdramon, birdramon and other winged digimon and make sure it's over 360 hours old and make its happiness and dicipline (spelling, muahaha, if it's correct yay!) to max and pow you've got one. I didn't even notice it untill it started to digivolve. If it works mail me! If you think sukamon is a useless digimon think again. It digivolves to etamon. Of course you need to win 30 + battles so it'll be inpossible unless you have a super sukamon. They are quite good as you don't need to care if they poop in training because their virus level never go up! I tried it, didn't save for 5 hours and I was back with agumon XD

hi its me troy again and its true you can get macheendramon on this game well first of all you gotta beet macheendramon then you gotta go to battle mode then you gotta battle (of corse)you should be able to use masheendramon (sorry about spelling agin)ita a good way to beet your brothers and ofcorse i did that yesterday like 20 times.oh yeah he has the same stats as when you beet him on story mode for you.it is the best cheet iv'e found out so far.i just went to battle mode and try well thanks for all the posting you let me do here its soo cool now i can look back at my own work and all the other great work here thankyou for all of that and if i find out any more cheats i will tell you guys ok?oh yeah im still looking for beetle land so can you try and help me??

this game rox. i haven't beat it though but my step dad is looking for the 5th analogman plus he has 70 something digimon in file city and has almost every card plus he has his digimon chart almost full and the gardian of the lake is seadramon he takes you to beetle island but you have to be a bug digimon and you have to catch a hundred fish it doesn't matter what kind.plus thereis a cheat to get ancient greymon(he is a level higher than wargreymon.)

Digimon World is a great game cause you can do pretty much anything you want. You don't have to worry much about the prosperity rate because it is actually pretty simple to get Digimon to join. Just battle them and win or talk them into joining. To me the toughest part is to get Monochromemon to join the city. I like the grapics and the battle mode. my strongest rookie is Agumon, champion would be Centarumon and ultimate would be Vademon. My Vademon is a master in using DG Dimension as he never misses and can cause serious amounts of damage to all Digimon. It is not true that all attacks on Machinedramon would cause 1 damage. My Vademon's DG Dimension cause over 500 amounts of damage to him and his finish the Abduction Beam cause over 3254 damage to him. Actually my Vademon Hp and MP is at 9999 and all his other stats are at 999. I saved all my chips for Vademon. To get a Vademon all you have to do is to keep your Champion alive for over 20 days and you can get one of the most powerful Ultimates around.( Although I almost lost to my cousin's H-Kabuterimon) I gave it a 9 because we could not get a Myotismon(my favourite Ultimate) as a partner.

Digimon are the champions! If you're going to play this game, then play it but if you want to win then get the strategy guide! The strategy guide has an easy-to-follow walkthrough of the game and detailed world maps and charts. It also explains the game in detail. It's a must if you want to win.

this is the best game I have ever played the graphics are not the best but the game it self is awsome.I had to restart a new game because my little brother messed my memory card up, right now I have a garurumon.The only thing that takes along time is trying to catch sedrmon at dragon eye lake otherwise this gets a full 10 stars rating wise.

I got a Tyrannmon(maybe wrong spelling)and it help me to defeat Mearamon,Patamon,and a lot more.It sad when the digimon fades away.But the graphics, sound, gameplay is damm cool!;) This game is certainly wonderful!!!Some of the digimons you defeated would join the "File City".

i have had this game for a while now but just satrted playing it about a month ago and im hooked! im really far and have beaten the game and get ultimate digimon really easily like megadramon who really kicks butt plus i have almost all the moves so im a genious at least thats what my tamer level sas cause i got a perfect 10 this game is by far the best game out there for ps1!!

Digimon world 1 is the best game ever! I currently have a prosperity rate of 55 and now I am tackling Mt. Infinty with a Digimamemon (from the Mysty egg I got from Whamons cave). I had a Nunemon. It's a shame that Nunemon can't Digivolve into Monzimon now that I've beeten Warmonzimon :(. Hhmmmmm... the best Digimon I have ever had was Metalmamemon that I got from a Monocromon. To get Monocromon, get the first egg when your digimon fades away, and train it to be gabumon then train it in in weight, brains, Mp and defence (only a bit) and speed (tiny bit) and hopefully Volia! One Monocromon! The game has had such a big change on my life. Dezwyler.
P.S.How do you get to see the guardian of dragon eye lake, Seadramon (I think).

This is the best game because it has all the characteristics of real-life in it. Raising your Digimon is like raising your pet, defeating the enemies is like stopping crime.... although the storyline and graphics help alot. Anyway... I have a little tip for ya'll. Here's what a Chain-Melon does-
Raises Discipline
Raises Happiness
Lowers Tiredness
Raises Life-Span
Weight goes up 3
Also, the DigiSeabass increases your Life-Span by 24 hours, unless it gets sick. You have a chance of getting sick when eating them from Dragon-Eye Lake. You need the Amazing-Rod. They are on the screen with the vending machine. You need a DigiMushroom or Meat. Catch a DigitalAnchovy. Then use it to catch a BlackTrout. Use that to catch the DigiSeabass in the bottom right corner.
I'll be around posting stuff here and there. So in my opinion, you shouldn't really sell them!!

I have this game for two years now and if anyones need help you can contact me, I have lots of games so am busy play this play that etc. If you need some help with piximon just keep coming never give up remeber the date you meet him and come at morning afternoon or at night you'll find him. I also have a request the trainning manual doesn't work my Digimon won't take it. Getteing an ultimate its okay eighty percent of the time I get ultimate now am level 7 a super trainer to get ultimate is to raise any digimon powers defenced etc by 430 + and MP and HP over 4300. Most people here need help on Mamemon. To get ultimate just trade digichovy from dragon eye lake and med recovery you will get around 380,000 bits and buy cards from slot machine keep stoping every 10 sec and do this you get more good card this way (Promise) and buy cards from gear savnna to trade to the swamp king to get power chip etc. Now I always get a ultimate just make sure don't be lazy to get money and you'll in safe hands. My prosperity points is around 98.

Wuz up digi fans! I got a "real" cheat. let's cut to the chase. To get MEGA-SEADRAMON!!!!! First get seadramon.(DUH!) then make him one of those yellow poop guys. (have virus guage at max.) Then go to king skukkkamon. (I stink at spelling.) and turn him back into seadramon. then he should turn into MEGA-SEADRAMON. and if it dosent work try again........................ WHY ARE YOU JUST STANDING THERE!?! GO TRY IT OUT!!! HURY!!!!!!!!!....oh yeah I forgot. Digiworld is one of the best RPGs I ever played. It is totally engrossing and worth your money to buy! You start as a boy which gets sucks in a keychain and ends up in digiworld. When you reach digiworld, you will have a quest which requires you to gather all the digimon in the island to 'File City' If you have any problem in the game pls e-mail me!!^_^

I've already tried the 3 kinds of digimon games but this is the best!!! I mean I think this is the easiest one of all. In the other two digimon games it was totally hard!!! I had three of them but I traded the 2 and 3 to my cousin. I'm not really an expert when it comes to raising digimon but I know a thing or two. I mean the first few times I've ever played this game I always got numemon. But that never stopped me from trying. Soon I was surprised that the digimon transformed into Meramon, though he transformed into Vademon. Then I got Leomon but he never reached Ultimate form. Then I got ninjamon, he turned into Metalmamaemon. But that's the only digimons I've had right now. I'm just an ameteur in this game if I had the skills my cousin had I've already finished the game by now. It's just so totally cool!!!!!
