stupendous game!!! |
| A gamer from Oakpark,MI. USA says (30/Jun/2001): |
Dragonball final bout is by far one of the best fighting games!!! I dont know who or why someone would complain about this game. I am an extreme dragonball z/gt fan, so when I got this for my birthday, I was sooooo happy. when I played it,I was so amazed. The sonds are great, and the voices are just like the japanese version. My favorite character to use is vegeta. He is my favorite character in z and gt. Everyone can throw beams and fly, but I love doing thier meteo attacks the most. Thats a super combo that can be done up to 10 times! It just needs ss4 vegeta, and wheres goten? And they could of hade a Vegeta wih sayain armor, but over-all the graphics are good, sounds are great, the game is great. But it could of been slightly better...

My compliments to Ban Dai |
| Chris from US says (22/Sep/2001): |
First of all let me say that this game is anything but slow. Pay no attention to reviewers that wrote those things because it is not true. Actually, the only slow thing about this game is when your character is turning around.
Graphics-These Graphics are great! The characters hair looks very real andthe backgrounds are awsome. The moves like the Kamehameha and Final Flash look very real.
Sound-The sound is good. When the fists start flying the characters grunt. You can also hear the punches! Wow.
Characters- Now character selection could have been a little better. There are like 6 Gokus and 4 Trunks. No humans whatsoever. And there is no SS Gohan. Come on people.
Controll- The controll is alright. The only real bad thing about it is trying to counter your opponents attacks. Very Simple conrtroll of the character though.
Replay- This game is so much fun. It is very challenfing to unlock SS4 Goku (which I still havnt done). Build-up mode is fun if youd like to raise your attacks power.
Multiplayer- Excelent Multiplayer. You can challenge your friends to a tournament or you can put you and your friend build-up characters and destroy each other.
Fun Factor- Fun once you get the hang of it. Dont use the same characters and dont use just ki attacks. This game is much more fun if you switch your characters and use hand to hand combat techniques.

GT IS ALRIGHT |
| Big_DBZ_Fan64 from UK says (19/Dec/2001): |
When I got Dragonball Z GT I enjoyed it kinda. You get the hang of it easily and learn most of their special attacks. But one was that their speed wasn't fast like in the cartoon series of DBZ and you don't feel like you're in control of your character sometimes. It's still a good game though. The thing that annoyed me the most was the turning and the selection of fighters (I expected more fighters like Nappa or the androids). There's like 2 small Goku's (little goku, super little goku), 4 big Goku's (normal, super, super ssj, ssj4), 3 Trunks's (normal, super, super ssj). Some fighters are the same. But anyway it's still a cool game and the multiplayer is still fun and the graphics are cool. The sounds are great (with the voices of the fighters). The game would have been better with more fighters. I trained my ssj4 Goku up to level 55 and used him he was very powerful against lots of his opponents. It's still a good game though and most of you would like playing it now and then. Get it if you want to. I like Legends better. But Final Bout is still great for Dragonball Z fans and a bit fun.

BEST GAME I HAVE EVER PLAYED!! |
| A gamer from San Diego, California, USA says (22/Mar/2002): |
Dragonball GT Final Bout is by far the best game I have ever played. It has many characters and many secret characters. It even has Ubuu as a secret character!! The first time I played this game I thought,"Wow, I have to get this game!!" It is a tough game that is still an easy game to play. It is cool how many different combos and moves that you can do in it, and you can always find somehting out about it that you never knew. I have never played DBZ Legends or Ultimate Battle 22, so I can't compare it to them, but I m sure Dragonball GT Final Bout is much better. It has many different modes, such as training, versus, build-up, tournament, and one player modes, all being different yet fun. I have hardly played this game but I am sure that I will like it for many years. The best part about the game is that you can keep on playing it, but it won't make you bored. I recommend buying the Japanese version, instead of paying much more for the American version, if you decide to get it. The Japanese version has better music anyways, even though you get so involved in the game you don't notice it, and the music doesn't become a nuisance, as in some games. This game is definately the best game I have ever played!!

The impecunious game |
| Darren from Chicago Illinois (ill noise) USA says (10/May/2002): |
Many here have said that Final Bout is a great game. It's not, take it from me. It takes awhile just to land a punch or kick. The characters are slow as heck and it takes them a long time just to walk a couple of steps. This makes the game boring. It will bore you. If this game auctually doesn't bore you then you must like anything. You'll have more excitement picking up dead rats then this game. If you are the ultimate DBZ fan then buy it. I can only play this game ever once in a while. The fights can be boring. The only thing good about Final bout is that Vegetto is on it. The other two competitors, Legends and Battle 22 are far superior. To recapitulate, don't buy this game unless you're desperate. This is one officious game. Lethargic characters enervates this game's value.

i love the game but it could imrove |
| vedel from vedela atlantis says (16/Sep/2002): |
I it love the game and it dose improve the way we see the program, but if they were to use the english voices in the game it would be more beleve able, but the grafix is good and so are the moves that are used. and if they used some of the old "character" it woud be good eg; number 18, Gotenks, little, Gohan, Vedel (not me) and may be older eg; Pan about 16 years old and Trunks and Goten the same. but othe than that i adore the game and i would love to be a "character" in the program

| Thor from Radford says (19/Oct/2002): |

don't kid yourselves, dbgt wasn't good at all |
| The Ronnerman from atl, ga says (9/Dec/2002): |
c'mon guys. anyone who has played this game and has any sense knows it's not good. I bought the english version new in 97 and although the voiceovers (and inclusion of lv 4 goku) was kinda neat, gameplay and graphics were horrible evan for their day. ppl think it's cool cause they have a mod chip and they think they have somehting special b/c they have an import game, when the english version is much harder to find...I bought this game new for $34 and sold it this year for $70 cash...I made out like a bandit even tho I know it's worth more...I gave it a 4 cause it IS dragonball GT after all, but that's about it.

Enjoyable |
| Damien from USA, New York says (13/Dec/2002): |
Well, Introducing DBGT too DBZ fans was great, I myself enjoyed this game alot. I would have enjoyed it more if my game didnt come messed up in the mail, my game had no training mode or Freeza and Picollo... but, Thems the brakes! overall the graphics amazed me and I love the intro. The people hired too do the voices did a horable job with Vegeta and Gokus voice so... i gave a minus 1 for that. I liked how they did life with 2 life bars, so i added one for that. This game although isnt a game you could play 25 times and still be loving it so.... thats my review

defineltly the best dragonball z game on ps1 |
| A gamer from kent says (1/Jan/2003): |
this is really good but the people say things in japaniese i cant understand a thing but that doesnt matter i thing the intro is fab the graphics look good and the best thing is that you can build up your character my ss4 goku has 999,999,999
battle points and the other is at level 100, but sure they could create another dragonball z game on ps1 i mean is ps1 really rubbish i think ps1 is better than ps2 the other game should have realistic graphics 3d models and transformation into ssj in battle and more characters such has androids, and with sagas nevertheless i still think that dragonball final bout.

A game that will interest non-fans and fans alike. |
| Ben Chambers from London,USA says (5/Jan/2003): |
I decided to buy Dragonball Final Bout after winning some computer game vouchers. I found a game that was very different from your average beat-em-ups. The sound is very real and speech is satisfying(when they say Kamehameha, etc.) the gameplay is simple and combos are easy to master.
However the game was a little too easy. My brother and I completed it in 2 hours. It was still fun though.
People should enjoy this simple game , a decent beat-em-up for your money.

Tis a swell game.. |
| Marco from Virginia, USA says (16/Jan/2003): |
i'm gonna copy that one other guy. i have the japanese version of the game, if anybody knows how to save the game (its starting to get tiring beating it 9 times in a row for gotenks and like 20 for gogeta) (on hard mode) (practically perfect game). so if you know how to save the game can you please email me at aq22192< remove me > at aol.com ? just in case there any new Final Bout gamers out there, if you wanna get all the characters (except for gogeta and gotenks), wait til right after the movie intro, and goku shows up (little words and date at bottom) press --> <-, down up, (twice) or untill you hear a bleep. then press triangle 9 times, and press X 11 times. (do this fast or it will start loading) peace then.

average but fun |
| whitinguk from england says (24/Jan/2003): |
it was an average game and i wish they have bought the american game over considering i have a copy one which i can understand. they should have said that you could only save up on build up mode! how do i get ssj4 goku and any other characters apart from veggeto etc that you get when you complete it on hard! let me know!

This game deserves- at the very most-7/10 |
| David Leeming from Cleveland, England says (8/Feb/2003): |
This game sucks big time! Im a major dbz fanatic, but still, i think this game is absolute crap! The Japanese version sounds wiered- they all have dead high pitched voices, this sounds wiered to the fans that watch it on tv. The characters are WAY too slow, even ssj4 Goku! It is impossible to work out where to go on the main menu, and when the characters do the energy beams, you cant read what you press to counter them. ps, if anyone could tell me HOW you counter them OR how to do those major combos that end in an unblockable energy blast, pls email me - david_leeming< remove me > at hotmail.com it will be much obliged!

a brilliant game |
| Eve Speers from England, liverpool says (22/Apr/2003): |
Dragon Ball Final Bout is an excellent game with stunning graphics and thrilling game-play. The tournament and Build-Up modes are fantastic and it has the best attacks out of all the DB games. I really liked this game and it is second-best to UB22 and I totally recommend to every DB fan. If you want to know how to use Goku's spirit bomb you have to press forward, back, down, up and then triangle.
