This game bites! There's only two codes you can use. Hurcule and master roishi can't even fly! Why in the wrold sdid they put them in the game. It's too hard diong attacks that look like punny fire balls. The only reason i put a five there becase you can be people from the Buu saga. It's even too hard to do a kamaha wave. And the graphics stink. There's only like five backgrounds: Kami's lookout, grass island,dessert, this realy dark place, Namek,and a banged up city. The chariters look fine, but why put in stupid 3d bacgrounds and it's even challenging. It's still fun to try. I beated the game with majin Buu two times and i only lost to supersaiyian 3 goku. Good to rent , bad to buy. thanks for reading!

Dragonball Z Ultimate Battle 22 is an alright game. If you really like DBZ, I would recommend the game. The graphics of the game are a little to flat and cartoonish. The characters look like flat,paper-drawn people. The background lacks detail. I mean, most of the levels have about three colors or less.
The sound is horrible. Most of the characters all sound alike. For example, Trunks sounds like Goten. And for the moves, if you do the Kamekameha, it looks like all of the other fire balls in the game. Oh yeah, the music is alright.
The controls are easy to master. To fly, you just press triangle. To do a fire ball, you press the circle button. To do super moves however, are a bit tough. First off, you have to press a series of buttons. Then on top of that, they have to be done at a fast motion. Its pretty hard if you are not fast enough.
For the lifespan, most hardcore DBZ fans would be playing the game for at lease an hour to about two hours non-stop.
The fun of the game gets rather old a bit quick. I liked the game because of the characters and the fighting.

this game is a very good game. the graphics are a little bad but it is still a good game. the poeple who say it is bad come on poeple it`s a japaese import and it was made 8 years ago. my favorite part is the torniment mode i made me stress out.Do not believe those poeple who say it is bad they probably don`t even have the game. believe i have the game and it is awsome.

i love this game becaus you can do just about any thing on it but im still trying to turn into a super saiyen its prety hard but i still like it you can fly and trow those little fire balls and i have gatten to level 72 with goku and my brother is a super saiyen 15 his level is 92 he really kicks my but in this game thats why i dont play with him that much and it relly rocks i love it.

This game is not only easy to grasp and loyal to the cartoon show, but unlike the other reviews, I think that the techniques are easy to do. The kamehameaha is just 'square four times and circle'. The other techniques may be hard to do but once you pick them up, almost every character has the same buttons to do the same kind of move, so you aren't just good with one character but all of them. What also helped me like the game is that the music they picked, seemed to match the game and the emotions of the characters, unlike some of the other dbz games, but the thing that made this game a little bit crappy was the voices of the characters. Although they had subtitles, (which were never even proper Engilsh anyway) it being in Japenese made it rather weird, and the high pitchness of the voices made the chracters seem weak and pathetic. For example, when you first complete the game and Gohan finally destroys Cell, you hear Gohan say he is gonna die and then, like the carton Goku speaks, and its a sad but brave moment, but with the game the voice of Goku made me laugh rather then be serious. The only other bad things for me, are the fact that it ends at the Cell Saga. That was a complete mistake because not only does it make the story mode shorter, but Majin Buu is obviously the best character in the whole game. He is so cool and funny, (I mean just look at him, a big fat pink baby and yet he is so strong he could kill you by breathing) and he should have been put in, not only that but in taht saga there's about 10 different buu's (majin buu, evil buu, strong evil buu, buu absorbed gotenks, buu abosorbed piccolo, buu absorbed gohan, hulking buu (after abosrbing the South supreme Kai) and then there's kid buu, and if you want to think of it like that, Uub is also a buu.) and then there's vigito and gotenks, I mean if they had of added the buu saga then this game would have been the best I have ever played. Another thing that annoyed me was the graphics as they could have been a tad more realistic but other wise the characters, gameplay and story make this dragonball gme probably the best one ever and I would certainly go out and buy it as the good opinions totally outway the bad ones.

This may be a ps1 game, but man oh man It's freaking better than Budokai. I admit, the specials aren't very detailed but the character lineup is awesome, especially ssj3 goku and gogeta! and to make it better, vegeta is already majin in it! Budokai was good but they needed to expand the story. Ultimate Battle 22 takes it all the way to Buu! The character's graphics were awesome. They way the were shaded made them look like they came out of the show. In my opinion, Ultimat Battle 22 is the greatest dragonball z game of all time! I wanna see this game remade with Budokai graphics and I also want Final Bout to come back to the U.S.

I went to blockbuster in search to rent DBZ budokai but instead i thought i had settled for second best with DBZ ultimate battle 22, boy was I wrong. When I first took this home to play I noticed the graphics...poor but playable, I didnt really notice the poorness in them because i was toooo confused trying to figure out what to choose to start playing. After the (very cool) intro video the game leads you to a poorly constructed main menu. I spent an hour playing just practice rounds in 1vCOM. The sound in this game (besides the cool intron video) is the only decent thing. The gameplay is very confusing. I fuond myself beating the game using only punching and kicking because the specials where very confusing. So if you are a serious DBZ fan who has a few dollars buy this game. Everyone else forget about it

Ok i have a lot of reviews of what people have said about this game the graphics are bad well i mean comeon it was made in 1995 u cant expect ps2 like graphics for a game made 8 years ago, Another than the graphics and sound the game is just plain fun i mean it has so many characters and the controls are good u can build your character up and i mean it doesnt compair to budokais graphics but it shouldnt i mean ultimate 22 is an 8 year old ps1 game and budokai is a 6 month old ps2 game its wrong to compair i mean just cuz there is no story mode i mean all budokai did was take alittle part of the tv show and have a cheesy movie and an ok fighting system while ultimate 22 has a unique and fun fighting system i mean dont get me wrong i enjoy budokai i just didnt have that much fun with it but i had more fun with ultimate 22. I recomend this game to any dbz fan or any fighting game fan cuz the game just plain rocks.

Sure the graphics and the voices are bad, but the moves and the great variety of characters that you can't get in budokai are great!!!!!!I have added a cheat section to my review, check it out!!!!---If any of you like this game, but are having trouble with the codes, Go to Game winners.com, go to the strategy guides (scroll down the screen to the end of the page, you will see a hyperlink for strategy guides)Then choose the fourth guide by MGibbs. It has everything for this game including hypermoves for the characters (awesome little FMV's of super moves that take no energy at all!!!!!!) These cheats make it possible to see the full potential of the game, and don't listen to the people saying all the bad stuff about this game, dont take it from them, see for your self!!!!!

the game was good but the graphics could be better and the special techniques are hard to pull of. but the game has some of the best players such as gojita,gotenks,majin-vegeta and SSJ2 goku and my personal favorite SSJ2 gohan. as i was saying earelyier on the game is good but if you want a real kick with your favourite character i would choose dbz final bout the graphics are alot better and the special techniques are easy to use.

People say this game sucks, this is just because they are too idiotic to figure out the controls. I have learned every move in the game, literaly. The most challenging were Gotenks' Kamikaze Ghost and Vegeto's ultimate box attack (half circle back half circle forward, he roles and punch tons of times, slaps, appears in the background of the stadium and lights the screen with a Chou Kamehameha Wave). I've been playing this game since October of last year, and it still rocks. Anyone who say's otherwise is either an amature gamer or a non-dbz fan.
GRAPHICS - 4/10
The graphics may not be that great, but you have to look over that to see the true greatness of this game.
SOUND - 8/10
The sound is basically perfect for this game, I love it.
GAMEPLAY - 10/10
Perfect, Budokai has nothing on this game.
ATTACKS - 9/10
Some are dull, but seeing Vegeto's ultimate box attack is realy amazing.
REPLAY VALUE - Great, most fighting games are ver replayable as well, but this one I may never get tired of.
OVERALL GAMEPLAY - 9/10
Smooth hard-core fighting. Stree Fighter-esque, with jumps, dodges, and blocks. Great music, great playability, but no actual story mode... look over the story mode part and it is a perfect game!

Too bad their wasn't four player mode that would of been so cool I remember along time ago i was 4 my brother was playing a dragonball Z game he got from tailand with his friends they put in a multitap and you could play 4 players it was in 3d you could choose the stage but it was japanese lol but what was cool was they could fly every where and they could move all fast like in the shows I admit i was hoping that ultimate battle 22 would be an improvment to that ); Oh well i just got to live with that my brother doesnt have it anymore because he lost his interest in dbz because he watched it when he was in jr.high and hes 24 now then he told me he probably gave it to my cousin Donald but hes in B.c. and my sister and brothe j.j. the one wit da game is goin there in the summer but i cant go I really wanna try that game out for myself but theres a rumor going on that to unlock kid buu beat the U.b.22 3 times wit majin buu then play 3 more battles then lose the 3rd one on puropse he should be in front of captain ginyu when you chose another character be super buu then when you fight it will be kid buu but then you have to beat him then when you go on to the next fights their all kid buu beat em all then in the last one its cheap when you beat him theirs cheesy smoke then hes twitching then yeah you get my drift.

This is a good game. it may not have the graphics were expecting but it was made back in 1995! I admit there are flaws in the game, such as most of the energy attacks being big balls with little tails instead of their being powerful beams, and the fact that you cant save, which makes it hard unlock SS4 goku and vegeta, along with Pan, but hey it has twice as many good points. You can choose from plenty of fighters from the show and even make them stronger by building them up in build up mode. you can also fight a character that your friend built up (i kick my friends ass every time with my level 125 gotenks, and he built him up the most). you can also fight with up to eight friends in the tournament mode. no, u dont need to have eight controlers, just two, and if you are playing with any friends then you could just have one controller and use the select button to switch your character between first and second player. The attack commands can be pretty hard but once you have them down, you cant stop playin the game, not to mention that it makes most of the other attack commands easier. Unfortunately the game doesnt have some key characters like Kid Buu, but it does have the almighty Gogeta. yes its Gogeta not vegeto. By calling him vegeto u are dissing him. Dont get me wrong, i like vegeto, its just that gogeta is stronger, better, and he can pimp slap people in the game (press x and square at the same time). Okay so the game doesnt have the best music. all i can say for that is, Deal With it jackass. the music is great but its not bad either. yeah the game has a few flaws, but dont forget it was made in 1995. and the only sad part here is that a game this old is better in most aspects, mainly fighting wise, than Budokai. Luckily there is Budokai 2. okay so the game isnt the best i understand that, but stop bitchin about it. Its very old, and for an old game i think its great, especially since the japanese voices are a nice little change for once. Sometimes the american voice actors make goku and vegeat sound constepated. I like the guy who does gohans voice from the buu saga and during Dragonball Gt. he doesn't sound constepated, he has a nice smooth voice, dont worry im not gay, so dont get that idea in your head. yeah the game does have a few flaws but they fixed that. its called Budokai 2. so just cause we bitch about it doesnt mean that the are gonna make a second copy just for us. get this game if u have PSone and Budokai 2 if you have PS2. Its a good game, its worth your money, and if you dont believe me rent it (good lick getting a copy, most people take them out with that gay gamers card that lets you keep games for ever). Its a good game, go get a copy, dont be lazy and try to get use to the game, and make sure you go outside every now and then. you play the game for 6 hours striaght your mind will go blank and youll become stupid (luckily it wont affect me, my mind is always blank). So stop giving the game a bad review, its old damnt! Most imprtantly, get a copy and have fun playing one of the best games the 90's had to offer.

Well first i wanna say i had never heard of ultimate battle 22 before im just a massive db/z/gt fan and as soon as i saw it bought it, the only bad thing about the game are ther special attacks ( kamahameha etc... ) they all look the same!! ( a big ball of yellow fire) very boring!!! unlike final bout. if u want a game with good graphics and almost all characters (up to cell saga i think)then get final bout, if u want a larger range of charecters then it's ultimate battle 22... The choice is yours!!!!!!

Why do people call it stupid and hard to master the moves?theyre so easy!man,this game beats budokai by 100 stars! i love this game because there are so many characters to choose from and you can play people from the buu serious!thats right,the buu series! i was saying that this was a tupid game but when i played it i thought it was so cool! you could play as super buu, majin buu, gotenks,ss3 goku and like other so many great and cool strong characters! i agree a little on the graphics being bad but thats like only the only thing thats wrong wth ths game!i would reccommend it if you are a dbz fan cause this is the ultimate game!

i think this was a great game. it has cool moves that can be done. i like how you can build up your charicters and fight them. me and my cousin fight each other alot. it is also an uncomplicated game and easy to understand. that is why i gave this game a 10 star.

This game is Ok for the first few days then it gets plain corny and annoying. I mean Gotenks can just keep doing victory cannon which does like 750 dmg out of 3000 and just by pressing -->O.
I wouldnt recomend this game unless U R THE BIGGEST DBZ MORON IF U JUST BUY IT RIGHT AWAY.Rent the game first but i really dont reccomend this game and if u dont believe me then play it and then you will be screaming at the screen because it is boringly hard it is and how annoying the blisters on ur fingers for playing by spinning the anolog stick for doing certain atks are so dont buy first just rent.And this game has the worst graphics and movement because the people look like paper and u move to dang slow.And in story mode it has a game board way to do the game and the storyline is really kindof wrong so dont play if u want to find out the buu saga.Im only giving it 2 stars because 1 its a dragon ball game and 2 it shows gotenks Gogeta(or Veggeto).TRUST ME RENT FIRST DONT BUY IT RIGHT WHEN UR STUPIS LITTLE EYES SEE IT

I liked this game because the controls are easy. If you buy the game you get a book that teels the min characters moves. You can get 22 Dragonballz characters 7 hidden. You can build up your characters and when you have two characters built up you can get a friend to be one and you can baatle. The thing I didn't like was that it takes to long to start powering up. Otherwise it is an awesome game.
