I went to blockbuster in search to rent DBZ budokai but instead i thought i had settled for second best with DBZ ultimate battle 22, boy was I wrong. When I first took this home to play I noticed the graphics...poor but playable, I didnt really notice the poorness in them because i was toooo confused trying to figure out what to choose to start playing. After the (very cool) intro video the game leads you to a poorly constructed main menu. I spent an hour playing just practice rounds in 1vCOM. The sound in this game (besides the cool intron video) is the only decent thing. The gameplay is very confusing. I fuond myself beating the game using only punching and kicking because the specials where very confusing. So if you are a serious DBZ fan who has a few dollars buy this game. Everyone else forget about it

I purchased this game unaware to the fact that it has serious faults, such as limited graphics and an appauling game speed, the sound qaulity is totally abismal.There should be laws in place that prevent this sort of low qaulity rubbish being produced that are supposed to realise the amazing effects of Dragonball Z,Bodukai however is up to the standard that this sort of game should be.
Battle 22 is the ultimate in shame and I dont recommend this worthless piece of junk game to even the greatest of DBZ fans, If you find this game exiting and enjoyable, good for you but when you take a long hard look at yourself and this game you will realise that even the best of DBZ can be shoved into a poorly presented package and sold to suckers (myslef included).
please heed my warnings and save your cash.

DBZ ultimate battle 22... It's not exactly what i expected, it may have 22 characters with 5 bonus characters but they are badly drawn and the backgrounds are a little messy and whenever you launch a special attack (e.g. Kamehameha) they always look the same, a big ball energy which gets very boring and dull shortly. But the gameplay is good, it's just plain basic fun when you beat the crap out of an opponent and even though this version has the build-up mode, you can get tired quickly when trying to beat 22 characters. The strongpoint of this game is the music but the sounds are strange, you launch an energy ball and this weird sound goes off.
Final bout is defintley worth your money but if your thinking of buying ultimate battle 22, I suggest you rent it first. I'll give this 710.

This game was alright. The combos are really hard...... i got blisters trying to do them. If you like DBZ then you will like this game. The graphics suck but i mean at least they look likem a little bit. I don't like how they are already transfromed(i.e. Goku super sayjin,Gohan... etc).But yeah it gets kind of fun. I haven't played it with a friend yet but i know it will get to be more fun with 2, or 3,or 4, or even all the way to 8 people playing!!! It's not really owrth the $20 i spent on it but it is enjoyable. Oh yeah the other thing that sucked on this was that they have Vegeto as a character but he looks like Gogeta, so that was a dumb typo thingy. Any ways Have fun and master your character (me i like Gotenks and Gogeta the best. they got the best moves)!!

This has to be one of the most orphul Dragonball Z Games that has been released. The fighting system is very basic, and the choice of Ki Attacks is very restricted. You can not transform at will during battle, you have to select a transformed character from the menu. The graphics were also equal with those from the Nintendo, all the attacks looked exactly the same. The sound was poor, the music is horrible, accept the SSJ4 Goku theme that is only available when you battle SSJ3 Goku and SSJ2 Gogeta. The sound was one of the worst features about the game, what a let down. Gameplay, the ghame is good for about 20 minutes, after that, it is pointless. Even as a huge Manga, Anime, and Dragonball fan, I have to give this game 2 star rating. I wouldn't waste your money.

mmmmm ok this game is really good, i like the fact that the characters that you have to unlock are actually worth unlocking. like kid goku ya know. in other games the characters you have to unlock are just characters that you see like all the time, like hercule or cell in budokai! Alos the grphics on the CHARACTERS are pretty decent but the backround is nothing to cheer about.... personally i think that budokai could be on th ps one but eh whatcha gonna do? the game IS a little slow (unless you know how to do those kikcs butt combos!!) tis a little hard to learn but overall i think its pretty good...oh and the resaon i thnk budokai could be on ps one is because of its graphics! i mean comeon thats sucky compared to what other ps 2 games have!

I never experienced this much fun of any Dragonballz game. This game tells you the code of unlocking five more characters. It has Vegeto and SS3 Goku,plus Gotenks in this game. My best characters in this game is Gotenks,Vegeto,Piccolo,Majin Buu,Super Buu,Goku,Goten,Trunks,Future Trunks,and Tien. The graphics are excellent but the background is pretty good. What I like most about it is the fast-non like Budokai-action packed fighting. When I did Vegeto's special,it looked hot. Especially the move that when he runs at you and turns invinsible then,he appears as slide kicking you. This is a adventous game. You can power-up other than Budokai,it's hard to power-up. It's the best fighting,great graphics,and non-like Budokai game.

Hey, I went to buy DBGT final bout but it wasnt there at a Anime store. So then I saw ultimate battle 22 and bought it for 60 bucks and a upgrade disk to play the game on playstation. Then the game came out here for 20 and I got mad, and my friend showed me the game and I noticed that they took off all the animation on the U.S version! That SUCKS!! That's why the game sucks and the announcer even talks in japanese! The animation always comes on when your about to fight and when you lose too. Which was hilarious the way they talked, but why take off all the animation?!! WHATS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE!!?? not to mention diffrent characters shown on the cover of UB 22 on the U.S version! So thats my reason it sucks without animation!

Don't ever buy this game if you don't already have because the graphics suck and you can't turn super saiyan you start as him.
there might be a lot of characters but that's mostly because you have to pick super saiyans singley. The characters look like pieces of paper. the code book gives you a code to get new characters, how gay is that. well, this game is gay and you shouldn't buy it because it's a waste of fifty dollars. in fact, it was eighty dollars until it was brought down yesterday. Yeah, it's from japan and the chinese who look just like them rock at dodgeball so they were too busy doing that so they just cut out some pieces of paper and glued them onto the tv. then they sold that piece of crap.

This game bites! There's only two codes you can use. Hurcule and master roishi can't even fly! Why in the wrold sdid they put them in the game. It's too hard diong attacks that look like punny fire balls. The only reason i put a five there becase you can be people from the Buu saga. It's even too hard to do a kamaha wave. And the graphics stink. There's only like five backgrounds: Kami's lookout, grass island,dessert, this realy dark place, Namek,and a banged up city. The chariters look fine, but why put in stupid 3d bacgrounds and it's even challenging. It's still fun to try. I beated the game with majin Buu two times and i only lost to supersaiyian 3 goku. Good to rent , bad to buy. thanks for reading!

When I saw UB22 in my local store, I thought Oh my god! I need it! So I purchased it and eagerly drove back to my house anxious to play it on my Ps2. What did I get? A average game. I tried it out playing as Goku and I lost the first million times and it was on easy! But then as I played I got better and better. I think the graphics are a total let down! The sound sounded like the actual japanese voices which is awesome! The gameplay isnt so great anyways unless your playing Bulid up mode. The originality is good considering the graphics looks 2D and the show. I still think its a okay average game. Major improvements to the graphics would raise my score dramatically but right now its staying a 7.

come on guys! i mean, Yea the graphics aren't spectacular , and yea, the backgrounds were cheesey, but you got to admit, this game kicks butt! As if 22 characters weren't enough, there's a code for 27 fighters! okay. Master Roshi doesn't fly or charge, and No, neither can hercule, but master roshi always takes people by suprise with his teleporting and hercule has his 4 missle launch that have devistating results! i see how ya'll hate the energy blasts welllll..... Get Over It!! they aren't that bad! i think ya'll are just looking for a reason to dis this game! the fighting techniques on vegeto are awesome and i even found moves that weren't in the books! overall this game is a success!

This game is okay because it has a lot of characters (over 27} and they give you a code in the booklet for SS3 Goku, Vegito, Master Rushi, Kid Goku, and Hercule. The sound is like any other game and the graphics are the same for any PS1 game exept the characters witch are 2-D and look like Super Nintendo games do. When you throw somebody or when Supreme Kai picks you up and slams you down a few times it looks dumb. I don't like how you can't pick the levels and they don't have a story mode but when you beat the game it shows in the credits Poolom and Plum or how ever you spell their names and you can't unlock them with the cheat in the booklet. Over all this game is decent.

I think that Ultimate Battle is the best out of the three DBZ and DBGT games. Because the graphics are great and the gameplay is better as well. Lets take DBGT Final Bout if you make a move a few seconds later the Character will do the move and the graphics are UGLY!!!
UB 22 has a great selection of characters in total there are 27 characters and thats is much. The sound isnt to great but i dont really care, this game has a verry long lifespan cause you can train your own characters as well and make them stronger and then you can fight with two "Build Up" characters. So i think this is one of the best DBZ / DBGT games. If you gonna buy i game let it be this game...

When i played this i thought,"Dude,its 2-d its gonna be gay",but when I played it i freaked.I couldent put it down.If you play it watch out for litle Trunks he kicks ass.The game has so many characters,I think it has the most chacters than any other game.You can play story mode and fight everyone or you can play tournament which is really fun.If you look around you can find this code for it that lets you unlock Gogeta,Chibi Goku,SSJ3 Goku,and Master Roshi.The game gets even more fun when you play with all the characters.I give his game a 10 out of 10 because its one of the best DBZ games i have ever played.You should play Dragon Ball Z Legends too thats even better.

at first when i got it i thought it was going to be lame because of the reviews i had read before i got it so when i got it i was not that excited but when i played it i was like what were these people thinking. I know I know this is not the best game out there but its not bad either. the only bad thing about is the sound but the graphics are ok. im a big dbz fan so i dont really care if it is 2d or 3d its all fine with me. the best part of the game is that you get almost all of the characters from the sayjin saga to the majin buu saga. the vs mode is ok too but it is the sound that i dont like. i hope they make a remake of dragonball z ultimate battle 22 for ps2.

This may be a ps1 game, but man oh man It's freaking better than Budokai. I admit, the specials aren't very detailed but the character lineup is awesome, especially ssj3 goku and gogeta! and to make it better, vegeta is already majin in it! Budokai was good but they needed to expand the story. Ultimate Battle 22 takes it all the way to Buu! The character's graphics were awesome. They way the were shaded made them look like they came out of the show. In my opinion, Ultimat Battle 22 is the greatest dragonball z game of all time! I wanna see this game remade with Budokai graphics and I also want Final Bout to come back to the U.S.

Why do people call it stupid and hard to master the moves?theyre so easy!man,this game beats budokai by 100 stars! i love this game because there are so many characters to choose from and you can play people from the buu serious!thats right,the buu series! i was saying that this was a tupid game but when i played it i thought it was so cool! you could play as super buu, majin buu, gotenks,ss3 goku and like other so many great and cool strong characters! i agree a little on the graphics being bad but thats like only the only thing thats wrong wth ths game!i would reccommend it if you are a dbz fan cause this is the ultimate game!

The game is tight but where is Mystic Gohan and kid buu is there something i missed? Im sitting here trying to beat the game i mean it shows him and kid buu on the cover my god sorry i get mad at some games and this one website said u can unlock them somehow but i forgot the website. Has anyone played Dbz hyper dimension now that game kicks ultimate battle 22 graphics butt hard man and the story mode is a pain in the butt though, My friend let me borrow it for a day or two and i was hooked on that game.

I think the game all and all is pretty cool. So the graphics look like some thing my girl freind drew so what, $#< remove me > at ! I use to play natarie(bad spellin' ye ha) so anything is better than that. A large amount of characters to choice from including Master Roshie $#< remove me > at ! you can't beat that. The music is a video games audio clip that repeats but what video game isn't, it's not like the game is on 2Pac's new cd $#< remove me > at ! give it a brake. It might not be a game you play every day but it is fun to fly up when your friend shuts a blast and is out of breath you pop his weak ass in the head with a Kamahama.If you like old games get it
