I was so excited when I bought the game. I always wanted to play a 2-D DBZ fighting game. When I looked at how to the specials I was confused. It gets me so frustrated trying to to them. Budika's moves were alot easier, And so were the specials easier in DB GT Final Bout. There's alot of my faviorite characters. And the sounds are just like on the show! But all in all, the special's are just to d< remove me > at m* hard. But I would still say its a pretty good game.

this game was not as bad as people said it would be, first off the graphics are pretty good for a play station 1 game , the gameplay is pretty good to ,but the only draw back was the voice over, for
the most part the dialogue is in japense, but i can look past that minor flaw. i am a huge dragonball fan i have every episode on tape and i've been watchin this show since '96',so it would take more then just bad voice overs to keep me from this game.Also i must say that this is the best dragonball game for ps1, but dragonball z budakai still holds down it spot as the best dbz game ever.......

When I first got it I was tired of it until I got realy good at it and the I fell in love with it. I tried to get some cheats to turn it into UB27 but they didnt work. I was very mad and I didnt thik I had the cheat right so I got back on their and tried to get it agin and ti still did not work.!!!!Then I gave up on it and I decided i was just going to play for fun. The other thing was is that thhe moves are very hard to master very hard.

the games cool in champion mode and use gotens punch near an opponent 3times and use it over and over to beat the game and the game really is cool but on easy mode you can beat it in 30 minutes and i really like it but i hate how inforgames made such lame graphics and if it was like bodakai it would be sold out in less than a month and nobody could resist its action and i give it 7 of 10 from coolj.p.

This is simply the greatest fighting game ever made.Final Bout and Budikai are really good too, but this game beats them by 1000 stars,people say it sucks because the charaters are 2d. the backrounds are in threed, and the music is the greatest i've ever heard.Bless the Japonese!

Oh danget, they should come out with a better game besides this one ,except Budokai. I cant believe they put Hercule,and Master Roshi in the game,they all suck. The only thing I like about the game is supersaiyan3 Goku. Out of that,the game bites the dust. I would honestly have no fun factor in my game. Which is why I give this game {One}.

The graphics were okay for an eight year old game that finally came to the U.S. The price was a little high, but I am a huge DBZ fan so I got it. I think that the game is very fun when it comes to the cries that each character makes when they get hit and so on. The special moves are a little hard to master, but like any other fighting games one learns from playing it after awhile. The music while you play is questionable but one can deal with it if you ignore it. I love how many characters you can play with, that's one really could point of the game. It's an okay game.

It was a great game. I didn't like the slow speed of attacks or that the way to win is through energy blasts, but nonetheless I recommend it for only hardcore DragonBallZ gamers only. It has great characters and the special characters are cool. You should choose Fat Majinn Buu for beginners. He's the fastest character in the start and great for beginners.

Ultimate battle is an alright game, but I still think that Budoki is better. The gameplay is pretty good, the sound is like any other Playstation game, the 2-d characters is what I don't like. I wish this game was for PS2 instead because the back and foreground look like junk.(All PS1 games look like crap) But, for 20$ this is a decent deal, but, if you don't read the little booklet that comes with the game, then you will not have any clue how to play the game. I like that the background changes when you put in the code for the secret five characters. Over all I think that this is a pretty good game.

This game made me mad at the beginning.I thought i should sew. i got the game in st.louis and right now i'm in chicago. so on the way home i looked at the back cover and it looked awesome.i don't mind the bootleg graphics.so i read the booklet but when i got home.......I went crazy.i mean the game is cool but the backgrounds suck.theyonly have 5 different colors, and 6 levels.the tourament,a dark place,the desert,an island, and a city that not even a hobo would live in.and the music has only three songs.to me music is important in a game.I like the characters.But they have went too far in the booket.i saw vegeto in the booklet but it didn't have the picture.in the japanese anime vegeto looks like goku but he acts like vegeta,were some blue pants and a blue and orange shirt instead of an orange and blue shirt, and he has gloves and boots.They gave me gogeta!i look at the fmv sequence and it showed the right fusion but the person. I think this game ties with Budaki because it has a lot of characters and that's it.

Most games (tekken for example) were good but not the best when they first apeared on the playstation format. I am a die hard dbz fan and do think that the game needed to be tweaked. However they have a poor chance of repeating the same problems if they decide to make a new on on the ps2. I do hope they dont just try to beat a deadline and throw it together. This game however could have used a bigger blast, dripping blood, more body language, and heavy breathing (Heaving). But I still give it a good rating for mostly true to character design.

come on guys! i mean, Yea the graphics aren't spectacular , and yea, the backgrounds were cheesey, but you got to admit, this game kicks butt! As if 22 characters weren't enough, there's a code for 27 fighters! okay. Master Roshi doesn't fly or charge, and No, neither can hercule, but master roshi always takes people by suprise with his teleporting and hercule has his 4 missle launch that have devistating results! i see how ya'll hate the energy blasts welllll..... Get Over It!! they aren't that bad! i think ya'll are just looking for a reason to dis this game! the fighting techniques on vegeto are awesome and i even found moves that weren't in the books! overall this game is a success!

i gave this game a 10 because the game rocks so much that it deserves a 10.it maynot have the grafics that you expected it to have but i wouldn'tgive it a 9 or lower like a 1."Oh and you poke'mon lovers better sit back because it will be a long time before poke'mon gets as famose as DRAGONBALL Z".so anyway,dragonball z gust rocks and i would lick to read more opinions about dragonball z."PLAY ON DBZ FANS"!!!!!

this is a great game . It is so much better than Budokai. the graphics are sort of lame ,but the characters are awesome. the combos are easy to master ,but the attacks look the same. the sound is amazing and the areas are sweet. People who say this game is horrible are wrong take advice from a dbz expert.If you are a true dbz fan you will get this game and enjoy it. don't listen to the people who say it is a waste of money cause it's not. Igave it a 10 cause I say this is one of the best dragonball z games ever.

THE graphics stink i give them a 2 and the controls are hard to figure out i can only do a pnch combo i dont no any of the moves the coms use to kill me. the only thing gpood about this game is that the characters are so cool. theyu got all the new chars. If all the new chars were in dbz budokia than it would be awsome cept it would be sold out in a day. Dbz budokia has greata graphic good controls too and a skill list so u can check how to do the moves. If the new chars were in budokia it would rock!!!!

its cool but it could use more characters like Radditz but i liked it i going to beat the build up soon my favorite charater is Vegeta and he has some good attacks but to win a match you have to punch and kick not shoot energy balls and i havent played Budokai so i dont know which one is better.

Its my first dragonball z game I own so that alone makes me appreciate it. the wide range of characters that budokai dosen't have and the much faster action that budokai dosen't have makes ultimate battle better in my book. only thing that keeps it from getting a ten is all the blasts look too much the same and the characters sound stupid when they are hurt.
bascially, l like ultimate battle cuz i love Dbz and this game has all kind of dbz characters and outstanding action speed, plus the graphics look like the actual cartoon so they are nice as well.

I dont care what anyone eles says. This game is gr8. The grathics need work..lots of work but it still looks cool. The lvl music could be a lot better, sometimes it sounds like something off a gameboy. Nevermind....but the game itself...thats what got me hooked...it's fun to play, there's lots of people to choose from and the storyline is gr8. I recomend this to Dragonball fans.

The charecter selection is the ONLY thing that dissapoints me........., i'd LOVE the game just if it had Garic jr. and the rest of his henchmen. The music is a little funky but u get used to it after a while. the graphics are OK for a 2D game.!!! The gameplay is what matters, and thats the great part about the game. i love the classical moves like the Kahmehameha!!!, plus u can bust out MAJOR BIG combos. over all i give it a 10 cuz i LOVE db/dbz/dbgt/dbaf!!!. the gameplay rocks!!!, and the charecter selection and special attacks aren't bad at all!.....It's worth the $!
