Move over Crash, Spyro's back and ready to torch Ripto's rear! |

Once again the crown for the king of platformers has been passed! From orange marsupials, to purple dragons. Insomniac have done it again!(No wonder they never get any sleep!) After playing the original Spyro to death, there was just something missing from the early levels. A lack of early challenge made just a bit boring in the begining. Now Insomniac have rectified their mistake and brought about the GREATEST PLATFORM MASTERPIECE ever seen.
Introducing the excellent new chracters, who have more life then the dragons in the first game, Elora, Hunter, Professor and of course, Ripto, Crush and Gulp. They dont just stand there for you to look at, oh no! They react, they give you advice, they share secrets and opinions and they try to kill you.(Ripto only).
Next, they worlds are HUGE! Summer forest is incredible as it is. Combine it with Winter Tundra and Autum Plains and you have one heck of a world.
The levels vary from ice holes and deserts to volcanos and war zones! Mountains, sea shores, swamps, magical floating cities, gem mines, construction sites, temples, nightime hills, lava pits, badlands, metros, underwater cities, ice caves, dungeons, cliffs, overlooks, harbours, castles, forests, robotic business centers, robofarms and of course dragon amusement parks! All these make up only half of the game. the rest is in the challenges.
Ah yes the challenges! There is no way I'll be able to fit in ALL of the challenges in this review, but they make up the backbone of this game. Doing something nuts like chasing flying squirrel thieves or supercharging tiki posts or even freezing goblins to reach bells or even blasting party hat wearing lava monsters with rocks is excellent! Brilliant! Fantastic! You can see my enthusiasm about this game!
How Insomniac keep dishing out brilliant games like this I have no idea, but I hope they keep doing it! Hats off to Insomniac for giving us Spyro, bigger, badder and better than ever.

I think Spyro 2 is awesome! I tried spyro 1, ok! I tries spyro 3, great! BUT I tries the second spyro and you should too! More characters, GREAT levels, clear words, perfect for play station nuts, graphics that aculaay make sense and this DOESN'T SUCK! It rocks! There is maps for the levels! It ain't pethetic and it's a challenge but not THAT hard! It is perfect! In a half hour you could get over 1,000 gems.The sounds fit in the game! It is VERY fun and the story makes sense! If u play for a half hour every I can fit in plenty of 100 % levels! Try it, this is the RIGHT game for you!

it was the best spyro game i ever played. i did like the first one but this one kicks butt have you played spyro 3 it is almost better then the second but isn`t.I mean the seond game is just so fun. the charecter are just so like dumb. i like hunter best because he is so forgettable

Alright! I've finished with Spyro 1 and now I'm done with Spyro2. This is much better than the first! I loved the graphics, sound, and all the extra characters! The characters in the various worlds that you help are what makes the game so fun, because they are all a bit clueless. I really like Elora. She's cool. My advice is to buy this game immidiatly.

I loved this game, and for some reason, it was a bit funner than the 1st. I liked Moneybags, and those special Flight Round things. I loved all the characters Spyro had to help. I think, they could've had him interact with more dragons, though. In the end, I love this game, never finished it, but I still love it!

A nice game overall but it would be better if you got something else but superflame at the end.You don't need cheats to beat the game but it can get challenging.I know!!!!! but the cheats are very cool so i suggest that you try them.i can tell you some byt it would ruin the game for you so i guess that you either get them or play the game without.

I like this game a lot only it was all too easy. It only took my family and me a week to finish it. The music was fine. I like the story it was very imaginative. At the end I wondered if Ripto would ever die! It was so simple to beat him though. I also didn't like how at the end all you got was a stupid firepower; they could have done better than that! It was cool how there were new characters such as the Professor, Hunter, and Alora. All the levels were exceptional. This game is more for small kids because it was so easy. Moneybags was a very nice perk. I liked him a lot. He was in the 3rd and 4th Spyro only he only showed up once through the whole game. I think this game is more for little kids but any one would enjoy playing it. I was a little disappointed with how easy it was and the ending. I really like this game and if you?re not a "Game Wizard" you should buy this game. It's nothing Special but it is a good game. I think if you have young kids you should give them this game because it wouldn't be to hard for them.

This is the best game i played. It is hard and challening but the best. I would make all diffrent Spyro games one day. They will be a fantastic games. I hope you will like them if I do make new Spyro games. I will be going now so ,good by.

This game is by far the best Spyro game I have ever gotten! It would have been better then instead of getting Super Flame at the end of the game you could choose either to have Ice Breath, Super Fly, Super Charge etc... But otherwise its a great game, the storyline gets boring after I beat it in one day but I now make my own adventures up!

Spyro 2 is a great game but if your stuck you cant get any cheats. It would be a better game if it had harder chalanges or somthing better than super flame when you finish. A few slite adjustments and I would have give it 10

This game is one of the best games I'e ever played. It outdoes the first game, Spyro the Dragon, with more characters to talk to and puzzles to solve. Although it can get boring at times doing difficult tasks, overall, it was challenging but fun. Great graphics, great music, original story and characters. I love it!
