Ok listen up. This is the best PS game i've ever played. its even better compared to some of the rpgs that i've played on the PS2. For all you haters especially the one who said you'd have to be on crack to have played it, give me a break its a PS game and honestly i haven't seen one PS game with any graphics more or less bad than LODs.All i'm trying to say is what kind of graphics do you expect from it a PS10s!!!The trasformations, the characters, and the story plot were all exceptionally good. And another thing on almost everybody's opinion i saw something about FF7 or 8.LOD, FF, and all other rpgs i've played up until now were all basically the damn same and i'm getting tired of good ideas being compared to FF. FF doesn't have dragoons, the same storyline, or attack sequence. the only thing ive seen similar between the two is(attack, wait for them to attack, then take your turn again while they wait)ive owned FF 4,7,8 and 10 and LOD does not fit in any of their categories.SO LAY OF LOD,THE GREATEST PS1 GAME EVER!

this games ok i guess. but they definitely couldve done better in the graphics. the cinematics were pretty good but the world map graphics were worse then FF1s and thats pretty bad consiedring that games now around 17yrs old.i liked the idea of being able 2 transform into dragoons but thats the only thing that i liked about the battle sequence. the idea of a box and timings and a wheel (for dragoons), thats completely stupid pointless and time wasting (unless ya just wanna kill some time but theres better ways of doing that). the sounds were okay but they couldve put voice acting throughout the whole games instead of certain cut scenes.the story line's really, really stupid. the little love that shana has fer dart is retarded, and character traits for the characters (excluding rose) are all repetitive from alot of other RPGs.its shouldnt at all be compared to any FF games(even the 2 first ones). I also hate the slow character leveling up. i also hated the fact that i couldnt make dart go wherever i wanted on the world map, that also pissed me off. basicly this is a game that couldve been better if the creators hadnt only spent 5mins and 10$ making it. and its pretty boring too.

Who ever says that this game is stupid or even boring! Their just mentally Ill! I mean its the funnest game ever! It has an awsome story line and you really get into the game! I mean I felt like I was there with em! They're is so many twists and turns...you never know whats coming up next! And then theirs action,romance,excitement and mystery! What more can you ask for. Ok maybe it is 4 discs long but just let me tell you! Thats not enough! I mean at the very beggining of the game it caught my interest! I mean most games try to get your interest at the beggining then it just goes off and gets boring! But they keep it interesting! And the characters each havetory of their own to tell! But the best thing I think is as you go along the story unravles its self! I think its the best thing that I've ever played! I mean I cried at the end when it was done! I hope theirs gonna be another one! And just let me tell you! If you get this you wont regret it! Take my word for it! Once you play it you wont want to leave it!

i think that this game just kicks some ass. the people who gave it a bad review must of been busy bumming final fantasy games to realise how good LoD really is. although i do like the FF series as well. i love the battle system on legend of dragoon because its alot funner than just pressing attack and doing nothing else to hurt the enemy. on legend of dragoon you can boost your attacks by pressing the X button at the correct times and if you get all the timings right then you do a special move. i play this game on my PC using a playstation emulator which allows me to play playstation games on my Computer. so if anyone out there wants to play Legend of dragoon but doesn't have a playstation then download a playstation emulator or email me and i will send you a link to the page where you can get one from. i hope this review persuades people to buy this game so they can find out how good it really is.although legend of dragoon can be quite complicated at times it is still a great game. if the FF series thought about making a game with the same battle system then i think it would do well. or if The makers of LOD and FF teamed up to make possibly the greatest game ever. LOD is an excellent game and don't be misled by the few people giving it a bad review, i don't want anyone missing out on how good this game is.

i have beaten the game 4 times i still love to play it and just to think that all that started with shana getting kiddnaped well im on the part were u fight lenuis i have neaten herbut after i do the game messes up but any way 1st disc took me 2 days to complet 2 disk took me 4 days the 3 disk took me 2 and the last disk took me 6 days to complete well my dad beat the hole game in a week but my favorite part of the game is when rose and dart fall of the ghost ship and rose has a memory of the dragon campaine and i dident know this but haschel and dart are realted because darts mom was haschels daughter and darts father was zeig wich sapposably died in the capaine well was cursed this game is so wird and kool at the same time i cant wait to see the ending agin which is sad but im not oging to ruin it he he but the grapics r good i wish now that they would make a legand of dragoon addcept with better graphics i have to ammit there good but they can be better so pleas make a new one with the same story line addcept better graphics

I know there are a lot of people who like this game but I hated it. The reasons are is that the graphics make you squint to tell what they are and even then you can hardly tell. Some of the creatures looked like blobs. Now the cinematic scenes had pretty good graphics but then again that only proves that they could've done better. The story is pretty much what you would expect. Nothing amazing or original. The game gets very, very repetitive and boring throughout all 4 disks. The combat boxes that you used to do special attacks were kinda fun at first but after a while it got kinda boring. Combat is WAY too long because the game forces you to sit there while the camera shows you the whole arena before you can fight...after a while this got to be annoying. It seemed like every five minutes they were having another scene about something that had no meaning to the game what-so-ever. Such as when Shaynna (SP?) sprains her ankle or something like that and Dart has to carry her on his back. After a while cutscenes like that got very boring. The characters are generic...sometimes painfully so. One example would be Shaynna (can't stand her) who is pretty much a naive, sweet, innocent healer that I see all too much in video games. Rose was probably one of the only characters I liked but even she was generic in the fact that we have too many my angsty women and men. That is only to name a few. The story had nothing original in it and the romance that they try to add was far too dramatized. Just my opinion.

this game has put me under a curse i cant leave it no matter wat it is. The only time im ever let off this curse is when i sleep. And even then im dreamen dragons and plague rats(spent a while kilin rats) I like how they hid the stardust. ive betten the game 1s already but i hadent don very good so i restarted. I spent alot of time on meru dont ask y ijust did for som resen. kongol and dart just kinda got there. o ya i also like the additions i never miss a single one. I even got draged away from the tv by my boyfriend. This game even surpasses "diablo II expansion" and before i got it i was glued to diablo. the best part of the game is probably.........the way it thows u around endniss. ever one should own this game its how my sis would say "the bomb digity"

This is an awesome game, man. Sure the plot sucks but the game was so cool!.The graphics were awesome. No offense but , I thought some of the dragons look like airplanes I thought it was gay that Lloyd died too, man. I mean, dude, he was like my favorite character and then he goes and does something stupid like dying!!! My god, he's suppose to be this strong dude and then boom, he's dead. We didn't even get to play him!!! Lavitz also died. Yeah, that was gay too. Oh ya know what else was gay...Rose. She had to go and die with Dart's father!!! And Dart's father stole his dragoon! What's up with that! And the hardest fight, I thought so, was when I fought the stupid virages! My god, they suck!!! they're like coakroaches! They just won't stay dead! The character I hated the most was Miranda! She is so annoying and weak that I don't even use her. I mean, I really, really really, hated her. The ending suck cuz it didn't have much and cuz lloyd died but other than that, it was cool.

Their is nothing more i can say bout this game than it rocks. it may be just me, but does any1 else wish this game had a sequal? anyway, i liked it cause of the story, the characters (cept for meru), the transformations, and also that your actually able to fight the "older" dragoons at one point. i am replaying this for the 2nd time and a good hint for any1 who reads this would have to be 1) don't sell anything that you have only 1 of (armed). i myself accidently sold the therapy ring, big mistake. 2) go for the ultimate wargod on the phantom ship, its worth it, and if you get bored, just save another slot and continur the quest and you can go back to work on the puzzle when u fell like it. their is to much stuff i'd like to cover, but here's a hint for this game. when you get kongol, go back to lohan and you can get his DS there. i think evry1 knows that one but just in case... i think that sony should remake this game with better graphics (leave the videos alone!!!). any1 agree?

I was rummaging through some of my old games, and I came across this one that I had never played. I've seen it played before, so I didn't think it was too interesting at the time. Once you actually sit in the drivers seat and play the game yourself, its a whole other story. I really enjoy playing this game. My major beefs with this game is: the storyline does get scattered a bit, the spells do drag out too long, I wish more items (potions and such) could be held, for being the main character Dart isn't that strong when he isn't a Dragoon... but its a game that does get addictive even with the flaws. I'm about 27 gameplay hours into the game, and I just beat Lenus (as the Dragoon with her hideously looking dragon behind her). Unfortunately there is something wrong with my disc because every time (4 times now) that I have defeated her, I recieve my exp and items, but the disk just blanks out after that. The weird thing is, I don't even have any scratches on the cd. I guess I got a faulty disc 2 in my set. I'm about ready to get upset! :P Anyone willing to part with theirs?

no offense, there is no comparison. LoD is a Dollar General version of FF7 and is for RPG player wannabes. Honestly, I don't know how anybody could play this game and actually give it good reviews. That as got to be the biggest insult in the whole history of gaming, well one of them anyway. And I know I'm going to piss alot of people off after I write this, but I can't take it anymore. THIS GAME SUCKS!!!! There I said it. I mean come on, the battle systm is one of most crappest things in the game, among other things. What's with trying to time your hits with that stupid little box? And even if you do actually manage to pull it off, it doesn't even do that much damage. And when you turn into a dragoon, you still have that gay wheel where you have stop it at the right time. Why can't you just attack? Do you really need retarded boxes and wheels just so you can fight? No offense, but where did they get sh#$*y graphics? I've seen better graphics on the Atari. Space Invaders looks better this game. And what the hell were they thinking when they designed those hidiously mutated things they happen to call dragons in this game? Actually, the question would be were they thinking at all. For example, the story was something that came from a poorly written fanasty novel that you would you'd find at a gargage sale that being sold for a half penny. I know a 6 year old that writes better stories then this. There is nothing enjoyable about this game. And for all those people who are pised off at me, all I've to say is, get over it. It's my opinion. If you want to like this game then go ahead, but it's doesn't mean I have to.

Whoa... This game is the best game on earth. It doesn't even compare to the games on PS2. It has so imagination put into it like how they put Winglies and all the stuff. Its so cool! I keep playing it over and over again. It does get boring sometimes, and I do kick the screen sometimes. Lol. For the longest time I couldn't get passed the desert in disc. 4. lol. Although I do admit it's a very complicated game, as long as you are a type which likes to know what's gonna happpen next, you'll love this game. No game on PS2, X-BOX or GameCube that I know of, on existence, is better than this game. Although the graphics could be better, it still is wicked! If they made a sequel, even if it was like tons of money worth, I would buy it! It could be like "Legend of the Dragoon: The Starting Point" and you could be like Rose or whatever and learn about what happened more or whatever. I can play forever! I play for like 7 hourse one time. It's very very addictive and that's good! Thanks creators of LOD(Legend of the Dragoon). lol

LEGEND of the DRAGOON. The legend of the Dragoon is the best game ive ever played. I liked it alot the action the long story and also the tranforming into the Dragoons.But i can say they could have made the grapics better and made most of the people talk or had a voice i would have really cared if the girls had the same voices and the boys all had the same voices.The part were u first get a dragoon stone was pratically the best scene of the game even thought i really thought the last scene was better than the scene i just mentioned.DArt the main charter they could have made him better or like the best guy on the game or atleast have the best moves or they could have atlest gave him the dragon buster instead of rose.legend of the dragoon wwwwas pratically the best rpg game ever top me i liked all the charters even though they could have cussed more through out the story line. The story line was great but i wish there were six disks instead of 4 though.If it had 6 disks it would have been more exciting and the dragoon levels went to level 10 and your maximum leveling up was 100 and your maxium live could be 99 thousand and even though it want i still enjoyed the game. I hope they come out with a 2 with dart and albert in it that would be so cool and like put i black charter in there this time or something but i cant wait until ther decide to make Legend of the dragoon to with a end name like The legend of the dragoon the five chossen ones or something like that cause all except Dart and Albert gave up Dragoon and saving the day and there waere five more people. there names could be Hero,Grace,Cortez, Justice,and April. Cortez would take the possesion of dart as the lader cause dart was really to old to be the leader but dart would be strong enought to be the leader and Justice could be second in command and the rest of them wwere praticley equal.So really thats what i like about LEgend of the Dragon even thought i had some dislikes i still give it a ten. And the people that made the Legen of the Dragoon make sure its on PS2 next time and please take my ideas for legend of the dragoon to and make cortez the strongest and main charter if u do make a legend of the dragoon 2 if u take my ideas.

I thought the game was awesome it was better then awesome from the start of disk 1 when you were going through the forest and the green tucked dragon attacked you till the end of disk 4 when you battled the final boss. The game was fun to play it was a long game but worth my time and effort the bosses were fun to battle and I thought the graphics were really good for a ps1 game the attacks by the enemies were really cool what I liked most were the dragoon transformations and the attacks I also liked story line I thought it was geniuses there were twist and turns and you never new what was coming next you also learned the characters in the game my favorite character was rose I loved all of her attacks she was the coolest character in the game the dragons in the game looked really and so did there attacks I hope they come out with a legend of dragoon 2 or at least a game like it the final boss was the longest but funniest battle I wish it was a 10 disk game because 4 wasn’t enough. The game was awesome

I have been playing this game for about one week im almost to the sec disc. I am haveing a little trouble chooseing bettwen the characters lol. I have played through this game and beaten it 3 times. I leveled all my characters and got all level 5 dragoons for everybody. I have played final fantasy 7,8, and 9 but The Legend of Dragoon is still my favorite because of the additions. I have played a long time on this game and I still love it and don't find any reasons not to buy it except for no pausing. The graphics are good for a playstation game but the cutscenes are the best on the playstation. My sister's friend gave me this game and I played the game as soon as I got home. It is hard to compare The Legend of Dragoon to Final Fantasy 7 because these two games are are both my two favorite RPG's. I have played both of them for over 300 hours. If you have never played an Role Playing Game before you need to. These games are meant to be played hours on end. Bottom line is you need to play Legend of Dragoon because of the cutscenes and the additions and definatly the story. I give this game a 10. All I have to say about this game is that this game is the best RPG game I ever played. The grapfics are great for PS1 and the storyline to the game is great. Gaining levels for the characters take a bit long because they split the exp. between the characters but thats ok. Acually in my opinion the characters are great but when I read in some of the reviews some people were saying that some of the characters were bad which they are correct but if you level them up pretty good they would be a little better. I understand miranda is bad but she is acually good to heal your characters if your characters are running low in health. But anyways I've played this game for about 53 hours and I'm going to play it again because it is a great game and its my favorite.
If anybody is going to get this game get it because its best for your money and it is a extreamly great game and if you do get it it will take a long time to beat it but by the time you beat it, you will want to play it again like I did. A hint for you, you have to read in order to know what your doing. The reason why i'm telling you this because I got stuck and after a while of trying to figure it out, I found out I didn't read very well so thats why I got stuck. Anyways I hope this review helped you.

Number 1 thing to make this game better: the graphics in the game to match the graphics in the movie cut scenes
Points I liked in the game:
Additions: great way to be involved and make the game different each time
Cut Scenes: Outstanding graphics and voice overs.
Side quests: Great to have, fun to find.
Points I did not like:
It was really short. Sorry, but I can beat the game in less than 50 hours. Also it takes alot of work just to get more than three characters to the 5th level of dragoon. And it's also hard to finish all the additions. I found myself running in circles just to get more battles.
As with all RPG's I've played, I'd like to have more characters in the battles, and more characters in general.
It would have been great to have Lloyd in my team as well, great character.
The graphics are poor. Absolutly poor. When it came out, I'm sure they were competative, but today...blah. This is not about the movies though, those were outstanding.
The text was sad. The story line was interlaced and complicated (not hard just lots to it) but some of the lines are just dumb.
Dart is a moron. I always get annoyed when the main character in fantasy is out of touch with the obvious. Also shana is way too whiny for me.
Overall I loved the game. Alot. That is why I have so many specific notes about what needed work. This is the only PS game I ever purchased, (thanks to college roomates) and I don't own a PS. I had to have the game. I think it would be awesome to have a sequel to the game, but I don't know how it would fit into the story line. They did solve alot of problems in the game (couple wars, race issues - winglies, whole bunch of upstarts (doel, leenus, etc.). Here's what I think they should do for the LOD2:
Continue the saved game from LOD and start from the last save point to go through the final battle again since you never really get to use the experience points.
New additions, and higher top level for the ones already there.
Higher Dragoon levels.
BETTER GRAPHICS
New characters.
As for the story, here's a way they can get started. Dart is participating in the Strongest Fighter contest again in Lohan, and everyone has come to see him. Then they can run off from there.
