This is by far, the best game I have ever played!!! I bought this game along with my playstation and the second I played it, my jaw dropped! This game has the best storyline, music and gameplay. This game is still my favorite overall game even though I played all of the rest from the Final Fantasy series! This game has the best music because it suits the area around you, the battle music gets your adrenaline pumping and the sad music actually made some people cry(or so I heard)!!! Most RPGs that came after this have the same boundaries because they wanted others to be as much of a sucess. The graphics are cool even though the arms are pretty skinny, but this is the type of game that you have to look past the graphics and see other qualities it has. I'm not saying that the graphics are bad, they are very cool even considering the fact that this was one of the first games to come out for playstation. This game has the best storyline of all time, even after all of these years no game has had such a tremendous storyline! If you havent bought this game, then your a fool and should go buy it immediatly!

Final Fantasy VII is definetly the BEST RPG! It is number one in everything from story, to playablity. It gives you hours upon hours of entertainment. Its originality is also a great aspect. Moving away from the classes, the structure of the game is new and innovating. It also has the best graphics of any game from its time. I recommend this game to everyone! Its something that can't be missed!

Final Fantasy VII really changed what I thought about video games. It's the best game in the UNIVERSE!
It took me into a whole new world. I beat it five times over already, and I still can't get enough of it. I think about it 24/7! I know that I'm a bit....odd...but this is the way I think. I am only 13 years old, and I am now a voice actor, all because of Final Fantasy VII!
I also base part of my "Life" on FInal Fantasy VII.
Anyway, the story, the gameplay, the graphics; I love it all!
I love ALL of the characters! But....it's vey easy to get emotionally involved with them. I couldn't stop crying when I witnessed the death of Aeris...
..and I cried the first time I beat Final Fantasy VII..and saw Midgar at the very end...when Red XIII was looking at it's ruins with his two little cubs...
Well, I also now have the looks and personality of Tifa, and that's (against my wishes) my name in school.
I know this all doesn't make sense...
Final Fantasy VII IS AND FOREVER WILL BE the greatest game in the UNIVERSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I must say, I have many games in my collection, but after it's all done and I've played them all, I always go back to the classic: FF7. This was (and is) the most amazing RPG I ever played! I think it was a combination of things: This was the first final fantasy to have CG sequences... and let me tell you.. when I saw that opening sequence with Aeris watering her flowers... my jaw dropped. And also, the characters were so real. they weren't storybook hero and villian... The main character had flaws and even some evil in him. He wasn't perfect. And even Aeris had flaws. But it made them become real personalities, instead of just a player in a game. That and the immense storyline made this game so great. I also loved how there were so many things to go back and do, even if you'd beaten the game. I still haven't beaten Ruby weapon (sad, but true) and it's been 4 years since I got the game! This is truly a classic. If a FF7 remake were to come along.... I'm not sure if there'd be a price too high. It's just one of those games that is old enough to give you that nostalgic feeling when played, but modern enough to be amazing by way of graphics, music and enjoyability.

i love this game. my friend just introduced it to me, and the first few days i could not stop playing. I love the music and teh characters, especially Cloud. The graphics are usually kind of dumb, but when they paly the movies, its really good.It took me 72 hours to finish, but i want to play it again.

Final Fantasy VII is without a doubt, the BEST and most BRILLIANT RPG ever created!!! Not only are the characters cleverly put together, but the story itself is beautiful, emotional, and it keeps you on the edge of your seat as you play it! Every character in this game is unique (and my Sephiroth is the best, sexiest, most evil and cunning villian in existance!!!)

FF7 has a gr8 storyline...sometimes u can get so far into the stroy u think ur there. The grathics are the first ever 3D grathics in the FF games. It has a amazing, breath taking ending. Also, it has good music and is very fun 2 play. In fact, theres not ONE boring moment in the game. I recomend this game 2 anyone who liked to other FF games or like RPG games.

Wow. Squarsoft have done a great job. When ff7 was released, it was the first ff on the playstation. No one knew what to expect especially one of the greatest rpg's of all time.
The story follows Cloud, a mercenary, caught up in a struggle to save the planet from ultimate destruction. The plot has many twists and with many different characters and bosses, enemies etc, the stroy is very original and adds to FF7's greatness.
The graphics are a bit out dated but they were ground breaking when it was first released. The characters blocky hands makes the game less defined and players will have to use their imagination.
The music has got to be one of ff7's greatest assets. The tunes are simply fantastic. To prove this you can download the songs on mp3 and even get ringtones! In my opinion this has the greatest music out of the whole ff series. Fantastic!
The life span has got to be several weeks, which is truly amazing! Tons of sidequests, monsters, areas to explore, items to collect, mini games, you can even buy your own villa! The game is great to be re-played aswell because there are mini tasks like marching in the parade that can be improved. I must have completed this game about 6 times already. Great lifespan!
The gameplay is unique. Magic is equipped and un-equipped using spheres known as materia. This makes it great fun customising your characters abilities. The battles are fantastic with great user friendly menu's.
In summary, ff7 is without a doubt the greatest RPG of all time! Great music! Great Story! Great Life! Great Game!

This game is what got me into RPGs, simply put. I've been a gamer since the Atari 2600, being 36, but I never knew the likes of an RPG till I got absorbed by my Playstation back in '96. I was an action gamer, till one day, lo and behold: I went out and bought Final Fantasy VII. This game hooked me, cat-quick, and I've been an avid RPGer ever since. Yes, I own almost every RPG now for every system, all thanks to this game. The graphics, though blocky now, were great for that time (when released in the late 90's). The greatest aspect of the game is the story; not only that, but it implements the story in between the gameplay perfectly, for a perfect balance resulting in never getting bored. Some say the game is too dramatic, but I'd have to disagree. You can "feel" these characters come to life, even the enemy, Sephiroth...trust me, after what he does you want to enact revenge so bad you can taste it. Yes, the characters are very well developed, indeed. The music is something else to behold, as are the sounds, the cinemas, the mood, and the gameplay's difficulty balance is spot-on.
Yes, 700 RPGs later, I can still say this is one of the best.

If you like RPG's this is as good as it gets. I played FF 8, 9, & 10 but 7 is far better then all of them combined. A EXTREME must play for anyone. This game has so many extras that aren't needed to beat the game but add an extra element to it. I have a PS2 and still haven't found a RPG that is even playable, much less a better one for it. I keep playing FF7 and final fantasy tactics. If anyone knows of a good game that runs along the lines of either of these PLEASE email me "ohiosucks12< remove me > at yahoo.com"

Its a classic game with great storyline, characters, music everything FF7 is a part of my life know its not worth leaving behind trust me you'll love it its one of the greatest games around.
Its power is extrodenary it just leaves you in the dust its music is the best i've heard and it will keep you playing for hours with its 3 disks it contains

It is a great great game which sets as Cloud Strife an ex-soldier who finds himself working for a puny team known as Avalanche together they try to defeat an all powerfull warrior known as Sephiroth who is my personal favourite it is well thought of and Square did not fail us with this awsome game its possibly one of the best games on the planet so buy it what are you waiting for?

Oh my god! This is so good. The storylines are like brilliant and you really get into it. The characters are so cool too, 'specially Sephiroth! The different musics on the citys are quite good and the way you get addicted to it makes up for the graphics! It lasts for ages too. If you haven't already got it, go buy it now!

This is by far the greatest game in the world. This game is the best Final Fantasy ever. The characters are so realistic and the story line is excellent. I enjoyed playing every min of this game. Ive beaten this game a number of times and it seems that everytime i play it something more new and interesting happends. I love it!!!!!!

it is the best game I have ever played but for those who want to know who/what the first boss is it is a giant metal scorpion and what out for it's tail because when it goes up don't attack unless you want all your party serverly hurt or get game over. OK, I know that FF7 is kinda old, but still I gotta review the best game ever on the playstation. FF7 has incredible graphics and i personaly love the music, this is the best game ever.
Yes even better then Metal gear solid and the Resident evil franchise. and most definitely better then the awful Final fantasy 8. Lets just all hope that FINAL FANTASY IX will be a BLAST!
