A really good game. I just find it a little hard, the graphics are poor, and there are no voices, those are my reasons for giving it 7 stars. Also, I love all of Square Soft's (Now Square Enix) games. And I absolutely love the music in this game! What it lacks in graphics, it makes up for in music. If you really listen, the music is absolutely brilliantly comoposed! I would buy the cd in a flash. I really do have alot of fun with this game and I enjoy the character Cloud. He is a great and well thought out character and so the storyline. I was confused a little by the first few hours of gameplay, but then it started to be clear. This was my very first final fantasy game so you can see why I was a little confused, but all is well. ^_^ Yes, this was a really good game in my oppinion. (I have nothing more to say, but this is supposed to be 200 characters so........ yeah, sorry about the spaces folks, nothing I can do about them......Okay... I guess I will just say good game and be done with it?)

one of the best games squaresoft has ever made.the storyline is great and the charecters kick butt.the new materia and the gold saucer are a great new area.the new american weapons are some of the most hardest bosses ever.i hope many people can play this game.the graphics are not the best but i hope you will all enjoy it.the music is pretty solid but the Sepheroth song at the end kicks butt.the graphics in final fantasy 6 are like Super Mario compared to this.cloud is a great main character and the new weapons are awesome.
for story line i give this game a 7.for graphics i give it a 6 and a half.for originality i give it an 8.for characters i give it 9 and a half.for over all i give it 10.this game is a great over all game.i hope it will rise above all others.the thing i don't get is that they call it mako instead of gaia.they called it gaia in some of the others.well,this game is one of squaresofts best.i hope you buy a copy.this game is usually cheap.

hey-this is my third review on this site. ive done 1 for ff8(i wrote about how much it sucks)and 1 for ff9.i feel good to finnaly do a review for ff7.its my favourite game game ive ever played-its even better than 11.some people believe that ff7 is the first ff game that was ever made-they were unaware that nintendo had its own era of ff games too.when 7 came out it sold a bunch of copies-its even the best ff seller after 6 years.7 introduced many things to the ff series-the limit breaks to themateria system to the 3d graphics to the full motion cinema scenes to the fact of being thefirst cd title. the list goes on and on.ff7 didnt have the best graphics but in every other catogory,ff7 beat all the other ff games.7 was so popular, that square wanted to make a sequel.too bad mr.sakuguchi(the ff7 producer)didnt let them.besides, they were planning to make an ff game even more popular than 7-ff8.however square completly screwed up and 8 didnt make much money(it made less than legend of dragoon!)...8 was a total disaster.people started losing confidence in square- but square had hope in their next title-ff9.again,square screwed up(9 was a great game though)and didnt make as much money as 7 did.squares financal state was getting worse and they wanted to make a sequel to ff7. than again,they had to go on to 10. they were going to make 10-2 when they thought that if 1 sequel succeeds,another might.10 brought ALOT of money(not as much as 7 though).when ff10-2 came to japan it was a hit(again,not as popular as 7 though).so they decided to make ff7-2.however-they did something diffrent-its gonna be a movie.its awesome.i saw a clip of it, it had lots of action.there you go.there is the history of 7 and the beginning of 7-2.now lets get on with the main thing-how ff7 is today.ff7 is a great game(not in terms of graphics though).ff7 had the best story,sounds,music,gameplay,characters,battle system,customization,equipment customization and full motion cinema scenes(in terms of action,tragedy,backgrounds and parts of the story.)ff7 continues to sell even as i type and as you read this.its a greatest hits psx game.youll even find it in the best holiday gift guide today....and i bet,that by the time im my grandfather's age,ff will live on and 7 will still be the best seller and have ,like 50 sequels.now if they make a sequel to ff8 im gonna freakout and someonell bankrupt square for that piece of crap that they made called ff8...an ff game? no way.now ,about 7....well i guess i dont have words that are good enough to describe this great game(i have words to describe how much 8 sucks though).

This game is... awesome. From good graphics to the awesome materia system, excellent story, this game is the NO#1 Final Fantasy. This game is f< remove me > at #$^&% awesome. Anyone who disagrees should be punished. Unlike FF8, you can aquirre weapons instead of remodeling them, and you can use magic without "drawing" it from enemies, Also there is no junction s#$% from FF8 Square indeed hit luck number 7!!!! This is this classic play station rpg!

This game right here is a flawless masterpiece that surpasses all other games of it's genre. it has a powerful story along with its breathtaking fmv movies and amazing cast of characters, this game will blow you away. i did not even know what it was until i played it now im hooked. i am still to keep finding new things in this game, if you dont have this game in your classic playstaton library i must say you are missing out on one of the best role playing games mony can buy. that is all i have to say about that.

I have never played a game as good as ff7 and ive played the hole series if u are reading this and have never played the game i suggest u go and buy right now and i mean now. i happend to be lucky enough to rent this game whilst thinking nothing of it as if it was a normal game and befor no time i was so captiveated with this story.

Cloud is my favorite character of all time so there is an instant plus. Yuffie is the cutest ninja I have ever seen, another plus. The Final Fantasy series is the best series on the face of the earth, yet another plus. The thing that sets this game away from any other game is the fact that its storyline is the best, the characters rock. Even if it doesnt have Ps2 style graphics, but I love that old anime-style graphics. The graphics are perfect in my view as well. So as you can see ff7 is the best game in the world, no one can change my view, beacuse I am sticking with it.

It's very good indeed, fun,exciting,cool and overall is freakin' fun I loved it it was just an amazing adventure. But some say that chrono cross is better some say ff8 is better some say legend of dragoon is better. The truth is they are all fun. If you are a casual rpg gamer than stop yapping about one and play 5 it's great but contains flaws. Every game you play if it doesn't have flaws you're blind,stupid and/or insane about the game you think that has no flaws. I personaly like legend of dragoon then ff7 than ff8 than chrono cross (and don't say chrono is better or ff8 is or somethin like that cause you never played a different game or are BLIND STUPID AND OR INSANE.)i don't even know why i like it more lod is the first playstation game i played and im happy that i did. i enjoyed all rpgs ive played but it's what gets to you more what makes you insane for that game ill rate ff7 5% worst than lod. Overall chrono cross and ff8 i'm sorry it has to be ff7 or lod!

THE GAME HAS SO MUCH you can do on it i think it will be played for a logn time to come and o what a cool game but i still think that ff8 is better than this one becose of the gameplay and the graphics but the story for this game is so outer here so thats y i have geven this game 7 outer ten becose its dam good but i have played better game (ff8 for e.g.) but you will never bet this games fun factor or story line. it works so will the game the title all of it. then the ppl of the game how can you not say how good they are they all have there own x fater that bings them to life BUT you need to think a lot to play it. and there is no way some one can do all the disks in one week let alown one day it. i was on it for a month lol but it was sooo good but its not one of thos games i can play agen and agen like ff8 that i was also on for about a month no ff7 didt make me do it all over agen like ff8 did but still a v-good game. aahhhh one of the best!

This is by far the greatest game in the world. This game is the best Final Fantasy ever. The characters are so realistic and the story line is excellent. I enjoyed playing every min of this game. Ive beaten this game a number of times and it seems that everytime i play it something more new and interesting happends. I love it!!!!!!

From the beginning of the game, and i mean right from the introduction, I was really impressed with the detail and the graphics of this game. The story throws a line and grabs you until the very end. I found myself up till 3am some days just to find out what happened next. The 3D graphics on a 2D background, however, didn't impress me too much. FFVII's battle system was the first thing I was really inpressed with. The only Final Fantasy Game I had played b4 this one was FF1 (The orginal NES version), and i found that impressive for its time. The battle system on VII is one of the best I've ever seen (Except for Sony's Legend of Dragoon). The time guage was a very innovattive piece of technology. This meant you were actually playing real time and you had to pay attention. I found that outstanding. The graphic during a battle are quite impressive as well (especially Cloud's little Sword Twirl at the end of a battle). The thing i hated about this game as well as any other modern Final Fantasy is the Save Point. Why can't you save anywhere. I guess that keeps you playin the game but I was afraid of melting my PSONE disc (the Playstation gets a little warm after 4 or 5 hours of continuous game play). The music on this game is what's keeping this game rating of mine at a 9 (otherwise it would have been a 7). The music for this game is the best ive ever heard. That really brought the whole game together. The replay value of this game is quite high id say. Overall, i think this was a very good game developed by Squaresoft.

i love final fantasy games, but this is by far the best ever! the characters are all very cool, apart from cid. the graphics aren't good now, but back when the game was made, they were amazing, it was the best graphics a console has seen. well in my opinion it was. the sounds range from calm, sad tunes into rough battling noises, and each piece has obviously been put someones heart into. especially aeris's theme tune and cait sith's. the life span is massive! it took me about a week just to get to the end of disc 1!! and the secrets will keep you going for a life time, without making you bored!!! it is a brilliant game. especially the story, with aeris dying, the tragic clip, meteor being summoned upon the earth, and the strange, eerie chill to cloud not being who he thinks he is, and sephiroths mother, jenova how she is released. plus sephiroth is the coolest name and character in all chames. he is the best!!!!!

Oh my god! This is so good. The storylines are like brilliant and you really get into it. The characters are so cool too, 'specially Sephiroth! The different musics on the citys are quite good and the way you get addicted to it makes up for the graphics! It lasts for ages too. If you haven't already got it, go buy it now!

Its a classic game with great storyline, characters, music everything FF7 is a part of my life know its not worth leaving behind trust me you'll love it its one of the greatest games around.
Its power is extrodenary it just leaves you in the dust its music is the best i've heard and it will keep you playing for hours with its 3 disks it contains

It is a great great game which sets as Cloud Strife an ex-soldier who finds himself working for a puny team known as Avalanche together they try to defeat an all powerfull warrior known as Sephiroth who is my personal favourite it is well thought of and Square did not fail us with this awsome game its possibly one of the best games on the planet so buy it what are you waiting for?
9/10 FF7!
