When I was in the 6th grade, i stumbled upon this wonerfully made RPG. I began to play it and after that is history. The game consumed my life for about 3 months. Every night I would go home and play this game from 230 until about 9 at night. I would wake up every morning before school and sneak in a few battles to get my level up. When it was over I fell into a deep depression. i didn't know what to do with myself. about a week and a half ago i was driving to work when i thought "Wow, is should start another file." Since then i have played it 46 hours in that short of a span. So please play this game with caution. This game will suck you dry. But hear me now, IT IS WELL WORTH IT. This game is the greatest game of all time, no question about that. END OF STORY

The first final fantasy i ever played was ff8.....still one of mi favourites but i soon found myself trying the other final fantasy's and to tell you the truth they all ROCK..FF7 will leave a lasting impression on u...Besides the cool materia system......the HUGE array of gf's u can summon,the side-quests and weapon battles you'll find yourself engrossed in the world of Cloud Strife and his counterparts on their quest to save the world from the impending danger brought about by the evil (an verrrrry cool) Sephiroth..
in all mi ramblings i haven't even mentioned the best feature of this truly extraordinary game THE STORY though i won't spoil it for u this game will have u guessing and oohing and ahhing till the vary end ......BUY THE GAME NOW!

Personally I think SquareSoft© is the greatest video company out there, on any game they make, Final Fantasy Just happens to be their greatest, and my absolute favorite game of all time.
My goal is to obtain every Final Fantasy Game ever made, English-Japanese.
but anyway back to the game.
The Game its self is remarkable, and the story lines are always fun, exciting and mind boggeling, and challenging to some extent.
wich is what I love about Final Fantasy.
FFVII has great graphics for its time, the music is wonderful, as it is on all FF's, they need to make a Final Fantasy Collection Set for PS2, have all games on Disc's thats what I want.
but everytime I hear Final Fantasy ** I always hope their lying lol.

This is the 9th RPG i've ever played but it's the best game ever. for one the plot of the whole story rocked harder than metallica could play. and two the side story it had i mean recriuting Vincent and Yuffie and then getting all of the materia and getting all characters to level 99 i mean the way they twist everything and they have sad part's like aeris dying i mean a main charachter just all of a sudden just die i mean out of nowhere and the way they explain each charachters story and how they always save the day and when the end battle comes and Cloud and Sephiroth fight and everything else that happens efore that and battleing the weapons considering they're so hard in my opinoin best game ever made!!!

Whew, it must be tough making game this wonderful. I played Final Fantasy VII first time maybe four years ago and still it suprises me everytime! The graphics are not so wonderful in this game now in 21.th ceuntry, but RPG can be good without great graphics. The first time I played FFVII the main character Cloud shocked me with his style (I also mean by his hairstyle). The coolest character of this game is deffinetly Sephiroth, the One Winged Angel (as I call him). The story is best in the world of RPG and the characters are deffinetly the most wonderious persons in the world of games! I give the full score because I have played this game so many times that I and millions of people can´t be wrong...

Out of all the PlayStation games I've played, this definetly ranks first. The graphics and spectacular SFX make the combat seem real, the world map graphics produce splashes in water and the deserts, canyons, grasslands, marshes and the ocean are perfect. The most interesting part is the battle system with its ATB (Active Time Battle). The Materia system is fantastic and makes the battle system so much easier. The plot is amazing with all the characters having history with the Shinra, there are many mini-quests and most parts of the game are very life-like as you can buy new weapons and breed animals (Chocobos) for racing. This is an excellent game that you must buy, even if you're not an RPG fan.

Final Fantasy rocked the house with it's cinematic FMVs and great mini-games. Final Fantasy introduced you a charaters that all had very big problems and showed how friends can truly help you get through anything.
Final Fantasy has enthralling game play as well as magic, weapons, items and secret specials. If you're the type of player that plays through just to see what it's like then I should ask, do you have 40 hours to spend? Because once you get started you don't want to stop. If you're like me and master the game the first through then you'd have about 80 hours on the game clock. I got pretty much everything in the entire game.
Final Fantasy is the RPG the that raised bar for all others.

Words can't describe this game.I just beat after a month of hard work and it is the best RPG game ever!!! The graphics aren't that great but screw the graphics the gameplay is awesome.The music track is what I think the best ever for the Final Fantasy series.And I love how the charaters have much depth and feeling and how their pasts tie in together.Now that I beat it I feel so empty but now that I beat it I feel that part of the game is prt of me.Oh yeah just wondering at the end when there is only a endless screen of stars does something happen after a while or is it just the same?(I know the answer but if there is something please e-mail me)

I've only been playing this game for a few days now and I'm already in awe at how great it is. The graphics are great considering how old it is, the musics great, it fits in perfectly with whats going on. the gameplay is sweet, its very addictive. I'm currently on disk 2(disk one only took me a couple of days since I played it so much) and am having a great time. This is a must have for any gaming fan. When I first Played Final Fantasy Tactics I thought games couldnt get better, But I think FF7 beats out FFT. The graphics, gameplay, music, characters, EVERYTHING is great. Buy this game NOW!!! I mean it NOW!!! GET UP AND GO BUY IT NOW!!!If you don'y you'll regret it, I guarantee it.

This is the best game i have ever played on ps 1. The graphic was so great. you were always on the edge of the seat when your playing this game.. Although the monsters are hard if you havent beaten it once...THe music was great but i have never heard them speaking so i wouldnt know...The gameplay was great..the monsters, the weapons, the characters, and the missions.. I would definetly consider this game..because it is the number one Game on my list on playstation 1. The graphic of this game is better than some of the games on ps 2. I thought the fun factor was great because you get great rewards and it is just awesome.... this is a must play game.. I give this game a 10!!!!!!

I've got to admit, I didn't understand this game the first time I played it. I never played an RPG before FFVII but once I started I was hooked. I stated playing FF7 in the winter time in 1998. The graphics amazed me, and the story line was astounding! I still play FF7 to this day! You can never grow tired of this game because there is so much to discover, such as the 24 different enemy skills, or master materias. The battles are awesome as you play through the story line, but get rather simple when you get to level 99! I give this game a ten. Being as old as it is, the graphics are great! No comparisons by any margin! This game is a must have for any video game enthusiast!

Now don't get me wrong I have played all of the Final Fantasy Games up to this point, and I find them all original and very cool in their own respects, but Final Fantasy 7 is just the best. The Materia System was a great upgrade, and the story line left me feeling empty when I beat the game. The graphics at the time of release where the best. Overall I think it is the best RPG ever made, and the very least for the playstation. I also find that the series is making a very drastic turn in the wrong direction. Going online is the worst thing to ever happen to the series, and I've very sad to say I believe we have seen the best, and that would have to be Final Fantasy Seven.

This game is my favourite game in the final fantasy series sure the grapics aren't that great but if you look at the movie sequences there amazing your always in control.I love it WHAT A STORYLINE yeah i know it's all this save the world stuff but it rocks and the story is so much more complex then it actually seems! The materia is so cool and the summons are funky! NOW COME ON you have to admit it has the coolest villan EVER!I suppose the good guys are cool to but nowhere near as deadly as Sephiroth.It's also great in this game you go into thecharcters backrounds and there mind seeiously you haven't played a game till you've played Final Fantasy 7!

this game is(by far)the best game to ever hit the game world..created not just for the playstation but also fir pc gaming as well...as many of the other reviews show, it lacked in a few areas...had squarsoft spent a little more time on the graphics,the game would still be number one seller in the world...my suggestion to square soft is...instead of making new titles of the final fantasy saga...why not do to final fantasy 7 what they did to final fantasy 10....just dont touch the game play...and or the woupens and materia system...just add better graphics and what you would have is the best game ever made...one that will stand the test of time....

I've just heard about stationplay.com and before I go about giving my points of view on other games, I have to give some respects to basically the GREATEST VIDEO GAME EVER. The graphics are stellar for its time, and are still pretty good as of today. The gameplay is flawless and there storyline will simply absorb you. I have honestly cleared this game multiple times, and there is literally to much to do. My review is not giving this game justice. It is simply amazing. 10 out of 10 in every department. It towers over FF8 and FF9. It set the standard for all Playstation RPG's and no other game has, in my opinion, come close. Perfect.

I think that final fantasy vii (7) is the best final fantasy on the playstation with it's stunning fmvs and gripping storyline. I recommend this game to anyone that likes rpg games and doesn't mind an old game. All of the characters have their own stories that link in with the other (i.e. Cloud is on a mission to stop sephiroth destroying the world from meteor, and Aeris is on a mission to save the planet from meteor with holy), so as you see final fantasy vii is worthy of more than 10 stars rating and anyone that says differently shouldn't have played the game at all. In my opinion final fantasy vii is the best rpg game on the playstation.

Final Fantasy has always been one of the best games on the market, But If you ask me the best game has to be Final fantasy VII. The plot of the game is awsome, starting off as a mercenary who is hired by a group called AVALANCHE, trying to blow up a reactor made by SHINRA who is basically sucking the life out of earth with there Plants. Something else i thought was awsome is that the main person of the game (CLOUD) Has this huge sword that he easily swings around on his back with ease. And the main Bad guy has the longest samarai sword ever. So, basically, if you are looking for the best RPG to buy get FINAL FANTASY VII.

I think that this game is good because of the story line. I also think the roles of the characters make this game good. My favorite character is Tifa because she is very powerful girl who is not afraid to go into battle. She grew up in the slump and owns her own bar and is always to go on an adventure. Then there's Cloud he always dreamed of being in Soldier. He wanted to go on adventures like his role model Sepiroth. Although he came up short on his dream he still was modivated to be as strong as Sepiroth and to go on all kinds of adventures. These characters are some of the reasons why this game is great.

final fantasy 7 is my faverite final fantasy game i neva get board of it unlike the othas. final fantasy 7 is the longest and most challenging rpg game made i recon.the graphics arnt so bad except inthe movie clips thaps gd grapics like wen clouds on the bike and the break out the shinra mansion or wen aries dies n he puts her into the water. i like the idea bout rasin and racin ur chocobo. in the game there is bout 20 story lines n there all gd. i like the final battle cloud vs sepheroh(cnt spell his name) set limit ominislash. i only need 1 more summen den iv done the game n thats alexanda.

ok ive been playing this game ever since it came out in 97 and i beaten emerald and ruby ive beaten the game many times but one thing keeps poping up at junon when you goto the underwater reacter as soon you step off the first elevator going down you get off then to the right you see an opening and a dog is blocking the opening and eachtime i come to this i wonder what is behind the dog what is the dog hiding? but ne way if ne of you know about this please put it up on the board im going to continue my search about this and if i find out i will post it but until then ttfn (ta ta for now).
