back at 1998 my uncle had his playstation over the house so I decided to go over to block buster and rent a game and there it was brand new and unstoppable FF7.I rent it and I played it it was awsome I only got to where you must take aries to some big town I never got there.1 year later me and my dad decided to buy a playstation he got madden and I got what I wanted to have FF7 so I styarted a new game because I never had a memory card back then now I made it through and believe me you will never have a better adventure then this even though they may make better and more fun rpg games in the future but you must execpt the fact that the one that started it all was this game.When I saw barrets friends die in that explosion I was in tears (I don't care trust me you would do the same thing)then when the I saw the past of sephiroth I was scared after I saw that man beat the crap out of those monsters. then.........when I saw aries die I never been more sad and vengeance in my life.later then I found out about cloud not what he really was that was freaky.then when I found out he was the one who beat the crap out of sephiroth I was surpised!!!!!.Then when it came down to just me and sephiroth when I was about to kill him once and for all I thought about everybody.cloud aries,Especially Tifa,the group ,jesse wedge biggs(dudes those names have been familar almost every game if you think about it)when it was finally over I didn't want to think about it I wanted this game to keep going forever but then in the end you always have to say goodbye to these legends ,heros,friends.God thank you for bringing these legends to our hearts and mabye one day one day we can say hi once again until then rest easy heros and thank you for the good times.

I got to tell you, we can't describe somethings like this game, i can't tell how good this game is just with some words, if you never played Final Fantasy, buy this one and you'll never leave Final Fantasy Series, you'll want to buy all of them, 8, 9... and one thing too, even starting to buy and play other Final Fantasy Series, you'll never forget this one. That's what happened with me, just BUY IT! This game will be really more than a game in your life.

I have been playing this game since it game out in 98', I just cant get enough of the great story line, and even though i have beaten it a few times, Sephroith is still a challange, and so are a few of the other boss's and i have yet to find all summons and items, and wepons, and i will still play till i find them all!!, i recomend this game to all RPG gamers, newbie or expert, it is a challange to all!!

i got this game when i was 9 and im 14 and i still havent stop playin it.final fantasy games are always games that u never really put down and never play again.everyone comes back for more ff sometimes like i do.ive beaten the game only once but i have beaten the emerald weapon all i need is to kill that ruby weapon and i have officaly mastered the game,but even if you finish games they seem to come back to you.Well what more can i say??its my fave and best game ive ever played.

FF7 is the best final fantasy there is in the entire history of final fantasy. the storyline grabs you from the beginning and doesnt let you go. just when you think you know everything there is to know about the characters, a twist is thrown in that ties with the rest and makes it even more exciting than before. the playing graphics are kindof blockish, but the cinema graphics are just about top of the line. i love the boss battle music and the ending fight and scenario is spectacually put together and organized. i am on my 4th time beating it and i still havent gotten bored of it. when i beat it again, i am going to start over once more. i only hope that they make a remake without changing any of the story just make into PS2 graphics. this game is a die-if-you-dont-have-it game. i would recommend this game at any time to any person.

The final fantasy series has always been king of rpgs. from nearly being bankrupt, square created final fantasy, and stayed alive.since then it has become one of the best gaming series out, only games like zelda can top them. i had played all FF games on nes and snes, 3 being the best of them. when ff7 was released it had alot of hype, not uncommon for a FF game. i soon found out that all that hype was for no reason. first of, the characters. lame, cloud is ok but all the rest are lame. sephiroth wants to be cool, but hes just to girly to be. all the other charas dont even seem like they fit into the same game. the graphics are bad, even for Ps standards. the charas are blocky and look like midgets on the field. the worst of all this is the story. after being 10+ hours into the game and then the story becomes clear. soon after however, it completely falls apart. it takes alot of intrest out when the story falls flat. nonetheless, it is a FF game, and the battle system is great, which makes up for the shortcomings. in reality, this is not the best FF game, RPG or best game ever, its far from any of them. anybody who thinks so is either a. has never played FFX or FF3, b.never played any other RPGs, or c. knows nothing. as far as best RPG goes, FFX holds that crown, followed by chrono trigger, and best game, zelda ocarina of time. so, if you want an amazing RPG, you wont find it here, if you want a mediocre RPG, FFVII is where its at.have fun

Final Fantasy 7 was the very first game for the playstation that I played, and I still haven't found a game that matches it in storyline, depth, or characters. When I first started to play it, my first thought was "oh no, this whole game is just gonna be going around bombing all the reactors, isn't it." But I'm happy to say it was much much more than that. As soon as I left Midgar, I knew that everything I did there was just a small part of a gigantic story that had me glued to the couch for hours on end. I once sat from 10 in the morning to 4 in the morning, doing nothing but playing it. You may think that's sad, or you may think "hey, I've done that same thing," but either way, it just shows how gripping the story is. I do admit that it bugged me how annoying Cloud was at times, or that THEY HAD NO MOUTHS!!, but once you get passed the graphics this game is the best game ever. And really, once you get into the story you don't even notice the graphics any more. Though I do think that they should remake it for the PS 2 with voice acting and much better graphics. THEN it would really be the best game. Or a movie. Could you imagine how great a FF7 movie would be? As long as they didn't twist it to be as horrible as the Final Fantay movie. That was disappointing. Blech.

This game right here is a flawless masterpiece that surpasses all other games of it's genre. it has a powerful story along with its breathtaking fmv movies and amazing cast of characters, this game will blow you away. i did not even know what it was until i played it now im hooked. i am still to keep finding new things in this game, if you dont have this game in your classic playstaton library i must say you are missing out on one of the best role playing games mony can buy. that is all i have to say about that.

This game is, without a doubt, the best game I have EVER played. It's the game that got me into the Final Fantasy genre - before buying this game in 1997, I was a casual, slightly-moronic gamer, obsessed with driving games and shoot-'em-ups. I bought FF7 because a friend told me it was an awesome driving game (sad, huh? - I didn't even check the box or ask anyone about it, I took him at face value), and I was dissapointed as hell when I found out I had 'wasted' 30 pounds. But I was determined to find a silver lining in this dark cloud (get it? CLOUD? ^.^), and I began playing that very night. I was hooked. I played it for almost ten hours straight, and I still hadn't nearly finished the first disc. The characters are perfect - none of them are cliched or unrealistic. Cloud isn't the typical vision of a Hero - not the butt whompin' hero wielding a magical blade, but a skinny, spiky-haired guy with psychological problems and an enormous sword. Barret isn't the typical vision of a 'sidekick' - an overweight black guy with a gun grafted onto his hand and a hatred unequalled regarding the Shinra corporation. The only 'cliched' character is Vincent Valentine, and that doesn't really matter because he kicks butt anyway (think black-cloaked guy with a creepy voice who can turn into a demon at will, and you've pretty much got it). So that's what got me at first - the sheer originality.
But that's not all! The game itself is so remarkably huge. It took me almost 40 hours to finish it on my first go, and I was so mesmerised by the end sequence and final battle with Sephiroth (the coolest villain OF ALL TIME, in by opinion. How can you not love him? Black-cloaked, silver-haired, masamune-wielding lunatic who gradually mutates into a foul parody of an Angel, all the time messing with the good guys minds and sneakily trying to drivem the group apart), that I began the game all over again, just for kicks. The music is superb, the fun factor is practically unequalled, and the graphics - though not perfect - are enjoyable enough, and become near-perfect in the cut sequences. I would advise ANYONE who likes RPGs - and anyone who doesn't! - to buy this game immeadiately. It came out 7 years ago (ironic, huh?) and it STILL beats most games into sheer pulp when it comes to RPGs.. or any other type of game.

Square have succeded in making a really wicked rpg game here, with the brilliant characters and side-quests, i should be saying how perfect it is. but the graphics, musics and the overall idea of materia really sucks. magic stones that come out of the world, and birth while attatched to your weapons? i think square can do better than that. also,the gameplay really slides downhill after u leave midgar. its more fun working for a rebel group blowin things up than huntin a mental freak down. but overall, good game. sqaure rule, yeh. also, has any1 else completed the game? i wont tell u wat happens in case u ahvent, but u r treated to such a wicked FMV! such a shame all the other scenes of normal play couldn't be like that... but as i need to use up 200 words, i guess im goin 2 go on a bit longer....the gold saucer is da best! wish there were more theme parks like that in the world, cuz id pay all the money in the world 2 get in there 4 one day. so if any1 else has any queries about final fantasy VII, e-mail me at gigagravijation< remove me > at hotail.com!

First off, I would like to say that this game was a really good one, but it doesn't beat my all time favorite, Final Fantasy VIII. This game had okay graphics for a first time 3-D game of its series. The plot was really good, and the battle sequences/mini movies are awesome! This is what a classic version of Final Fantasy is! It is purely a good game, at least in my opinion. It took me some time to beat this game.... it was worth it. The only dislikes I have are... well I actually have none. Please feel free to email me if you have any questions about this game, or Final Fantasy 8 through 10. I will be glad to assist you in any way I can. Have a good gaming experience everyone! I really recommend that you go and buy/rent a copy of this game, and I guarantee that it will be good. I hav competed the game and the best part is when you finish it and the movie comes on. The graphics are crap and the gold chocobo magically floats, no actually runs on top of the water which makes the game no fun. The chocobo should die after 2 steps or sumpin to make you feel all sad and youll hide in your room and pray to god or something that you can get another. red is a dog that is atleast 200 years old and still does more than that stupid spikey haired jerk that is the main character. cloud has nightmares and doesn't know the difference between memories and something he saw on t.v. the fact that they tried to and i emphisise the word tried to make it 3d i should give them credit for but to me this game was about as good as watching barney. i am not telling you to not play it but there are other things you could do with your time like shoot somthing or taking a baseball bat to your teachers head or car either way i'll be happy. the game was simple and the fact that every step is a battle pissed me of. all in all i think this game was ok but not good enough for me.

final fantasy seven wasn't that great of a game because the storyline was terrible in the game until around the end of the game so you sit there through two discs that are so boring that you can barly stand it and can't stop because you want to see what happens. Then you have the graphics yeah i know it was made in 1997 or somthing but i seen games that were were way better in that time. Did you guys see the monsters in that game they are the worst i mean fighting a machine house that shoots huge bombs from the chimney is pretty gay if you ask me. Ijust don't see how you guys think this was the best final fantasy game ever made if you want to play a good game play final fantasy 10 now that is an great game that doesn't get boring and you don't beat in a day. It has great graphics good storyline and good battle style. the characters features they did a great job on it. the monsters very cool in this game and there not houses that can shoot bombs and sin now that is an awsome monster and the summons to are very cool.

As RPG player, i like long games with good story line and complex characters and FF 7 is one of the best RPG i played. Of course the graphics aren't good but you have to remember that, when the game was made the conceptors used the best tech they disposed and you can't seriously compare FF7 graphics with new games like FF X, the technology isn't the same. If you play the game till you beat Sephiroth you'll forget about the graphics because the rest of the game aspect(materia system, story line, side quests) make FF 7 one of the best RPG ever made and even now, the newer games can't beat it. The materia system is awesome, specialy if you combine materia like Master Summon materia and HP Absorb or Add Effect materia with Hades materia, or even better if you use Master command materia with Steal as Well materia or HP Absorb.If you judge a game by the graphics it has you miss the essential of what a game is supposed ti do, entertainment. I'll just add this to my comments, if you like good RPG and you don't mind about graphics, FF 7 is a great choice.

you will never get bored with it!!! There are 3 discs so the game contiuos on and on and on untill you beat disc three.Thats alot of action and adventure for me,and the graphics are cool on the videos and the map when you leave continets can be a little better but i still give it a 10 out of 10.But besides all of that you need to buy this game,like i said its kinda ssad and kinda hard to predict or tell whats gonna happen.When you fight your use to be companion or team mate 5 years ago named sepheroth it may take a while or if you skilled is still hard but yet easy.I think its hard for me because im fighting strong enemies and all.Im pretty sure you are too,so you should recamend this game 10 out of 10.I have cloud on level 29 right now but im gonna get him on level fifty before i do what i suppose to do.

I once played ff7, indeed i did enjoy it but being my first play at a RPG i died a lot and give up. With fantastic reviews to ff8 i played and completed ff8, being over whelmed with enjoyment i took adive from true ff fans and continuted ff7. Graphics are always a problem if u want them to be, however once i was playing ff7 it made no diffrance, the graphics, although outdated was nothing compared to the superior gameplay, excitment, story. The characters are the best i've ever seen, captivating the player into listening to the individial storys. apart from that there is the massive world and a hell of a lot to explore, hidden quests, hidden bosses and more made me play it the second time to complete more, and to this day still playing. The hype for ff7 was well worth it, and even today ask any rpg fan and they will tell you ff7 has touched places where no other rpg can ever go. Not many massive long hour games make u want to play again and again, but in ff7's case, the more you play, the more of the story you will understand, and the more you will complete. This is indeed the greatest game ever overall. People who haven't tried a rpg should try this, this lays the icing on the cake for anyone to enjoy rpgs
